It's not the main theme, but in both films there is a warden who hates and is sadistic towards a particular inmate.
- They're both intoxicatingly cute. Disgustingly cute.
- The MLs are popular within their communities. They are also very hot, yes, that. THAT. Hot doctor and hot professor. I dunno man... kinda hard to choose.
- Loyal to their partners. No true "break up" (iirc).
- Both are dramas not to think too hard about. Just enjoy. You'll get a somewhat decent experience.
- FLs are different though. One is naive and falls for things. The other is... well, not. You'll know.

I see L as a sort of younger version of Lee Seung Gi, (from the time when he was doing comedy and not thrillers.) I think they have the same type of comedic acting. the story is similar - a deity who does not follow the rules and is a bit of a troublemaker falls in love with a human.
-both feature L
-in one he is an angel and in the other he is a cat (Sergei) / human
-he hides his identity from his human love in both

Both dramas have Hyun Bin as a lead who plays a north korean who is in the military and comes to south korea for a mission. During his partners up with a south korean detective and lives with his family.
The concept is very similar but Crash Landing is the romantic/humor version whereas Confidential Assignment is full with action and has nearly zero romance.

You get a similar concept of royalty and a sort of "body-swapping" theme because the male main lead has to dress as a woman to complete a "mission." It a great show. Comedy is balanced by romance and character development. It's not cliche and very educative of Korean monarchy and general history.
The Divine Fury is a movie, however both deal with demons and exorcisms. Both films have a priest that experiments with exorcisms, and 3 main leads with good chemistry and good acting. Both films also explores the dark side.
- Both deal with supernatural elements
- Strong chemistry between the main leads (friendship)
- Mysterious and dark

The roles are kind of swapped. In moon lovers, the ML is the exiled prince who everyone looks down on while in princess wei young, the FL pretends to be the illegitimate "jinxed" daughter of a powerful minister.
- Both the ML in moon lovers and the FL in wei young are pushed down by their families and slowly gain favor with the emperor
- Both show a fight for the throne and political plotting, but moon lovers is a little more intense
- Both are tragedies ;-;
Chemistry was a little better in moon lovers imo (although the princess weiyoung relationship is definitely healthier from the eps I've watched), but the FL in princess wei young was super smart and independent which I loved.

Pornographer - Spring Life tells a story about Kijima and Kuzumi 2.5 years after their encounter in Pornographer.
Another BL for those looking for a romance that includes gay characters not made for straight women. Shares similar comedy-aspects definitely a good watch if you like GSP :)
Similar story line, ML hates FL's father because of similar reasons.

Both are rather short korean stories about love stories between two men where one of them is a dancer. They are also productions of lgbt focused production companies.
Female lead who is pretty and popular at school but bears a secret about her appearance when at home.
Male lead who is very handsome and does not talk a lot but also hides a secret or a dark past within him.
Both dramas are funny. :D
