Both are miserable dramas and both leads suffer and they're really heart breaking and both of them might be sad ending

Similarities:

1. Leads with a special power that gives them insight into other people.
2. A main part of both plots is finding out the truth behind a past crime.
3. Tough, cynical FL and a soft, gentle ML where FL stands up for and protects ML.
4. Lots of cute domestic slice of life moments, IHVY is cohabitation and MLL is neighbors.
5. Emphasis on the importance on truth and lies in relationships.

The story in IHYV is a more melo, faster paced plot with higher stakes, but it's a sweet romance about the transformative power of truly loving and always supporting someone. MLL is cute but it's much slower in pace and the story falls apart in the second half, you have to hang in there for the romance.

In the second couple, the character Gimbo reminds of Yechan from Love Tractor. He is a shy, sweet, and socially out-of-touch farmer who’s innocence and happy atmosphere charms his love interest.

In both of these BL dramas, two friends become lovers and then strangers. Many years later, they reunite - but the sudden distant temperament of one of them causes confusion in the other, as well as the avoidance of topics surrounding the past.

Same "loser" MC with a girl with special powers that just shows up out of nowhere and rocks his world i suppose. The themes in both shows are quite similar even though Youkai GF is more action heavy. Similar shows, try the other if you seen the latter

• The female leads in both are well established personalities in their respective industries.
• The male leads are introduced as interns at the FMCs workplaces.
• Age gap couple - Older Woman × Younger Man
• Man chases woman first. MCs in both series give the 'golden retriever' - extremely devoted to their love interests.

• ML in IIMH can see the past, while the lead in IHYV can read other people's thoughts.
• MLs have had a life-altering encounter with the FMCs in the past.
• The FMCs are strong, independent women who are great at what they do.
• The couples in both series work together to overcome their adversities.

Both feature villainous organizations where the higher ups constantly argue and one up eachother. In RX they do sever a leader while in jetman they are all trying to become the top dog

While RX is a lighter show it is still the direct sequel to black so if you want to see the next part of the story for our Kamen rider watch RX

Both have a darker overall plot but are very episodic with a lot of the episode plots being silly one offs. Lupat is sillier while black has a darker ending

Both have representatives from each previous Swanson come together and show the audience a bunch of clips

Similar dynamic in both shows were the ML is human and the FL is a supernatural creature. Initially, both ML encounter the FL by breaking a curse / awakening them from another realm. If you like one, try the other.
