If you loved the mix of romance and fantasy in A Good Day to Be a Dog, you’ll enjoy Legend of the Blue Sea. This drama revolves around a mermaid and a con artist whose lives are connected across time. Like the curse in A Good Day to Be a Dog, the story explores overcoming supernatural obstacles to be with the one you love.

Both Big Mouth and The Devil Judge delve into themes of power, corruption, and societal injustice, but what truly connects these dramas is their morally ambiguous protagonists and intense, suspenseful narratives.

Both dramas excel at crafting dark, high-tension atmospheres with unpredictable twists, compelling social commentary, and protagonists who fight to reveal the hidden truths of a deeply corrupt system. If you enjoyed Big Mouth's gritty suspense and battle of wits, The Devil Judge will keep you hooked with its electrifying courtroom drama and masterful storytelling.

-Similar topic of a place in between. Characters aren't at first sure where they are or if they are alive.
-moves between worlds and at first you're not sure what's real or what's not.
-the Japanese is a movie so it moves very fast and you don't get the background of all the characters who are in the place (mine or working for the mine).
-Japanese movie is more philosophical, while Korean tries to be spooky and evilish.
The Korean series provides a lot of background on the characters and is a bit too dark in terms of cinematography.
-Of course, Japanese is minimalist as usual with fewer characters, but very beautiful cinematography.

This isn't a bl explicitly but the male leads have pretty intense chemistry and tension through out that makes it better than so many of the actual bl's out there.

Very similar premise, about four best friends finding love for the first time in high school. Biggest difference would be how in Koi ni Mudaguchi every character has a partner, while HaruDan has a bit more drama between the boys.

Both the MLs are losers in love. It has "he fell FIRST and he fell HARDER" trope. None of them get swayed by the other girl trying to stab their relationship with FLs.

Both dramas heavily use the rich/poor trope. Both the main and side couple in both dramas use it.

High Society is more drama vs. Business Proposal is a romcom.

However the real reason I link these two together is the second leads stealing these shows for me.
