I'm not sure why everyone is hating on this drama! Overall, this show was cute, entertaining, made me laugh out loud and made me cry.

First of all, I can see what people are saying about Mary. She gets annoying. But, I think she was a good fit. I wish her abilities and talents were highlighted a bit more. Maybe she wouldn't come off as useless and ignorant in some parts. I'm not sure. And don't even get me started on her dad. Most annoying character ever!

With Kim Jae Wook's character, I was a little confused through most of the show because I never fully grasped his intentions with Mary. Either he wasn't good at expressing emotion and motive as an actor, or it was poor directing.

Jang Keun Suk's character was beautiful. This role was a great fit for him and played it excellently. There were even times he would be in the background, still in character doing something weird. Mu Gyul is full of passion, indifference, love and disgust. There were, however, parts where I felt his character changed suddenly, and other parts where I thought he didn't change enough. It was kind of awesome watching Mu Gyul and Jung In towards the end of the show.

The soundtrack is killer! Mostly due to Jang's musical talent. Go and get it even if you don't watch the drama. So good!

One of those movies, that you fall in love unconditionally...

Really a lovely piece of work.

The life of the main hero is being changed so much by the 6 year old child in his care, his every development brought tears to my eyes, especially, when you notice after some time of the movie, that not only Daikichi's life is changing, but for a more impressive effect his house is changing... from the boring ordinary room, into a room where everything is colorful, and everything is hanging from the ceiling...

I like that they made the child not the burden for Daikichi, but his partner in the challenges they faced... she was his equal while running, while making decisions, even sometimes the one that was actually guiding him!

Absolutely adorable moments when Daikichi is imagining dancing with Yukari and gets strength from the scenes...haha~ and his face when they first meet... priceless...

One of my favourite moments when at the end the children are doing their show and Rin repeats the movements Daikichi's sister taught her, Daikichi gives his sister the dirty look like 'How dare you teach my daughter such moves!!!' And of course the last moment, when he shows everyone her photo in his phone so proudly, haha~

The part when he was writing to Ren mom... so funny~ and when he was thinking that whatever happens, when he has Ren by his side at night, sound asleep when he sees her smile when he comes to get her from nursing school... everything's alright...

I hope they leave this story like this, and don't continue as the manga does, I read how it ends... I don't like the idea AT ALL...

Whatever they decide, this movie became one of my favourite ones from the first moments I was watching it, and that almost never happens to me...

Enjoy!

I have mixed feelings about this drama.
The story is great- quite different, with interesting narration and well paced, though it does drag a bit in the middle.
The actors were good, almost surprisingly so for me, especially with Micky (having seen him only in 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal', i was unsure of what to expect here) and Lee Tae Sung (who played the polar opposite of his character in Playful Kiss).
There were many things I liked about this drama-
the light heart-ed humor, the past-future lifestyle variations, and especially the three guys, who were cute and fun throughout. The music was good and fitting to the mood of the scene.
The female lead was cute and pretty, more so when she wasn't trying too hard to play the 'innocent' girl. The negative characters were very believable and felt real.
What I didn't like so much are-
the innumerable number of cliched situations, the situations that are made overly dramatic and artificial, the ridiculously obvious way that the 'good' people are repeatedly manipulated by the 'evil' ones (makes you want to knock them on the head and tell them to keep their phones safe and doors locked).
So, if you take away all the minor irritants, 'Rooftop Prince' is a good drama, with enough fun and intrigue to keep it entertaining.

I'm not even sure what to say about this. It started out awesome and very promising. I'm really bummed out right now at how they decided to end this, I was completely confused at what was going on the last 5 minutes of the series, and they didn't even attempt to clear all the things up for you.

I wouldn't waste your time on this drama honestly, it starts out pretty good but it drops drastically and there are other dramas that would better fill up your time, so only watch this if you have nothing else to watch on your list.

The story was a good idea, but could have been used in a better way.
The acting was great, especially from Gong Yoo, he really made the show worth watching in the end, otherwise I might of given up if it wasn't for him.
The music was good as well, I enjoyed all of the songs.
And I definitely will not be rewatching this one.

As many others, I was excited to watch this drama since it was Gong Yoo's return to the drama scene and I'm also a big fan of Lee Min Jung. Unfortunately though, Big didn't live up to its hype. I honestly felt a bit disappointed, especially with the ending. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the drama, but it could've been way better than what it actually was.

The story itself started off really well. It was entertaining, it kept me interested in the relationships between Gil Da Ran, Kang Kyung Joon, and the mysterious Seo Yoon Jae, and it was really funny as well with much thanks to Baek Sung Hyun. But as the story progressed, I felt that it started to lose its way as there were many filler scenes that could've been used for more plot or character development. They also kept going back and forth with the "to love or not to love" dilemma between the main characters which made the story drag a bit. Although this is common for romantic dramas, this case was pretty excessive and became a repetitive occurrence which started to get old after awhile.

The cast lineup was great. For having a script with a story that somewhat lost its way, Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung played their parts perfectly. Baek Sung Hyun also shined in his role as Da Ran's brother. He's actually one of the reasons I kept watching this drama since he always provided epic comic relief to all the drama going on. As for Shin Won Ho, despite being one of the main characters in the story, he barely got a chance to act at all, so if you're going to watch this because of him, I'd either pass on this one or just watch the first few episodes. In the time he was actually shown, he was great. If he had more opportunities to act in this drama, it probably would've been way more entertaining. And lastly, Suzy. I'm a fan of hers, but her acting wasn't noteworthy nor was it horrible either.

As for it's rewatch value, I doubt I'd watch it again. If I did though, I'd probably only watch the first few episodes because that was the best part in my opinion. The last two episodes were pretty disappointing and the end itself wasn't great either. It wasn't the worst I've seen, but it definitely left me wondering what the heck happened. There were many questions left unanswered because they decided to resolve the hyped climax within the last 10 minutes of the final episode. Why they didn't make better use of the last two episodes [or even more] for better closure to the story is beyond me. They had so many opportunities to make this story shine, but instead they let it run out of steam right midway into the drama.

I'd only recommend this if you have nothing else to watch. There are definitely some cute and hilarious moments that I enjoyed though and the chemistry between Gong Yoo and Lee Min Jung was great, so I'd say take a shot if you want to see it =]

I'll be honest here, I had extremely high expectations for this drama. I thought the plot was interesting and really had a lot of potential, but like a lot of others have mentioned, it really didn't live up to its expectations. Don't get me wrong, I actually thought this drama was good. In fact despite the ending I still enjoyed watching it, and felt that it wasn't a complete waste of time, but there are SO many things the Hong Sisters could have done differently about the ending. I don't want to spoil this drama for those of you who haven't watched it, so I'll try to hold back on most of my opinions. For me, I was more confused than disappointed when I finished the last episode because honestly, I really had no idea what was happening. A lot of unanswered questions were left too, I mean a lot of things most viewers were waiting for during the last episode were never actually picked up or shown. They just kind of breezed through everything without giving much detail.

Now.. Would I watch this again? Most likely not, but I will admit the cast did an amazing job despite the disappointing ending. So overall, I really don't recommend this one. I mean, watch it if you want.. Cause I know I was waiting a long time to watch this and was super excited when I finally got to watch it, but if you're not good with bad endings I suggest you either not watch it, or drop it while the couple is still happy.

So I'm just going to come out and say it: This drama sucked. BIG TIME.
It's such a shame because the story had a lot of potential, and it all went down the drain. So yeah, I understand if you start clicking your "Not helpful" button right now, but at least hear me (read me?) out.
I'm not going to spoil in how many ways this was frustrating, and in which ways the story lacked (A LOT), but I AM going to say that I,a big Hong Sister's fan, was really disappointed by this story- It gets to a point in which there ceases to be a story and it's just going around in circles time and time again, and the way it ends is awful, too.
Even though this is one of the worst dramas I've watched in a long time, it definitely can't be blamed on the cast. The whole cast was outstanding. The characters were awful, but it seemed very real, there was no bad acting in any part of the drama.
The music was normal, same as in most kdramas.
For the rewatch value, I definitely will NOT rewatch this. EVER again. I almost drop it the first time, NO.
Overall, this is a drama that had a lot of potential and got screwed big time. And as much as it pains me to say it, it's all the Hong Sister's fault, because the story didn't live up to its potential or its cast.
So, who do I recommend this to??? NO ONE. Maybe someone who's just starting to watch dramas, and differenciate between a good drama and a bad drama.

So did very much enjoy this movie a lot, but I feel like you have to be a Super Junior fan to enjoy this movie to it's full capacity. I mean, this is a really silly story and the plot is not really that deep at all. But at the same time, for a Super Junior fan, that's the humor behind it. The fact this popular boy band made a silly movie is just fun!

However, if you are NOT a fan, that's a horse of a different color. I guess you could enjoy it for the humor, but keep an open mind. This is a movie about a mystery man flinging poop at high school students. So you can't really go into this movie hoping for a lot of depth and meaning. If anything, there might be a slight hint of meaning about the Korean education system.. but not really. Or at least I don't think they tried to do that, but if someone REALLY wants something more to the movie then good-looking boys and poop... then sure why not.

I really liked this movie and even showed it to some friends, but again we are Super Junior fans. So that's a big reason as to why we enjoyed it so much.

One of my favorite kdrama so far, but I was so desappointing by the two last episodes. A shame. Gong Yoo is so great ( many top less scene at the beginning ! )and all the other actors are really good too. A lot of smiles and a little bit of tears. Awkward moments and misunderstandings as in every kdrama :)

This drama had sooo much potential for being one of my favorite dramas. There was so many things that happened that was really cute and I'll totally remember.
The story line was very touching and cute. For me it was a very good drama minus the ending. The ending made me very confused and angry. I personally felt that the ending didn't back up the purpose of the main actress' intentions/actions at all. I wish it didn't end up like that...
The OST was good, however nothing really stood out to me that. But it definitely brought out the drama more.

My suggestion is : DO WATCH THIS DRAMA!!!!
You can get a lot from it, it's definitely wroth watching. However just know that the last 5 mins or so just sucksss. And as long as your prepared for that, I think you'll be fine. If your big on ending, you probably should just skip the last episode... lol well anyways the rest of the drama is really good. Don't let the last 5 mins of the drama tell you otherwise.

I really think one *must* watch CHUNHYANG first to fully appreciate this story. I don't want to spoil the story-line, but while both movies are excellent, the Servent was more enjoyable to me, and more REAL to me - I could relate.

While Chunhyang glorifies (for lack of better word) the female lead (her virtue, and you get an insight into cultural traditions and beautiful poetry), it is the lead male who is the hero in this story, and the full depth of that does not become evident until the very end.

The movie is easy to watch, LOVED the humor and liberal (western-like) scenes, but underneath is a superb moral story, and a worthy hero. While the female lead is not as 'pure' in this story (as in Chunhyang), she is more real, more realistic, and though flawed, still worth the love and admiration she receives (maybe even more so).

I thought Ryu Seung Beom's role was 'ehh...' until the turning point in the story - when his character still manages to surprise you; the waterfall scene replays in my mind from time to time and I'm still (2 weeks later) trying to figure him completely out.

The ending, to me, amazing (maybe because I didn't see it coming). Not because of what happens (ok, interesting, but not amazing), but how the main character explains himself and his true motivations. The light-hearted story becomes a tale of true character and wisdom. That was my personal experience, and I hope others experience it as well as it truly was a beautiful and touching story that I will certainly want to re-watch from time to time.

ill make this short and straight to the point without sugar coating anything
this is probably the most boring drama i have ever seen !

50% of it was elders talking about insignificant things and i deeply regret bearing through it because i thought they might say something important but they never did
40% of it was more insignificant draggy scenes
10% of it was the rare actually funny scenes that i enjoyed

the story was fine but i think they could have done it in 16 episodes instead of dragging it to 24 episodes

the music didnt really catch my attention except for maybe one song which they put in a few scenes

the acting was good but SO many annoying characters

and i defintely wont rewatch it

so if you're really desperate for a drama to kill some time i guess u can watch this
but if you only watch REAL drama this is absolutely NOT the drama for you

Okay, before I review this, please Dongho fangirls, don't go into rage mode,it's just my opinion.

So,overall, the only thing I liked about this drama was Hoon's acting. I'm not a fan of U-Kiss,so apparently I'm not biased,as most people that review this.
Dongho's acting, was as good as a diving board's. During this drama,to me,he was like the Korean Kristen Steward.
The story could've been good, but it was incomplete almost everywhere.I cannot even call it a story to be honest.
I'm sorry, but this drama was so boring to me that I was barely able to watch it all.I finished it because I was expecting a nice ending.Well,I was wrong.
I won't even start on Dongho's martial arts skills. Just no.

Whoever read this review, thank you. My suggestion to people is that if they are fans of the said k-pop stars in the drama,it will probably be interesting to them. And if you are people who want to watch a quality drama, this is not your pick really.
Thanks all.

This drama was simply INCREDIBLE!

It took me some time to get through the very first episodes but when they were finished I sat glued to my computer.

City Hunter is a bit different from the other dramas I watch. Mostly lovey-dovey romantic comedies are dominant in my heart but I'm glad I got, finally, made myself watch this one. It has everything; action, love, friendship, relations overall and a freaking amazing plot that is very complicated but still easily understood for someone who isn't that familiar with Korean politics and other relevant areas.

Number one in this drama was, of course, the beloved Lee Min Ho, and yes, his character was awesome in every thinkable way! Handsome, kind, heroic and fights like a king! Yet, he is not the only one to impress. Park Min Young made a great job with her character Kim Na Na, and Go Ha Ra surprised me in the part as the spoiled President's daughter. Lee Joon Hyuk is now another actor that I will stalk to death. I also finally admitted that old people can act!

There is especially one of the instrumental pieces that I seriously love! It's dramatic and has a lot of emotions in it. It is the City Hunter drama translated into music. SHINee's Kim Jonghyun's ballad (So Goodbye) totally set the mood in the sad scenes, and yes, I love that guy...

There are quite a lot of episodes (20) á 60 minutes. There are MANY cliff hangers and sometimes the tension is just killing you, so I would be careful to watch this too often since it probably isn't good for your heart... But I will rewatch this drama, no doubt!

Except for the first one or two episodes that are made to introduce the watchers there is one tiny little thing that disappointed me, and that would be the ENDING. There were tons of drama and guns were fired etc. really cool and brilliant, but the very ending of the ending was a superduperteenytiny bit... dissatisfying. You have been WARNED !!!
But the drama is still worth watching! :D

This movie was great! It was such a tearjerker for me. Every single character in here portrayed their role greatly. And no matter what crime they did, all of the characters had a reason to do so and each of them became very involved with another and was very likable. It made jail life seemed like you can still have a life there and a feeling of almost hope. For this movie, I got so much to say but all I can say for this movie is that it is OUTSTANDING! I really recommend this movie..
