So good
It’s really addictingIf you are looking for a drama that will make you question everyone's motives while simultaneously shattering your heart, Veil of Shadow is it. I went into this expecting a standard "hidden identity" trope, but what I got was a sophisticated, high-budget masterpiece that refuses to play it safe.

I Became the Main Role of a BL Drama Season 2

Disappointing Season 2
PLOT: Our two heroes, supposed to be a couple, are now on two different film sets (with potential love rivals). Furthermore, Akafuji is too in love to even touch Hajime, who ends up having doubts.### What was funny in Season 1 becomes annoying and tiresome: unspoken words, irrational behavior, overacting, crude plot twists, over-the-top internal monologues, etc.
=> Season 1 had potential, but Season 2 failed to deliver. What a waste!
****************************************************
Dommage !

It's cute!
This drama is something simple and stress-free to watch, which can be a great thing! I watched this drama for Park Sung-hoon (one of my favorite actors lol). I loved his character and grew to like all of them towards the end. While I am not a huge fan of love triangles, I would argue that it actually is not a huge part of the plot. I expected her to make her choice in the finale episode, but she chose who she wanted in episode eight. Additionally, in my opinion, it was obvious who she was going to choose.
That being said, I do think the wedding could have been better. The two exchanged rings, which was a sweet moment. But I almost wish we had a time skip to their wedding. I think that would have been a better way to wrap up the show and bring all characters together a final time.
If you want a simple, sweet, and easy plot-wise story, watch this drama! I thought it was great!
Note: discard rewatch value rating (I have not rewatched the show from start to finish yet)

Not Just Good .. It's The Best
The warmth, relaxation, and comfort this series gave was phenomenal. I can't even move on from it for now. I haven't felt this way for so long. It’s all thanks to the writer for such a beautiful story, and to the director for making it come to life in such a perfect way.And last but not least, the main actors conveyed the characters' depth very well even though they are new faces with such little experience. I can assure you that no one else could have played Duang and Qin as TeeTee and Por did. They were literally living the characters and acted with so much depth. I can't even imagine 'Duang With You' without them. And yes, they weren't great in every aspect of their acting, yet they successfully delivered every feeling and meaning the characters were meant to tell us such as the warmth, freshness, emotional depth, the cheesy yet cute moments, and being light and fun but still serious enough when needed.
In my opinion, this is the best BL series for me in recent years. There are undeniably a lot of great BL series with exceptional qualities, from production to acting details, but I can guarantee that no other series was able to pull off the same vibes as 'Duang With You' did in the same genre. I just adore this series and every part of the crew.
Some Extra Notes For Nostalgia:
I even remember the first time I found the 'Duang With You' Pilot (yes, not the trailer) and how I was literally hooked and rooted for it all the way. I vividly remember that was the time when Khemjira ended and 'Duang With You' just popped up in my YouTube recommendations. The view counts weren't that impressive back then and I didn't even recognize TeeTee and Por from 'Your Sky' because I didn't follow it that much. In fact, DWY had some of the lowest views among all the other DMD lineups at the same time (I'm not sure if it was for 2025 or 2026). But I gave the pilot a try anyway and it was literally my cup of tea, and I was so determined to watch this series for sure. Even though Khemjira didn't live up to my expectations, it still had such great production so I had no doubt that DMD wouldn't fail with 'DWY' either. Now that the series has ended, it's all part of the journey. I'm so delighted to see 'Duang With You' receive all the love and attention it deserves. Maybe I’m exaggerating with all the words, but I am more than satisfied with the results DWY achieved. I’m just glad I was there from the very start. This is just a side note for some nostalgic feeling.

It had potential
Things I loved1 The premise. I love everything that ahs to do with undercover and I was hoping this would be romantic, funny, and original. It delivered a few laughs and some interesting moments but it was nowhere near romance. They wasted the potential of the series and they mislead the audience.
Things I liked
1 The FL. She's a good actress although that she would pass for a 20 years old was ridiculous.
2 The last scene here she goes undercover again. It seems to me that this story has much more potential.
Things I disliked
1 I didn't care about Nora or Albert. Everyone is crazy about hem, I'm not. Their acting didn't impress me and their characters were bland most of the time.
2 That Albert was supposed to be a romantic interest for the FL: I didn't see any chemistry and I thought that it would be ridiculous if they went down that road.
3 That it didn't have any romance and that the supposed ML didn't have anything interesting to do and he was there for the décor.
Things I hated
1 That they sold it like there would be romance and I stared it and wasted my time. I thought it'd be a romantic comedy mixed with some mystery, but it never had any real romance.
2 The actors who played the CEO of the company and the woman who has his right hand. Despicable characters and I hated both actors. I never like the male actor, no matter where I've seen him and he's everywhere.

Visually Stunning with a weird end that left me hanging for closure.
I'm telling yall I picked this up because of Tian Xiwei and also she kicked her suitor off the window in ep 1 and I was all in for this gorgeous woman.FL is the empress's sister, a county princess who is an old maid, unruly & frivolous and our ML is calm and composed celestial master trying to find the truth about his parents death...it was all really fun but i lost interest very quickly maybe because i felt the stakes were not high enough..?The stakes were high- but the lighthearted tone somehow contradicted it I guess.
My inexplicable dislike might be due to the fact that i'm really done with nonchalant, emotionally inexpressive men and ML's emotions were shown quite subtle ofc due to his character, his feelings were like slowly simmering beneath still water.
I also genuinely dislike when antagonists do the bad deed due to their obsession with the main character and it's really hard to achieve nicely.
Minor villain (Mr. Changming's motivations weren't clear enough).
But I absolutely loved Snake Lord & Mei Si together (A very CHALANT MAN HERE!!) and Xuan Hui- oh boy they were soo cute together. I love love Snake Lord sm, like My lady's calm, composed, intelligent and just totally amazing ofc im gonna love her.
The ending was cute (the last 10 mins only!!- the body exchange part, the rest was atrociously unlikable)
Overall, a fun show with amazing special effects that fit in seamlessly, really nice editing and cinematography really suited the tone of the show. I liked it, it was visually appealing but there was something about the story and plot that just wasn't for me.

A new favourite Jdrama!!!
The plot: One day, a kid just randomly appears out of thin air in her apartment claiming to be her son from the future. He’s 5 so he’s not born until 5 years after this show, and his mission is to find his father - Ma-Kun - who left when he was still very young. The show is slice-of-life in the best way. The FL participates in a local theatre group (run by her ex), and also has a part-time job at a call centre. Once her future son appears, she has the responsibility of finding childcare for him and looking after him whilst managing her acting and work.
Whilst the basic premise aims to find Sato’s father, by the way the FL’s life was going at the very beginning of episode 1, I feel like the implicit meaning of the show is to also show you have a future. You might not be able to picture it, but it exists. Before the FL’s son appeared, the FL was burnt out and tired, and whilst she really struggled with balancing having a child on top of that, she managed to rely on the people to help her and rediscover her passion for acting (something she was supposed to give up after 10 years if it didn’t bring success).
Now, onto the possible dads!! There’s 3 possibilities: her ex and theatre group manager (Yoshi), the FL’s childhood friend and nursery school teacher (Ma-Sensei), and another actor in her theatre troupe (Yano-Kun). I won’t give my opinions of them individually, but just know that Ma-Sensei is my favourite!!
Other shows that may bring the same vibes:
Where Does the Sea Begin (2024) and Light of My Lion (2024) both involve someone abruptly becoming a caregiver/parent to a child and the trials and tribulations that it brings alone!
Life’s Punchline (2021) has some very loose similarities. It involves a comedy trio who had a pact to give up on their dream if they didn’t make it in 10 years after high school. Also very slice-of-life with a skit called Melon Soda which I still think about after five years. Also has a FL who has struggled with depression and burn out and found comfort in this comedy trio.

Warm Comfortable kindof drama
Cute & Charming with a female character that's resilient, persistent and really strong. ML is also soo cute but has his own flaws that he actively tries to workout and they both encourage each other to be a better version of themselves- I really loved that, aside to that tho...the story is pretty mild, can be used as a palate cleanser but the plot in itself does not leave anything much to say...tho the journey is really beautiful. The secondary couple? Initially it was a no no noo for me but the SFL was really rational and charming so much so that I really came to enjoy her story too.
Overall a really fulfilling and fun ride!

Definitely Not for me, should've dropped ?
I regret finishing this even with fast forwarding and skipping the eps.I was definitely not the intended audience for this show- the young and ignorant me might have enjoyed this show.
I did like the relationship both characters had with their roommates and friends with Song zhi. It highlighted her naivety and showed her as a college girl with dreams and passion- and both did look cute together. Song zhi and Song yan's interactions were soo hilarious.
This show was not for me.

Hwang Chansung!!
I'm really happy to see Chansung(2PM) in another drama. (Tae-geum) and this time even though it's a support role it felt like a main role. His acting was on spot. Also the fight scenes were very professional. you can see that all the actors trained really hard for the fight scenes. And Chansung was using his martial arts skills that was a different aspect from the others cuz the kicks and the footwork was awesome to watch. And his fight with rain was awesome. Both great actors and the storyline between them was well written that's why the fighting scene was very emotional and thrilling at the same time. I watched the first season but this time more than main roles I liked the villains. I think they carried the show...Was this review helpful to you?
Exquisite cinematography, well developed characters & a satisfying end.
HOLY LORD I'M TOTALLY OBSESSED WITH THIS SHOW!!I love the depth, the schemes, the mystery of the plot but even more so the cinematography is epic-
Usually it takes me a few eps to be hooked by the show but here episode one enthralled me soo strongly, it does take a slight dive after the initial high but after that the quality & consistency of the characters remains the same throughout until the final conflict- it was weird seeing them trusting the emperor despite hs past transgressions and also very hard to believe that they'd let their hard work go naught and have fallback plan thankfully that didn't happen, it was along the lines of fooling the audience, artfully done in my opinion.
Also loved the story of the ex husband & his loverhow it first showed that people do change, how upbringing and environment affects people, i really enjoyed watching their arc.
This show had a really competent plot, an amazing cast, with brilliant acting, great fighting sequences and ofc the amazing cinematography.
The ending ngl this one had by far the most fulfilling ending instead of just the usual 10 minutes of happily ever after this one had a lot- and seeing Song Mo & Dou Zhao being the tired parents of a kid with boundless energy and rejoicing when she goes to school was soo hilarious and the best!
This show is a MUST WATCH!!

THE 'SEASONSAL' METAPHOR
The drama's primary strength lies in its striking visual and emotional contrasts. The narrative centers on Song Ha-ran, a designer who has metaphorically 'locked herself in winter' after a tragic accident in Boston seven years prior, and Sunwoo Chan, a man who appears to approach life as if 'every day is a summer vacation.' The cinematography skillfully transitions from cold, sterile interiors to the vibrant warmth that Sunwoo Chan introduces into Ha-ran's life. Although the series initially presents as a conventional romance, the plot gains depth as Sunwoo Chan's enigmatic background is revealed. After losing his hearing and memory in an accident, his connection to Ha-ran's past—specifically his association with her late boyfriend, Kang Hyeok-chan—offers a compelling rationale for their encounter. The series avoids sensationalizing trauma by emphasizing the protagonists' efforts to reconstruct their lives, rather than focusing solely on their suffering.Lee Sung-kyung delivers a nuanced and sophisticated performance, effectively portraying the transformation from the 'ice queen' CEO of Nana Atelier to an individual who gradually permits vulnerability. Chae Jong-hyeop continues to excel in roles characterized by emotional healing. His portrayal of a character whose cheerful demeanor conceals profound secrets and physical scars introduces complexity, preventing the character from becoming a simplistic 'sunshine' archetype. The subplot involving Ha-ran's grandmother, Kim Nana, and her experience with dementia, introduces a poignant secondary theme concerning the fragility of memory. This narrative thread parallels the protagonists' struggles, as one seeks to forget while the other strives to remember.
In summary, In Your Radiant Season forgoes conventional high school nostalgia in favor of a mature and atmospheric exploration of trauma, memory, and healing, resulting in a satisfying and emotionally resonant viewing experience.
