They are both amazing LGBTQ+ stories. Both are widely different in terms of story (except for two men falling in love), but they are both worth watching. They deal with LGBTQ+ struggle and acceptance in their own ways.

Both focus on the different relationships and friendships made inside of prison.

Both have a main character who was sent to jail due to unfortunate circumstances of self defence.

Shows the good, bad and ugly of jail rehabilitation and those in power who take advantage of their higher position.

Finally, both were highly acclaimed when they were released.

I find some similarities between both series, although the projects' proposals are different:

- Both tell a different story per episode, but in After Dark are connected and in GFN not (just the constant proposal of Nanno being the new classmate).

- Both are open to show violence, blood or sexual content.

- The series uses supernatural recourses. AD is into demons, ghost and witchcraft stuff, while GFN is more fantasy and dystopia.

- The protagonists of each story are grey characters, with a dark side and impulses.

- There is a character that remains in the background of all stories, Nanno and Dao (But Dao doesn't have so much appearance as Nanno).

- Also, Nanno and Dao look alike, not only in the physic side (the mole under the eye) and their typically beauty of a femme fatale, but both are mysterious characters of indefinite identity who act with no particular reason more than finding fun, both have a maniacal and creepy laugh.

The story arc is very different but they both have the tried and true formula of people who knew each other in high school meeting later in life and pursuing a relationship with each other. How they are similar is that the gorgeous male lead pursues his love interest relentlessly, believing in her wholeheartedly and supporting her as she strives to be her best self. I like dramas where the gorgeous guy is NOT just the typical clueless boss running roughshod over his subordinates (although there is a little bit of that). Both men are resolute in their convictions and in pursuit of their love interests. The stories send a positive message of unconditional love no matter what the difference in circumstances and show how women should expect the men in their lives to uplift and support their girlfriends.

- Both drama's have high school students with diverse personalities who are starting in performing arts and at the same time are growing in life. 'Do Dream' has just 5 brief episodes though and is far less ambitious or a well-knows series like 'Dream High' is.

very funny, unusual story, Romeo and Juliet are the names of the drugs in Not Quite Dead Yet. And Nisekoi ruins Romeo and Juliet in the school play. They do it in the best possible way. It was one of my favorite parts.

'My Youth' (or 'Wait, My Youth') has a similar dynamic between the two leads, with the ML initially aloof and somewhat antagonistic toward the FL. The FL does not chase after him, though, but instead is attracted to another boy, who happens to be the ML's best friend.

It's the ML who slowly comes around to realizing that he was wrong when he once admonished her by saying he could never like a girl like her.

The story follows them through high school and college and into young adulthood, and has a definitive HEA.

Although they are different in terms of the length and genre, both shows falls in marriage. In Once Again, there are a lot of couples that were divorced but the main couple's cause of their fallout is similar to the main couple in VIP. I highly recommend both!

They remind me of each other because both is BL and both have an age gap and also about Student/Teacher relationship..

-concept of parallel world in both the shows
-crossing over to other world, lead actor takes the actress who actually doesn't believe in his words.
-secret of gateway to other world is known by few people and evil people come to covet it.

Both have a younger guy/older girl relationship
They’re both really cute
The dramas have similar atmospheres

They are not similar in terms of plot line at all but both contain a love triangle (the one in True Beauty is more intense though as it is the central plotline here), have a balanced amount of humor, romance and slight melodrama. Also both of them are super enjoyable and can be watched mindlessly and still leave you smiling due to the extreme cuteness they are filled with!

Both set in Jeju Island where you feel warm and cozy.
Both has a cozy kind of story - a simple and cute kind of Rom-Com.
It also has the same kind of story of moving on in life also in love. Also finding the right one for you at the right time with enough time.

Warm and Cozy is a Rom-Com drama that has a lot of funny and sweet scene too.

Chunhyang is basically the movie about the South Korean folktale of a girl named Chunhyang who belonged to lowest the tier of society and fell in love with an aristocrat. Bang Ja Chronicles is actually adapted version of the folktale with a twist in the tale where Chunhyang fell in love with the Servant Bang Ja instead of his master.

Awkward male lead who tries various tactics to win the female lead's heart. Similar awkward leads, very comedy centric & romantic (in an adorable way)
