The Paradise of Thorns (2024), where the male protagonist is emotionally and financially manipulated by his lover’s family, and Moonlight Chicken (2023), where themes of inequality, emotional betrayal, and the imbalance of power in romantic relationships are also explored — especially how one partner’s background or circumstances leave them vulnerable.

Similar setting where the female main character gets transported to ancient time, ends up as a slave, and has to buy her own freedom using inventions and ideas from the 21st century.
DeanPharm is the serious version of JohanNorth (because, obviously, North and "serious" can never be used in the same sentence)

A strange foreign woman arrives at a Japanese provincial temple to attend an abbot's funeral. No one knows where she comes from or why she came here. Clearly, she has no place to go. She gets shelter to help in the temple. Jennifer, or 'Jenifa' as she is called, barely knows a few words of Japanese, but soon finds a common language with all residents except for one quiet boy. He lives secluded from others and works all day in a field. Residents call him "Prisoner A" behind his back. Jennifer shows genuine interest in the quiet boy and wants to help him overcome his alienation from the inhabitants.

Mirror of the witch and The Haunted Palace treat about evil spirits which endanger the Royal Family.
Both have romance and comedy too, and different ghosts which pop out sometimes.
Mirror of the Witch is darker and also more complex (story and characters).

Feud and TBBM are both fantasy romance dramas about couples who start off at odds but slowly grow closer through shared struggles. They’re set in magical worlds with cultivation, fate, and emotional healing at the center. Feud is more tragic and intense, while TBBM has more political drama and slow-burn trust. Both stories focus on love, second chances, and finding each other again after pain.
Not the same genre and without detective plot, also this one is more on romance. Yet, both have time travel and how the couple leads are destined to meet in one lifeline. And both have the same plot of leads saving their significant other.
Similar action BL drama with power play between the leads. Similarity with the anti-hero main character.
Both female lead has leg amputation. Both male lead are very supportive. Strong female lead with soft side. Family drama. Friendship, independent,
They're both Disney plus originals. They deal with serial killers and the medical field. The actors have similar cast of young female lead and older male lead and it appears like they'll have the same complicated relationship (non romantic of course).
