Our Universe show that it's funny, cute, and sad moments
I had started watching Our Universe korean drama show on March 1-March 13. I watched it on Kisskh website. This korean drama show is about Hyung-Jin meet Tae-Hyung when he was selling his rorman lights. they meet again when Tae-Hyung find out about his brother is marrying Hyung-Jin's sister. It makes them both sister-in-law and brother-in-law. Hyun-Jin decided to take care of her nephew, Woo-Joo. Tae-Hyung and Hyun-Jin both have a crush on each other. It took Hyun-Jin to realize her feelings and her love for him. I find Our Universe is funny when Tae-Hyung is pulling Woo-Joo while he was in the trash can. poor Woo-Joo carry by Tae-Hyung. it's cute that Woo-Joo is yawning in episode 1. I like Hyun-Jin and Woo-Joo is hugging in episode 2. it's funny Hyun-Jin see Woo-Joo and Tae-Hyung calls his sister-in-law honey in episode 2. I like that Hyun-Jin tells Tae-Hyung about the checklist and a check-in with Woo-Joo. it's funny that there's a video that embarrass to Hyun-Jin in episode 3. it's funny that Hyun-Jin and Tae-Hyung both realized that they were drunk in episode 4. it's funny that the two little kids attacked their tent down in episode 5. It's cute that Tae-Hyung is getting Woo-Joo ready for day care/child care in episode 6. It's cute that Tae-Hyung and Woo-Joo is sleeping together in episode 8. it's funny how Moo-Saeng say to Gyu-Jeong he is single and forever alone in episode 9. it's cute Woo-Joo have a show in episode 10. It's finally Hyun-Jin confess her feelings for Tae-Hyung. it's funny that Tae-Hyung say he is Hyung-Jin's boyfriend in episode 11. I didn't like it when Hyun-Jin hide Tae-Hyung and Woo-Joo in episode 5. I didn't like it how Tae-Hyung slam the plate of meat when Hyun-Jin gave it to him. I didn't like it when Hyun-Jin's coworkers think she's a spy in episode 7. I do agree with Tae-Hyung saying that is bullying. I didn't like how the child service lady say that Hyun-Jin is neglecting Woo-Joo in episode 12. I feel she still care when she checks on Woo-Joo when he starts crying. Was this review helpful to you?
ADR
I love this show and the plotline. the acting is peak, but the ADR could use a little work. Characters will say something and the mouth doesn't move with it. Just a pet peeve of mine, and I know China does it a lot so I'm kind of used to it, but it seems especially off in this one.I love the actors and I enjoy their hard work! I love the setting as you dont see many bl stories in this time. I really enjoy the characters too and the lingering camera shots to accentuate a moments like the party.

Perfection was snatched away from us by a lazy and unsatisfying ending
OMG! I was so close to loving every second of this! It was so human and the emotions felt so real. It's one of very few series to actually make me cry. I was 100% involved with these characters, including the second couple. But listen, writers, the ending is mission critical! And the whole thing, everything we experienced together, was ruined in the final 2 (2.5?) episodes. Poof. Gone. It was so good while it lasted.
I'm sure lots of people were like, it was a beautiful happy ending. But there was some manufactured drama followed by an unnecessarily tidy bow to tie up their story that I found extremely disappointing. Maybe others love that (the reviews do and dont bear that out) but I loved these characters before they turned into a poorly executed bl trope. I loved them when they felt totally authentic and their imperfections helped create that.
Honestly, I felt like the actors knew they were getting a bad script/story near the end because there were a few cringe moments in the final episodes where they didnt seem committed to the (ridiculous) storyline.
And what about that second couple? Why did their relationship evolve almost completely offscreen? I wanted way more content from them! I liked their whole thing and wanted to see more.
Dont get me wrong, I'm glad I watched it. And I absolutely recommend you watch it too. But damn, it was so close to perfection and then it suddenly and deeply wasn't.

The Drama's weakest point
This drama had so much potential, because of its strong cast, I had so much hope for this show but the moment I saw some AI generated drawings I instantly lost interest. I believe the ai generated images kind of contradicts the characters career which is an artist, I hope this DOES NOT become the new norm for shows as I see shows and movies as an opportunity to see various ways of creativity being expressed, either threw the plot, to the props, and even the clothes characters wear throughout the show. Was this review helpful to you?

This is what dying feels like
What a fucking bittersweet ending it has my ripping my heart out of my chest rn. I stg there needs to be an 11th happy episode. Watching the last episode is what dying a slow death feels like. Some of the characters pmo but redeem themselves in the end, other than that I think its overall an alright watch! Was this review helpful to you?
All Over the Place and Hard to Follow
As a stand-alone film, this movie struggles heavily with storytelling. The narrative feels choppy and often incoherent, with little connection between scenes or character actions. Many moments seem to jump from one point to another without proper buildup, leaving the viewer confused about what is happening and why. For someone unfamiliar with the original story, the film can feel disorienting and, at times, frustrating to follow. The pacing adds to this problem. Some scenes are stretched out unnecessarily, while others pass by so quickly that you barely have time to process them. This uneven pacing creates a scattered viewing experience where important moments don’t get the attention they need, while less significant scenes are given too much time.
I also found myself questioning certain directorial choices. Some scenes, like extended introductions or visual sequences, do not add much value to the story and instead take away time that could have been used to develop the plot more clearly. On top of that, the CGI throughout the film is noticeably weak, which further affects immersion.
Overall, the movie feels disconnected and poorly structured. With better editing, tighter storytelling, and improved pacing, it could have been much more engaging. As it stands, it’s a disappointing watch, especially for viewers expecting a coherent and well-executed narrative.

how to move on
i just finished this. I’m still in a daze. i refused to watch it for a long time. no idea why. i just don’t have words on how good this was. this will be forever the best BL drama! the acting…! the ml both were amazing. i first thought dean was a bit wooden but that was just the character he played. as it got deeper into the story, you could see his true acting skill. his partner…omg his eyes! nothing in the BL universe will ever compare to those eyes! every emotion was mirrored in them. the storyline was heartbreaking to say the least. the music was on my last nerve. especially that bar piano climpering as background for the ml. nothing romantic about that.I’m trying to find words how deep this show actually is and how it impressed me. i don’t think there is a way to express that.
it broke my heart knowing that this is probably reality for many couples. it shouldn’t be this way. it really shouldn’t!

Comfort Winter Watch!!
What a perfect cozy winter watch. I really enjoyed the snowboarding aspect of the show, I think it was done well. The comic side was a little hard to believe, but fun. The main couple was very wholesome and I really enjoyed them. Lin Yi was such a charming love interest, he had such a gentle tender personality. Esther Yu was so cute, and it felt natural. I will say, some of the episodes DRAGGEDDDDD. The best moments were in the snow. Shoutout to the enjoyable side characters as well. I am glad they did not force everyone to be in relationships. I hope to watch more stuff with Lin Yi in it. (I am already an Esther Yu fan)Was this review helpful to you?

Peak bromance
This was a great action drama that manages to hit just the right spot between heart-warming, funny, and dark.I absolutely adore the ML and his kind-heartedness and care for his mother; the friendship between the two leads really is the heart of the show and it was such a great display of healthy masculinity.
On the thriller side, I'm also really impressed with the show's willingness to kill people off and just be utterly brutal. It makes the stakes feel much higher. On thing that does hamper the plot a bit is the disappearance of Hyun-ju's character, who was such a vital part of the first half it felt weird to not have her in the second half at all. I understand that this was a side effect of the situation in real life though, but it feels — especially in hindsight — such a shame to not have that throughline in the plot.
Other than that, a great drama with great action seasons. Looking forward to season 2 later this year.

Oh the tears!
Grab your tissue for this one. I liked it. As first when I saw the trailer I was skeptical and thought that its weird watching an old lady and a younger guy.I am glad I watched it. nothing was weird. I liked their dynamics and also the plots like who would that thought she wasnt actually human but emotions???.
They are so devoted to each other and I like that.

A cute BL rom-com with a pinch of the supernatural
Head 2 Head is a cute, cozy BL rom-com with a pinch of the supernatural that keeps things fun. There are two couples sharing the spotlight almost evenly, and both bring something different to the table.Jinn and Jerome deliver a classic rivals-to-lovers energy, full of witty banter and playful tension. Their chemistry is warm and genuinely sweet. I honestly did not expect that much kissing and intimacy, but it’s handled in a healthy, respectful way that suits the young leads. The supernatural aspect with the Jerome being able to see the future and trying to prevent bad things from happening is what adds depth to the romance between him and Jinn.
Van and Farm’s pairing leans into more complex emotional territory. Their story has no supernatural elements and instead relies on heavier internal conflicts, producing a few intense, well-played scenes. I personally really felt for Van when he finally cried in the scene with the cigarette on the balcony after the fallout was also pretty good. You really do get all the feels too with Farm’s anger. Their intimacy is just a dash spicier. I think the actors match that level better.
Both of these pairings are new to me, but they spark good chemistry. The acting was natural. It could use polish in places, but the performers show real promise and charm. I also have seen actors with a lot more industry experience acting worse. I am positive that these new actors are all working on their skills as they prepare for the next project.
If you want a college-set BL that focuses on romance, Head 2 Head doesn’t waste time. It devotes about 90% of its attention to the relationships and keeps the supporting cast lean so the love stories stay front and center.
The writing—especially the dialogue and jokes—is a highlight. There are plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and clever exchanges that make the show highly rewatchable.
Bottom line: If you want straightforward, feel-good romance without toxic baggage and without overthinking, Head 2 Head is a great pick.

A must watch series
Was kinda hesitating to watch this series at first and I'm glad that I got to watch this masterpiece. As someone who's a fan of angsty dramas this is a 10/10. I really love the emotional depth of the characters as well as their chemistry. It made me fall in love with the two of them. This is also the drama that made me watch The Princess Royal. So far, this series has been added to my comfort series. The ending might be rush but this is definitely worth to watch. Was this review helpful to you?

Yowza, spicy drama but a lot of family mess
This drama made it to my watchlist when it was released but I kept forgetting to watch it until it appeared on IQIYI. I decided to watch it few days ago and I must say what a wacky drama. What I liked:
1. Styling - Zhang Yu Tian was gorgeous and the outfits she wore were fantastic. I loved the red dress she wore at the start. Her black and white dress also matched with Zhang Bei Xi's outfits. He got great clothes too.
2. Romance - Steamy with gazillion kisses. They were hot for each other. That shower scene yowza!
3. Acting - I enjoyed performances by both leads and Wen Zhi Cheng. Combustible chemistry between Zhang Yu Tian and Zhang Bei Xi. Damn, I wonder what Lin Rui Xue thought of this drama. Anyway I think there is implicit trust between ZYT & ZBX since this isn't their first collaboration.
4. Supporting characters - I liked ML's assistant for his loyalty. FL's friend was good too.
5. FL characterisation - I liked that she didn't give a rat's ass about wealth especially during the search for long-lost heiress. I loved that she called the police for the donation fraud.
What I disliked:
1. Antagonists - Too many baddies including family members. FL's family was horrible for abandoning FL after DNA test while ML's family was controlling. Xiao Xiao was insecure woman always jealous of FL. Jin Ming Yue was possessive.
2. Third arc - The split personality arc was introduced in the last 12 episodes. I wished it was introduced in second arc to give some breather.
Favourite scene
Shower scene and morning after

The legends are true, even the sad ones.
Like a folktale passed down through memory, Moon Warriors is lush, lyrical and ever so slightly untethered from reality. Steeped in the traditions of its genre, it's tragic, yearning and tinged with inevitability, all the while drenched in natural beauty: misty coastlines, windswept forests and moonlit waters that give the film an almost ethereal quality. The craftsmanship is New Wave at its finest, and director Sammo Hung delivers a wonderfully subdued swordswinging adventure, gifting us two of the greatest choreographers ever combining their talents in a film that blends wuxia fantasy, budding romance and aggressively high-flying acrobatics, not to mention an Andy Lau / orca bromance. Sammo beat Warner Brothers to the punch on that fad. The undercranked camerawork really adds an element of dynamism and furious pace to the incredibly choreographed action, mixing wire-fu swordplay and traditional kung fu with a flawless ability; the final duel on the beach is the standout for me. The cast only adds to the film's mesmerising allure; Lau is always a joy to watch, bringing with him a quiet sincerity to his role as our humble, lovestruck hero, and the chemistry he shares with Anita Mui's princess is an absolute treat to watch onscreen all the while Maggie Cheung, in one of her most offbeat roles, gets to stretch her villainous chops as a betrayer who has a thing for the emperor. It might be one of the few times I've ever seen her not smile. Coupled with an utterly joyous musical score and lightning pacing, despite a few bizarre moments that verge on daft, Moon Warriors is an absolute delight. Filled with atmosphere, beauty and a poetic resonance that lingers long after the credits roll while expertly immersing you in feelings of longing, fleeting connections, and lives shaped by forces beyond control. And like the tide it so often frames, it's the sadness that never quite recedes. Was this review helpful to you?
