For me, one of the most noticeable things about I Don't Want To Be Friends With You was that the backdrop wasn't the usual Beijing/Shanghai etc but the cold Northeastern China; Harbin. It was really refreshing.
And Vacay 2 is also set on Harbin, which instantly intrigued me.
If you are a fan of this kind of silly little details like me and looking for a change in the usual backdrops of Cdramas, these two dramas are good choices! ? (well there are other reasons too, they both are very good dramas, backdrop or not, lol)

Both have a very similar feel to them. In train the ml travels to an alternate dimension in order to solve a serial murder case. And in Kairos the ml gets in contact with a woman from the past in order to save his kidnapped daughter. Though the storylines are different, they both use fantastical elements to solve a crime.

They are both from manga, and both are Korean bl. Roman, Youth, Drama, bl.

In both dramas, the two leads are enemies until they aren't :). Both involve a murder mystery, action and lgbtq+ romances. Main leads have similar jobs (one in crime, the other working for the justice system). On top of this, both dramas' storylines revolve around very serious themes.

Both couples have great chemistry + similar vibes of dealing with one’s feelings of attraction towards one another.

Both are independent movies with metaphor-ridden, surrealist plot lines. Albeit in different ways, both stories showcase a wide range of social issues in modern-day society, packaged in unique and occasionally quirky symbolism.

They both share a similar plot where the ml starts working for the police, in anti fraud learlgue, he is blackmailed as he is caught doing bad things and although they both start off on the wrong note, they develop their relationship

there both like mystery, and a very interesting plot but somehow they have a similar vibe. As well for that, they both have like not a connection in the movies but a connection with the characters their not the same and they both have the craziest plot twist.

Both dramas stars Lee Hyeri as the female lead. Both Jian and Roseo lost their fathers when they were younger due to some secret that led to their fathers being killed. Both of Jian and Roseo's love interest were cops; Dongtak is a detective in the violent crimes unit while Young is an inspector in Saheonbu. Both Dongtak and Young were indirectly responsible to the death of Jian and Roseo's father. In both stories, our main pair end up working together to unravel the truth at the risk of their own lives.

I feel that both were like unrequited love, they got together and then attracted to each other. And it's about getting know each other, learn about each other and about growing pains.
