They are both dramatic, twisted stories about unhealthy love and sweets. Souta, the hero of Shitsuren Chocolatier, is burdened with a one-sided love for Saeko that he becomes a patissier just to impress her. But this isn't your classic love story - this is a story of the dangers of idolisation, of obsession and facades and desperation for connection. Tsubaki and Nao are unhealthy for different reasons, of course, but the shows feel like a natural pair.

Both teams have a rescue brigade motif

Both are toku series that are composed of a team of 5. members. They are part of a franchise that tends to have a 6 member but neither season did that.

An easy to digest drama that features similar themes, such as gender equality or sex education. Characters are young adults, enrolled in university or working.

Third webdrama from the series, focused on a group of friends and their personal issues. Tad bit more mature and darker.

It just that the story, the set-up, and even the bromance reminds me of each other, just that if you want something short and full blown bromance then go watch Till Death Tear Us Apart..

Both are time travel, family dramas. In both the older version of the ML meets the younger version of his parent/parents. I myself liked TNF more.

The two main comedians Hamada and Matsumoto started their tv careers on Gaki no Tsukai before starting Downtown no Gottsu Ee Kanji.
Many people from Downtown no Gottsu Ee Kanji make appearances on Gaki no Tsukai.
Expect to see much of the funny comedy style and crazy stunts in Gaki no Tsukai.

The harmony of action and romance in both of the dramas are great! Although I want to say that while CLOY is on more on the romance side, Vagabond is more on the action. The chemistry between the actors is better in CLOY and the story is focused on their relationship. In Vagabond the romance stays in the background but the action scenes are too good and definietly worth watching. Also the male leads in both of the dramas turns into unstoppable warriors when it comes to protect what they care about. And female leads are strong in their own way too. Both of the drama gives power couple vibes which I personelly loved.
