ML has a prominent role in this drama. It showcases his acting. This is one of the legendary series that is hard to beat.

Main differences is that BG has a zero to her journey for the ML and mostly takes place in a prison while Connection does not and is more focused on drugs.

These two shows differ quite a lot in tone and plot, but they both focus on the philosophy and reasoning behind why people lie. They both explore the many reasons why people lie to protect themselves, protect others, to hurt others, to brag, or simply out of fear. They cover the topic with nuance, individual and complex characters, and don't tell you what's right or wrong, but simply talk about it.

In the city of romance, the FL lies to protect herself due to trauma and ends up compulsively lying quite often. She works through her anxiety and grows as an individual whilst dealing with her lying until she begins to feel safe enough to be honest.

In Usotoki Rhetoric, there are mysteries each episode with the lead characters having to unravel the lies of the people involved. The FL is able to hear lies and she learns the reasons why people lie in each episode which helps her to reflect on herself and her ability.

Both are adapted from novels written by the same author. Although WIFTY is more based in high school than FF, both have really thoughtful & kind male leads.

Os dramas A Melhor Coisa e My Unicorn Girl compartilham várias semelhanças em termos de narrativa e desenvolvimento do romance.

1. Proximidade inesperada – Em ambos os dramas, os protagonistas acabam convivendo mais do que imaginavam. Em A Melhor Coisa, Lin Xi e Ji Jun Xing começam com um relacionamento difícil, mas acabam se aproximando. Em My Unicorn Girl, Wen Bing e Sang Tian acabam dividindo um dormitório e se envolvendo no mesmo time. Da mesma forma, Shen Xi Fan e He Su Ye acabam morando na mesma comunidade e se encontram frequentemente.


2. Personagens com cicatrizes emocionais – Em todos os três dramas, os protagonistas têm traumas do passado que dificultam seu envolvimento amoroso. Shen Xi Fan e He Su Ye têm desilusões amorosas anteriores, assim como Lin Xi e Ji Jun Xing, que enfrentam desafios emocionais. Em My Unicorn Girl, Wen Bing tem sua condição médica e seu passado que o tornam mais fechado.


3. Romance de desenvolvimento gradual – O amor cresce aos poucos, com encontros frequentes e momentos de convivência. Nenhum dos casais se apaixona

4. Protagonista feminina independente e determinada – Tanto Shen Xi Fan quanto Lin Xi e Sang Tian são mulheres fortes, focadas em seus objetivos, mas que precisam aprender a equilibrar sua vida pessoal e profissional.


5. Protagonista masculino gentil e protetor – He Su Ye, Wen Bing e Ji Jun Xing são do tipo que inicialmente parecem mais fechados, mas na verdade são atenciosos e se tornam grandes apoiadores das protagonistas.

Family is one of the most important things in both dramas. In Be Reborn it's about a father and son, in The Embers, it's about brotherhood. Both are mystery/thrillers, great acting too. Both involve (slight) police bromance. Good OSTs, too!

Both are highly recommended.

Japanese is the original n Korean is the remake.

Korean Remake has an EXTRA plot of Mita/Bok's stalker.
And there are some differences in few other characters too like aunt character, grandpa character and agency's boss character
SO BOTH VERSIONS CAN BE WATCHED N ENJOYED.

(KD director n screenwriter took their own sweet time of 9 extra hours to add these EXTRA contents, so pls do watch it too, haha )

-White Olive Tree has war, Just Between Lovers is about an accident
-Leads in Olive Tree meet as adults, and in JBL they meet as teens

What made me think of King the Land while I was watching Love Me, Love my Voice was first of all the male leads and the PDA scenes/chemistry.
Second, it was the very obvious promotional trips, LOL.
What is different is that LMLMV is void of intrigues and scheming characters, something KTL is not.
But they are both sweet love stories.
