It gave me the same slice-of-life vibe.
You just see the normal life of normal people, who mostly goes through existencial problem, and somehow begin to go over them because they've been helped by their friends.

It's arround the drama/documentary/filming life too.

Both shows are slow-paced, and it doesn't feel rushed or anything. It just... takes the right amount of times.

Both shows have the capacity to make me cry just by seeing one of the characters on the screen

They're are both coming to age dramas that make each character special and plus the comic feels. Totally fun to watch.

1. Both RLSR and Love O2O have ML who manipulates circumstances to woo the FL.
In RLSR, the ML first manipulates the FL because of material gain but later he falls in love with her, so he manipulates her into staying with him.
In Love O2O the ML marries the FL in-game after meeting her in RL once. He later manipulates her into meeting him after using the video they made together as an excuse.
2. Both RLSR and Love O2O have ML who only loves the FL. No matter what happens, they only want the FL.
3. Both RLSR and Love O2O have ML who chases the FL first.
The difference is that while Love O2O has a fluffy kind of romance, RLSR has a more turbulent romance. For half the drama the ML just uses the FL to get his money back but it's only after the FL decides to leave him that he realizes that she was more important to him.
While in Love O2O the ML always wanted the FL for himself. So he just did everything to protect her. (The book showed it as a gradual romance but the drama had a besotted hero from start)

*RLSR can have a trigger for some since in this the ML kidnaps the FL and there is forced seduction.

A personal Observation: While both Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei wear white showing the innocent kind of Romance in Love O2O, Kong Pope wears a black shirt showing he was the devil. I just found this kind of symbol quite significant.

If you want to see something similar or exact same as Shining For One Thing then Blue Birthday is definetly for you. However i must warn you if you are up for a superb acting then this drama might not be for you since there are rookie actors in the cast. Personally for me, for a mini drama I think everyone acting was still better than some of the mini drama I have seen. Another thing might be since it's a mini drama the plots are not that exploits but it's definelty a worthy drama to binge if you are craving for a similar drama.

It is somewhat about searching for origin. Searching for real/biological parent(s). The child that grew up with the adopted family, ….

Ramen shop is also about a young man went to the country that he was born to find the origin. Although Ramen Shop is more light watch, not as serious. They are somewhat similar

Move to heaven has an episode about kid born and raised in different country. Trying to find his birth mom and root

Originally was supposed to be a sequel to Thong Ek but storyline changed still basic elements about Mor Luang is still similar to Thong EK such as leads cast, herbal, and historical time period.

well the thrill, drama, crime is similar.
In both, dramas the female leads try to find the truth. Also, both the male leads suffer equally due to similar reasons such as destroying the FL's life.

"Meet my Angel Season 2" isn't your typical shigh school or collehe BL series. It is the story of Damen (Kaleb Ong) and Angelo (Enzo Santiago), two guardian angels who fall in love, and who are taking care of their respective ex-lovers. All the actors, among them Rex Lantano, Gio Emprese, and Miggy Campbell, are brilliant in this unique BL series, and the OST is good as in most Pinoy series.

Like "Something in my Room", "Meet my Angel Season 2" had a unique storyline. Damon (Kaleb Ong) and Angelo (Enzo Santiago), who have fallen in love, are guardian angels of their respective ex-lovers. The performances of all actors, inclucing Gio Emprese, Rex Lantano, and Miggy Campbell, are brilliant, and although the sound has some flaws, the OST is as beautiful as in most Pinoy BL series.
