While Extracurricular is a more action-packed and dramatized story, Better Days provides a realistic and heartbreaking account of a victim of bullying. In both stories, parental figures remain largely absent and it is up to the teenagers to learn to survive the cruel education system (and life in general). Both the series and the movie do not shy away from difficult, dark (and maybe even taboo) social questions.

Both of the series have a Moriarty type figure, a brilliant criminal mind behind it all, who is the driving force and loves playing cat and mouse with the hero and his team.

Both series are detective stories with a Sherlock Holmes twist, and both have a very quirky, dark sense of humor.

Strong female leads with cute male leads who help ghosts pass on. This time they are both human tho. Great story for those who like "mystery episodes"

I don't know how to write anything without spoiling the stories, but they both have a very similar plot twist. And they are both absolutely beautiful.

They are both thrillers that focus on the psychological outcome of the protagonists who are confronted with the society around them but mainly with themselves

Both have an intelligent bunch of main characters solving mysteries with a side of romance. Young Blood is also set in ancient China and is about a group of 6 teens who come together and build strong friendships alongside fighting evil.
Bonus cute daughter Su Xiao Tong is also in Young Blood
