Waste of both leads acting skill

I watched this since i like both of leads but ended up didn't get any satisfaction of this drama. The plot was quite angst but there is no angst at all if you see masochism, it feels so half-baked.

The plot is somewhat weak. Besides the excellent acting of i Shengjie and Zhang Jinyi, nothing could be offer from this drama. FL doesn't recognize ML just because he's wearing a half-mask? That's a bit exaggerated. The scene where the ML's identity is almost dragged for long time. that's short drama for you.

The chemistry between Zhang Jinyi and Li Shengjie are quite weak compared to their other respective main leads. Even though the kisses scene was quite intense but it lack tension.

Only for hardcore fans.

Great drama!

Tis was a great drama, i watched it in one go. The story is great. It's about a loner who decides to want friends and joins the student counsil. He falls in love with the good guy who helps everybody, but later on realizes that there's someone elso who really wants to know he is ok and really has his back no matter what.

The visuals and music are good.
The acting is great and the main had great dynamics and chemistry with both guys.
I loved the role of Namgung Si Un, the great friend with the good advice and lightens up the room.

This is a must watch!

Pavane

I love how real & raw this story is. It’s not perfect. No Sunshine/rainbows, crazy sparks, 2 hot leads, girl gets makeover, happy ending... Something SO unrealistic. Is it kind of boring? Maybe. But that’s what makes it charming, IMO. I was captivated by how not over the top romantic it was. This just hit different. & I hope it gets the recognition it deserves. It’s definitely not what I thought it would be. I’m not gonna lie. but I was pleasantly surprised. Even if I feel duped & my heart hurts. 😅😭

Lack of chemistry

I watched this because Wang Kaimu but i don't enjoy this drama like other people do.

Actually plot is too disjointed, the pacing is fragmented, and there's too much focus on the romance between the ML and FL. ML's undercover work and FL's domestic power struggles are barely shown, resulting in an overall monotonous and dull experience. Wang Kaimu and Ye Xinxin are gorgeous people but they still lack of chemistry and tension. Ye Xinxin s acting is somewhat weak despite having strong face feature. And yeah it was boring drama.

There's really no need for watching it twice or three times; once is enough. Absolutely not my cup of tea.

Great Mystery, But Something is Missing.

Yes, it has a good storyline. A good mixture between thriller, mystery, romance, and comedy. The comedy amount is quite small, but everything is on point. The way they picture In Seong's mind so wild and unrealistic is really hilarious and fresh. Now, let's talk about the main course: the mystery. The idea itself is quite fresh and appealing. A CEO who became unconscious while his body trapped inside the phone, using was using another person to save his life. Earlier build up phase was fun. However as the story progressing, I couldn't find any sparks and it became dull. It's missing something punching on the point, especially because the clues keep dropping in the lap.

While everyone was suspicious after In Seong sudden appointment as CEO, no one really suspicious when he was digging for the truth, at least until he striked it to their face all by himself. Mi Ran, on the other hand, got a sudden power of controlling the media, only to be controlled out again later on. It was shocking too that the all-knowing-trapped Kim Seon Ju didn't even anticipate this. Things like this made their actions seem reckless, and the results of it were all just pure luck.

It was weird that Seon Ju put suspicion on Se Yeon, but never on his house butlers. They never put any safety measures on their own families, despite knowing the potential threat. Se Yeon mother stayed in a VIP room. It was very obvious she wouldn't be able to afford such room, but no one put any suspicion. The backstory of Jang Ju Seong was very shallow. We only know he was unfairly treated as an athlete, but it ended there.

Chae Jong Hyeop did excellently here. He almost carried out the whole show. Lee Sang Hee looked like a total psycho. Also the soundtracks were amazing.

Does this show deserve better recognition? Yes. Does this show considered a hidden gem? I wouldn't say so. It still missing something to make you want to binge-wathing it.

It's good but kinda incomplete. The comments are just pure hate

Unlike the comments the story was actually about parallel worlds. I literally thought the whole parallel world was just Cir's imagination thanks to the comments. Cir is definitely a green flag his only flaw is that he's a coward. He was not manipulative or anything he just told 1 lie to get close to Phu and could never confess the truth dispite multiple chances. Also i don't think Cir didn't pay for his mistake. He did when Phu left him twice for the same reason. For Cir who has loved phu for 5 years that's his greatest punishment.

The only person who was not punished would be Cir's mom. I felt that and a happy ending for his brother was needed to make the drama complete.

I really loved the 2nd couple a lot but the random introduction of mind reading capability was a little abrupt and unclear like they hinted Cir had the capability which then was not bought up as the story progressed.

Also i have a couple of questions that were left unanwered in the drama.
1st why is the Cir from 1 time line responsible to guide Cir from the 2nd timeline. Did they get a sad ending in one of the timelines so theyre doing this?

What does he mean when he says Phu always survives? But in one of the world one of them actually dies (in the flashback)

Why and where did this loop even start? Why is it Cir and not Phu?

How did jin get his mind reading ability?

Also why is black cir in the time room? Cir does occasionally go into Black Cir's world which he mentioned but then why is black cir never shown in his own world instead only in ghe white room?

I think the drama needed more context behind scenes. But the story was pretty interesting it can confuse u if u dont spoil yourself that cir lied about being from the parallel world. I spoiled myself so i thoroughly enjoyed it. It kept me engaged and was interesting to watch although u get clarity on the plot in ep 7 and 8.

This is absolutely beyond my expectation. It's fabulous!

Are you kidding me? I recognize the FL, and already thought, here we go again with her flat expression,
But, oh my. I was pleasantly surprised. She is absolutely fabulous, great, and very good in this one!
The story is not at all like any others, it's original. Kudos to the writers and scriptwriter. They kept it fast, effective, and no slacking at all. The amount of fighting scenes was enough and they are quite descent.
Their wardrobe style, make up and scenes were also good, even better considering it is a short drama.
The ML has flat expression all the way, but it suits to his role and character.

I really am blown away this one for sure. I love it!!! love it, love it, love it....

What in the confusion did I just watch?

I must be an uncultured swine for not getting this drama at all. It was confusing from start to finish.
It felt like the author had the bones of a good stepbrothers story, but just didn’t finish one thought right to the end! With only five episodes, and flashbacks happening randomly, to the point I couldn’t tell what was flashback or present, there was no hints at romantic feelings from either lead – none at all – until the end of ep 4. And by then, it felt really weird to introduce.
We had one bad attitude character, and one burdened with other people’s problems character. And they both remained this way throughout all 5 eps.
So, the out-of-nowhere kiss from bad attitude to burdened felt like bad attitude just wanted burdened to take care of him, and kissing him was the way to get him to do that.

Was that the end?
The best part was the couple of bloopers they showed the leads actually laughing. The only laughter we got the entire time!
A very dreary, though realistic show, that just wasn’t for my tastes.
My review is for plot only – I found the acting to be really well done.

It had a lot of potential but missed the mark several times.

I’ve found Korean BLs are either exceptionally wonderful or they just fall flat as pancakes.
Sadly, Heart Stain, for me, fell into the latter.
It had so much potential, the basis of a good storyline was there, but it just never had enough room to grow with so few episodes (please, for the love of the baby jesus’ roller-skates, give K-Bls more episodes, begging on my knees!)

And if there was any romantic spark between the main actors, I completely missed it. I hate time jumps too, especially when nothing seems different.
I’ll end on a good note, and say it wasn’t a terrible watch, it had some cute moments (not talking about you, creepy vibes teacher!) and I liked the friend group.

For me, a masterpiece ♡(´・ω・)(・ω・`)♡

Sequel to "I Told the Sunset About You." It's rare to have a second season as intense as the first, but that's the case here.

PLOT: Now settled in Bangkok for their studies, Teh and Oh are gradually drifting apart. Each follows their own path, makes new friends, tries to move forward... which inevitably creates tension and crises (especially when toxic characters enter the picture).

+++ The two actors, Billkin and "PP" Krit, are fantastic (body language, posture, micro-expressions, glances, tears) (´ ▽`).。o♡ Everything is charged with emotion! Kudos.
+++ The story is well-written, intelligent, realistic, with consistent character development.
+++ The direction is perfect, nothing to criticize.
+++ Excellent OSTs, particularly those sung by Billkin.

=> A (double) series that deeply moved me. I'm going to find it hard to leave these characters, whom I will certainly return to see from time to time.

Sequel de "I told the sunset about you".

This BL is Toxic and That's the Point

The plot of Burnout Syndrome is incredibly unique and refreshing. The first episode, where Jira struggles to find a job, really hit me hard. Although he is quite selective when it comes to work, it’s understandable—there are people who choose passion over jobs that don’t align with who they are or don’t allow them to express themselves. Jira is a perfect example of this, as he is deeply passionate about his art.

The series is also very brave because it portrays the complexities of relationships and how people can become confused at times. We’re not perfect, and the love triangle between Jira, Koh, and Pheem reflects that reality. Unlike many BL series that sugarcoat stories and show almost perfect relationships, Burnout Syndrome doesn’t shy away from the messy and uncomfortable parts.

If you’re not into toxic storylines or shows that involve a third party, this might not be your cup of tea. The storyline is undeniably toxic—and when I say toxic, I mean all the main characters are toxic. Jira keeps entertaining Pheem, gives him false hope, and even lies. Pheem is obsessed with Jira, while Koh is overly dependent on him and fails to understand how important Jira’s passion for art truly is.

The ending isn’t my cup of tea either—not because it’s bad, but because I actually didn’t want a happy ending. I wanted them all to separate, just to break away from the usual happy-ending formula. It would’ve been refreshing, honestly. 😅

As for the acting, everyone did an excellent job. We all know Gun is a versatile and outstanding actor, but I was also impressed by Dew. His acting felt very natural and effortless. This series feels like a piece of art—well executed, with strong direction and beautiful cinematography.

If you’re into toxic, realistic, and emotionally messy shows, you might actually enjoy this one.

There’s no doubt KinnPorsche is compelling viewing.

I keep a list of every Asian drama I watch and I like to make little notes, to remember how I vibed with a show.
Here are the notes I took down for KinnPorsche:

Good production and acting from the main cast.
Hot believable kisses and NCs.
Porsche is sexy af.
Didn’t like them being with other people yet thinking of each other.
The dead fish and watching porn scenes with Tankhurn was hilarious!
The handcuffed together was the best episode.
Standout characters for me were Porsche – adorable Porchay – Tankhurn (he made the show for me! Not as crazy as he was made out to be, always had the feel for what was wrong with people)

I dug how this mafia family was split, like, into a higher and lower part, and they were kinda on the same team but also rivals. The concept of the higher family training a school of bodyguards within the mansion walls was novel to me, immediately capturing my interest.

While I felt some plots went total left field ( looking at you, Vegas, you crazy mofo. Still don’t know how Pete can fall for him after having his nuts electrocuted) the overall show was enjoyable, with layered secrets that brought about the climax of the show. It was all beautifully shot ( the hot tub scene… wowza! )

Let's get our priorities straight

I know I probably shouldn't write a review when only half of the series is out, but this is too frustrating.

The story revolves around two in-laws who came together to raise a baby after an unfortunate accident, or so I thought (and hoped).

I don't normally start with the bad aspects of drama, but this can not be ignored.

The plot relies way too heavily on the love triangle, and it's taking up so much screen time that it's starting to get annoying. I'm not a love triangle hater. I enjoyed series such as "Lovely Runner", "True Beauty" or "Can This Love Be Translated?" — these are some popular examples — but this one is way over-the-top.

The SML affection towards the FL makes no sense. Literally no contact for 7 years, but he somehow still loves her? Make that make sense. They weren't even dating, there was literally no time for his yearning to grow to this degree. And what's with the sudden ownership over the FL in ep 6? "OUR Hyunjin"?! What gives him the right?

The FL isn't completely innocent either. She could've set the record straight from the start and not lead him on. It's true that she had no interest in the ML in the beginning, but at least when she realised something was going on, she could've stopped giving the SML so much attention and giving him hope.

Moving on from the bad aspects, there is a good side to this drama as well. The story in nothing really out of the ordinary, but the actors really deliver it. I do get some second-hand embarrassment sometimes — and I can feel the awkwardness through the screen — but it's enjoyable.

The main leads' backstories are both tragic in one way or another. In the end they're two broken people coming together to raise a child in a manner which they didn't get to experience. I'm not going to go into to much detail.

The cinematography and OSTs are also good. I didn't pay much attention to the music, but it fits the overall vibe of the drama.

In the end, if you enjoy love triangles, or a cosy story with small hiccups along the way, its a good kdrama.

Not Glorious Enough!

A plot with a matriarchal set up where every family member is cunning and scheming against each other,Hou Minghao as the male lead as an imperial magistrate who is amnesiac, saved by the female lead..... sounds really interesting.

Well...it was interesting as it began. Introduction of the characters, the world building,Rong family and their heritage, the inner conflicts among the sisters,Rong Shanbao and her commanding personality, Lu Jianglai and his ruthless aura...everything was mesmerizing.

But the problem began soon, where the story started to fall apart in the midway and started to feel like some scattered pieces of story glued together only to show how great Rong family is when the actual problem lies within themselves.

Rong Shanbao,as the female lead and the next main lady of Rong family after her grandma is someone who is extremely cunning, smart, who has dealt with the family tea business since she was 13. She is a powerful woman with impaccable aura. But the problem is,her power comes from her extremely cold personality, her cunning emotionless manipulative mind. She is not some saint, she also schemes behind others back. But when Lu Jianglai came to her life and their relationship began, thats where the problem started. Her continuous toying around with him, never confessing her love when he already did multiple times, never communicating her thoughts or plans with him......everything made the relationship extremely frustrating. She used him whenever she wanted (and ofcourse he let her), and the next scene she is acting like he's a nobody in her life.... This thing was constant the whole drama. Its a matriarchal set up so the power dynamics is reversed.....but whenever Lu Jianglai stood up for himself and told her hypocrisy on her face, either a kiss or slap on the cheek was her answer to everything. She never put him as her priority, never. Its always either her work or her family or something else. Her cold demeanour with expressionless face and never warming up with Lu Jianglai was'nt helping at all. Idk if it was the script or the actress, she didn’t had to do much in terms of expression cause she only had two or three expressions the whole time.

Hou Minghao didn’t disappoint as always.Lu Jianglai started real good as a fearless ruthless imperial magistrate.... And as Lu Fusheng,he was also good. But the way all that aura and everything was gone in later episodes was really something. He just remained as a lovesick puppy, only asking for Rong Shanbao's love in every situation, helping her, saving her...when Rong Shanbao just kept using him or planning without any sort of communication with him. Their relationship felt dull...sometimes forced with no destination. Even when the dynamics are reversed, there should be a balance, this drama fell short in this aspect.

Storywise...it was good at the beginning. Sisters are sworn enemies, all scheming, plotting but failing in front of Shanbao was enjoyable. Later they all got their deserved ending, some learned their lessons and some found love. It was good to see.

But the real headache was the Grandma. God knows how such selfish and dumb woman was the head of such so called great family. She just kept blabbering about their heritage, pride and whatnot but never tried to understand her grand daughters, not a single one. Shanbao,Yunxi,Yunin,Yunshu.......all were heavily misunderstood, misguided by her prejudiced mind and were led to take wrong steps. And she had no remorse of it,its always others fault, not her. The way she didn’t even take a second to dethrone Shanbao just because she didn’t agree with her and immediately took Yunshu as her next favourite really mademe question her sanity. Its surprising how and why Rong family members still kept obeying her. No wonder Shanbao turned out to be a ice queen in terms of emotions.

Overall....it was nice to watch something different, women with real power. The costumes were gorgeous,so was the set. The scenerios with the tea garden on the hills were really eye pleasing. Its just the storytelling became frustrating at some point, seemed like they didn’t know where to land it.
