Both are serious jdoramas with darker undertones. The plots aren't that similar but family relations do play a big part in both. Well, both are good jdoramas that I recommend if you liked either of these.

Both dramas have fantasy, supernatural elements brought into current day life and society, with multiple stories and characters that seek to recreate the warmth and closeness of a family.
Mystic Pop-Up Bar has a more positive tone overall, with more action scenes and comedy.

The main characters are both ex-convict and ex-yakuza who just wants to have a normal life after their long conviction. It shows their hopeful moments and struggles in the new society.

Both are set in an apocalyptic world and have great characters with emotional energy between them. A lot of interesting alliances and relationships formed in the face of terror.

Both of them present the same old woman as the protagonist and they face problems in the old age of their lives. Both of them are strong women, who still take care of many things even though they are old. The atmosphere of both is very dark, 'an old lady' is about rape, and 'red amnesia' is about terror.

The master-student relationship storyline in Pearl Eclipse reminds me of Si Yin and Mo Yuan in Eternal Love. But EL was tragic....I really hope this isn't.
