Both shows have a strong female lead with two male pursuers. I don't want to give away the story but I will say that the first guy doesn't like her until the second one walks in. She grows stronger as the show progresses... which I love.

Both are about reporters but the story has a different feel and storyline each. Healer is like a mix with "City Hunter" elements to it, while Pinocchio has "I Hear Your Voice" elements/feel to it well. Healer also has references to superman which is what I love. Healer and Pinocchio both have main leads who are all connected by a past which brings them together, and the story enfolds by those main leads trying to discover the truth about what exactly happened in their pasts that lead to such tragic events. Both Dalpo/Ha-myung and Junghoo/Bongsoo have similar tragic pasts too, while their love interests is what makes them feel 'human'. Both themes shows importance of relationships and having someone/people who cares for you in your life. As for female leads, both of them have really strong females which is refreshing to see. I hate watching dramas where the female lead is always weak. The one thing I always love when watching kdramas is when the drama's pace is not slow. Things are revealed in a timely matter without dragging the story on, so watching becomes very enjoyable. The fast pace is what makes a 20 hours drama few like 1-2 hours and this is exactly what both drama has. The fast pace feel is what makes both of them very addictive and amazing. Not to mention the romance between leads is just swoon worthy! *sigh* I think this is due to the amazing chemistry of JCW/PMY and LJS/PSH; and this is really reflected as both pairs won awards for Best Couple (2014) from KBS and SBS award ceremonies respectively (as well individual awards each too) <3

P.s. sorry for such a long recommendation but I can't help but love both dramas so much! They're both dramas that shouldn't be missed. So I strongly recommend both - trust me, you won't regret watching :D

They both involve, bringing in tough teachers to take care of problem children. Although for Gokusen she hides her family status in the yakuza and G.T.O. he doesn't hide anything or tell anyone unnecessarily about his life in the yakuza

I think the plots are somewhat similar. The leading men both had childhood traumas and the lading women both had a connection to the trauma. Then both men got jobs later on because of that trauma. I just thought of You're All Surrounded when I started to watch Pinocchio.

Uhm Tae Woong is stellar in both productions. Even more of a reason, both dramas are written and directed by the same crew.

The main lead makes a complete makeover to revenge against the ones betraying them in the first place... complicated family and love matters are common in both. Temptation of an Angel is more tactical in the planning, while Birth of Beauty uses humor more

Both are mini series about love. Differences: each episode of KARA has a different story, while "Love Cells"continues with each episode. Although I prefer Love Cells over KARA, both are quite good.

I've written this recommendation before earlier in the series of Healer on how I thought CH and Healer have the same feel to each other initially. So now I'm here to edit and correct myself... Yes they do initially, but after episode 3 or more of Healer, I've come to realised that these 2 are very different dramas in their own rights. CH has great action scenes and delves more into the revenge-plot. Whereas, Healer isn't about revenge at all. More time is given into character development which makes each character much more layered. Healer has more OTP moments which makes me love and it isn't solely focused on full-on action (although I do love the action here). Similarities between these two dramas would only be the same lead actress and the action aspect, and then the two story goes off quite differently. PMY plays a very different character between these 2 to the point where I almost didn't recognise that she's the same girl for both dramas.

There's no dragging or boring bits for both dramas - each episode constantly keep you on your toes and wanting to know what happens next. While both have serious plots there are just enough comedic and romantic elements in between them for a more enjoyable watching experience. Healer of course has more romance/OTP interaction ? If you love one drama or the other then I would recommend both. I thought I should clarify since there were a lot of comparisons between CH and Healer.
