Stealer has some serious Iljimae vibes. Stealer is set in the modern day, and MC isnt quite doing what they do to protect people, but to protect cultural heritage from the ultra wealthy.

Both have a hidden identity that they use to perform their feats
Both have a public identity that is viewed by others as a failure, delinquent, or otherwise undesirable.

Im telling you, if you liked iljimae for the all around feeling of iljimae, you'll probably like Stealer

I can see you lot, shaking your heads in disbelief: What? A BL and a K drama?!?
Oh yes!!! Both have mothers from Hell and are about sexual harassment at work. The main couples have incredible chemistry and so many steamy hot scenes(as much as it is possible on Korean main channel tv!). And they are so madly in love....

both involve ghosts who fall in love with women and both have some tragedy but are mostly heartwarming

both pictures take place in university, have a main character who wants to work in the film industry, focus on a bittersweet friends to lovers story & have a jaded but sassy voiceover. they both have extremely similar vibes in my opinion.

Both movies have the same premise - private investigator gets hired to spy on ML and his... endeavours and gets involved with him

both are set in the chinese republican era (gorgeous colours and sets :)) and both have amazing chemistry between the leads
