While different in tone, both have a group of people dealing with zombies who are manageable and not an all out apocalypse like most stories.

Just as simple as the dad has a lover… the circle is cute and the fact that both are adapted from novel and has varieties of book there also its similarities i guess

Both of these dramas revolve around a couple getting into an accident. Afterwards, one of them is sent into the past and tries to stay away from their loved one in order to prevent the accident from happening.

The Sadness and Happiness are both centered around a zombie outbreak and having to survive. Both are action/thriller.
In both, the female lead is immune to the infectious zombie disease and both females make it out alive.
The Sadness is a Taiwanese movie while Happiness is a South Korean drama.

Note: isn't it funny how one is called sad and the other is called happy lol :) btw Happiness does have a good ending while the ending in The Sadness is left open ended.

TRIGGER WARNING: trigger warning for rape in The Sadness as the zombies there can't resist the urge to rape and murder (brutal and lots of gore). Happiness is a little better in the sense that it has romance even tho its slow burn.

Both are zombie apocalypse thriller/horror with disease outbreak and a life or death situation.
Both are movies.
#Alive is korean and The Sadness is Taiwanese.

Both MLs are deadly powerful beings but must obey the FL's commands as they are bounded by a spell related to their past life.

3. the female lead is rude at first and then becomes nice because of the male lead

DON'T MISS THEM

Follows the highs and lows of careers in the literary/entertainment world and overcoming difficulties to achieve good outcomes.

While Happy Ending Romance (HER) follows the literary world, Lovely Writer focuses more on the entertainment world. They both highlight (to different degrees) the happenings behind the glittery facade of their worlds. They both have jealousy, hypocrisy, friendship and faithfulness. LW is a bit faster paced, lots of flashbacks (they have the time) while HER makes steady progress forward.

While one is fantasy and the other not, both are about the relationships between people and their pets.

In both, MLs are shapeshifting cat/humans who were saved in cat form by the human FL and then meet her again, having falling in love with her.

In both, one of the leads shifts between a human and a cat, and the other lead is human.
