A strange foreign woman arrives at a Japanese provincial temple to attend an abbot's funeral. No one knows where she comes from or why she came here. Clearly, she has no place to go. Same Male Lead, awesome charismatic characters. Modern. Fast plots that you will likely get through in one watch. Both stories have an Ex (2ML) that is gotten rid of by the Male Lead.

Same, same but different. Both are girly, fun-to-watch shows where the cast — like many Koreans — enjoys eating together, and food plays a major role in both shows. The only difference is that Earth Arcade is more music/K-pop based and focuses on traveling and exploring new cultures, while Hyemileechaepa is more about playing games to earn everyday items and furnish an empty house.

All the elder cast in The Litchi Road is from The Longest Day in Chang'an, as well as the director and the original creator. The setting is in the Tang Dynasty, taking place 10 years after the events in The Longest Day in Chang'an, so the vibe and the atmosphere is the same.
