The story or rather the history begun from Chu Empire, and this Legend of MiYue foretold way long before the down fall of Chu & Zhao empire's fate. When view this Legend of Hao Lan's story, it was sometime near the down fall of Zhao empire as Qin empire send up a fierce and decisive general Bai Qi to lead the Qin troops attack Zhao empire's military hub and “vaporized” Zhao's 45,000 troops. And if you have watched previously this Legend of MiYue, from Chu empire MiYue was just an accompanying bridesmaid and her story rose her up to became Qin's empire's most powerful empress dowager. Also in Legend of MiYue, the story also foretold how Bai Qi was subject his countivation by MiYue and later became one of the most fierce general in Qin's military troop and also was MiYue's adopted brother. Some how, I felt these 2 stories or rather historical events are all a string related. It's like watching part 1 then continue to part 2.

Both dramas are dealing with crime cases and in both dramas we have an investigation duo where on of them has got a heart transplant that is connected to the people and the story.

Based on similar themes, both dramas tackle the issues of academic pressure, messed up and complicated lives of adults.
A commentary on the real issues that students face in this fast-paced society and the pressure that the children face due to tough competitions. Both the dramas have similar tones to them and have an ensemble cast that portrays their characters really well.

Both dramas are about forbidden love between a teacher and a student in a pre-university setting and explore similar themes.

Both are sweet stories of early love and how it stays with people even as they grow older. They are both real and raw.

The slowness of love is evident in both and is told in slow stories that are both real. They are both great human stories of love.

The directing is similar, with great lighting that creates similar tones. They both have characters that seem truly real.
