It's a historical drama with romance, comedy. No complexion of love, war, hatred or too emotional which could push ones to their limit to leave the earth. Ones could say that lead focus on characters' development and getting support from other characters to reach the main goals. While trying to get main lead to be together, they also brought a lot of comedy scene(chocolate scenes) . I'd stop spoil right here and you must give it a try and guarantee you get the best out of it.
P.s. It will work for common people.

Both take a deep look at parenthood and have a dark theme. While not similar in storylines, the themes and genres are similar

Both are about Ramen. The ingredient, the secret recipe. The authentic preparation. The heart and soul put into it. It makes you want to go have a big bowl of Ramen right away

- The first 10 episodes of LU follows almost the exact same storyline as the whole plot of PL.
- FL in LU time travels from 2024 to 2012 and in PL she travels from 2020 to 2010
- She meets the ML in the past and they fall in love.
- The FL is older than the ML (at least in the past she travels to) and she is also mature and successful in her field. She is not in the least bit annoying.
- FL meets her younger self and they become really close (good friends).
- The FL is not able to stay in the past with the ML and has to go back to her own timeline.
- In both dramas the ML remembers the FL from 2012 and 2010 and waits 12 years in LU and 10 years in PL to meet her again.

Big difference in LU from PL:
- LU storyline focuses both on 2024 and 2012 whilst PL only focuses on 2010. In PL we get to see the leads meeting in the present and falling in love again whilst in PL we only see the present day briefly (a few minutes) where the leads meet again.
- There is also a villain in LU (whose plot. doesn't really make sense) whilst in PL there are no bad guys.

Boths have the concept of grim reapers .
Here female lead is given for a second chance to change her life after a car accident that leaves her in a coma but with a condition , she have to collect 3 pure drop of tears others than her family members.
Its such a unique drama which give me rollercoaster ride from begining to end.

Haw can you watch the second if not watch the first?
Hopefully it will be just as good as the first one or maybe even better than I am expecting!

Even though the protagonists are of completely different ages, in both dramas, the male protagonists want to continue to stand next to their love suffering from a degenerative disease.

Dramas are similar when a male figure suffers from a heart disease.

in Greatest love the lead has an artificial heart that causes him problems and makes him think he's in love

Even though both the movies have a different set of audiences and plot not being the same the two movie have a very similar feel to it. Both movies have the male lead helping out the female lead and in both of them the female characters are similar too.

Gosh my tears seems keep flowing when I watched this movie. Really a sad touching love story & how FL fight her disease with ML support beside her & people who love FL. Fujiki Naohito potrayed as a doctor here soooo charming. I like this movie a lot & really a must watch worth watching movie. Based on a true story.
