Both ML's are extremely cold towards the FL's and they are both very academically intelligent but not emotionally intelligent. Both FL's are the opposite of the ML's - cheerful and not very bright academically. But the FL's are very persistent and determined. Also most episodes of both shows are set in high school but they also show the characters in their college eras too.
