Both are historical and deal with children and their struggling fathers! Ecchan takes.place in 1935 whereas Always 3 takes place during the very first 1964 Tokyo Olympics!

Both are historical comedy dramas that deal with struggling artists and their children! Ecchan aka Etchan takes place in 1935 whose father is a struggling song writer who had one hit years ago! whereas in always in 1958, the father is a struggling novelist who almost won a literary award as a teen. The only difference is Ecchan is also a musical tv show and Always has the very first CGI Godzilla destroying their neighborhood and the newly built Tokyo tower in the beginning of the.film which was just awesome!

Whilst "Happiness" is primarily an apocalypse-themed drama it has a lot of similarities to "Strangers from Hell", especially in the latter half of the show where we start to see the true colours of the other residents in the building the two leads are trapped in. Both dramas have dark, mystery elements and engaging action scenes and you're never quite sure who to trust...

Both show the journey from high school to adulthood. "Lovely Us" is shorter than "Our Secret" with 16 episodes instead of 24. Both shows emphasise the importance of friends, family, and youth.

"Lovely Us" is based in a sort of older setting compared to "Our Secret" which is more modern.

It's unusual to compare a short movie of an hour with a drama of 7 episodes, but despite the fact that the format is different both dramas are pouring of sweetness . Although the situation and scenery is different, the story is alike.

Nevertheless the actors and characters are totally different, so there might be some interesting plot twists and surprising moments in watching that. If you like this movie, you have to watch Shanai Marriage Honey.
