Vile villains!
July 2026.A seemingly ruthless male lead character that totally uses the FLC, framed and accused of an affair with him, who marries him, becoming another concubine, to survive the scandal.
The FLC is very intelligent, sharp, and has many hidden agendas of her own.
I love LXY and he is great at playing this type of lead role. Aspects of this drama do remind me a lot of Kill Me Love Me, however.
There are some horrendously vile (and weak) characters in this. The main villain is truly hateful, as is the FLC's disgusting father.
Bound by necessity, and eventually common goals, respect and love blossoms ~ but it's far from easy, and the highs, lows, and everything in-between that takes us to the story's conclusion, makes for a very decent watch.

WOW!
Absolutely amazing. I felt so much satisfaction at times. The bullying and the emotions were on the other end of the spectrum.Very powerful drama. I clapped, yelled, cried and felt anger.
This drama really brings home the severity of bullying.
Definitely a must watch. The actors all around were really really good. The music was also very appropriate.

the people are lying to you
as an omegaverse enjoyer, this show is straight dookie!!bad acting, bad writing, bad pacing. Honestly, the only interesting thing is the abo concept but it’s hard to enjoy when it’s overshadowed by pure cringe and wooden actors.
I don’t know if I can keep watching this show, these 4 episodes have felt like a chore to get through. I was excited for live-action committed omegaverse but this is just not good :(
Episode 4 was a totally waste of time, Phasta being jealous over Nakhun having previous partners before him which was so stupid. then, Nakhun lying about being shot for literally no reason. Also this female Alpha (I think she is) randomly showing up and there’s been little to no info on who she is or her connection to any of these characters. Zero time spent on actually developing / build up to NakhinOngsa relationship, Nakhin just suddenly kissed him for no reason and is now into him ???

i love how cringe it is
This may be an unpopular opinion, but i actually love how cliche, cringe and predictable this is. And do you know why? Beacuse it was purposely made to be like that. I love Pond's over-the top acting, giggling, and stuff, because you can see how much he is enjoying doing it. It feels like he himself is finding it funny and just doing whatever. It is predictable on purpose and i love that i can just giggle and swing my feet like a little girl. It is comforting to know that nothing really horrible is going to happen and that they are just there to be cute. I will be rewatching this in like a couple of years just to feel the whimsy again.Was this review helpful to you?
Supernatural but not cheesy
I’m not a fan of horror or jump-scare movies. Being startled for the sake of a cheap thrill has never appealed to me. However, a dark, mysterious occult series with high production values and outstanding performances is a completely different story.East Palace proves that eight episodes are more than enough to tell a complex and compelling tale. It masterfully weaves together palace intrigue, murder, political conspiracies, and the supernatural without ever feeling rushed or bloated.
Nam Joo Hyuk delivers another excellent performance in the lead role, which comes as no surprise. The real standout for me, however, was Roh Yoon Seo. She brought remarkable depth and conviction to her character, making her every bit as captivating as the protagonist.
The CGI is first-rate, polished, immersive, and refreshingly free of the cartoonish effects that often plague fantasy dramas. The story unfolds at a steady, confident pace, revealing just enough with each episode while introducing twists that keep you guessing until the very end. Although it deals with spirits and the occult, this is less a horror series than a well-crafted supernatural mystery.
More than anything, East Palace demonstrates that a drama doesn’t need 40 episodes to tell a rich, engaging story. By avoiding unnecessary subplots, disposable characters, and overblown visual effects, it delivers a tightly written, visually impressive, and thoroughly satisfying experience.

A 2026 Masterpiece Defined by Hou Minghao’s Magical Eye Language!
I came to watch this drama out of curiosity, and it easily became one of the absolute best dramas of 2026! While some people are hesitating to watch it because of the real-life age gap, you honestly don't feel it at all while watching. Their chemistry on screen is incredibly beautiful, pure, and deeply romantic.The biggest highlight of this show is undoubtedly Hou Minghao. He is absolutely phenomenal, but what completely steals the show is his incredible eye language. His eyes are so expressive that he doesn't even need words to convey love, pain, or intensity. Every single "eyekiss" and gaze he gives is out of this world! It makes the romance feel so much more passionate and alive. Combined with his flawless acting and top-tier action scenes, he is a true masterclass here. The talented Ai Mi also holds her own beautifully next to him. Hands Down One of the Best Dramas of 2026!
I originally came to watch this drama out of curiosity, and now I am completely obsessed! Key to the Phoenix Heart is easily one of the absolute best dramas of 2026. I know many people were hesitant to start watching because of the real-life age gap between the leads, but trust me, once you actually start the show, that age gap completely disappears. Their on-screen chemistry is incredibly beautiful, sweet, and natural.Hou Minghao is absolutely phenomenal here. His acting is flawless, his action sequences are top-tier, and his eye language (eyekiss) is out of this world—he expresses so much deep emotion just with his eyes! Matching his brilliance is the highly talented Ai Mi, who delivers a spectacular performance. Overall, this is a masterfully made drama that you should not miss!

Don't Let the Age Gap Scare You—This is a 2026 Masterpiece!
I came to watch this with an open mind, and it turned out to be one of the best dramas released in 2026! A lot of people are skipping this due to the age gap talk, but when you watch the episodes, you won't notice it at all. The romantic chemistry between the leads is so beautiful and pure. Hou Minghao is brilliant—his action scenes are flawless, and his expressive eyes tell a whole story on their own. Ai Mi proves once again how incredibly talented she is. Kept my interest through all 40eps.
July 2026.Following a change to the intended of her arranged marriage, our FL joins a household living under a shadow. Both she and her new husband have more in common than they realise, and this is gradually revealed.
I loved this drama, and it is quite different to a lot of similar recent releases from China.
Trust issues were a constant challenge, and there were a few too many times when both lead characters made things far harder than they needed to be.
I always say C-dramas are hard to beat for lavish sets, costumes, and amazing martial arts and battle scenes; because it's true.
This drama has a more gentle pace; there is still bloodshed, and some very emotional scenes, but it's also one of the few costume dramas to include mental trauma, its affects, and to address them.
I loved the cast and didn't get bored with the storyline. Nice mix of characters, with peripheral supporting character storylines included. I watched as it aired, and looked forward to every episode.

I don’t think the directors ever read Omegaverse
It feels like they asked AI to summarize the genre and yolo’d. As a huge OV fan who loved “Desire: ABO”, I’m extremely disappointed.The acting is weak, the system of OV is confusing, the script itself sometimes makes little sense to me. It lacks the heart that Desire had, and a lot if this I attribute to both the script and directing.
All in all I gave BO a second chance after the disaster that was “My Stubborn”, but I think they still need more work.

Half-Baked Side Couples
There were three side characters that were given romantic storylines but all were left unfinished and felt unsatisfying.The worst was Tian who had many blips of hook-ups, a hint of a connection that came from nowhere and fizzled out just as fast, and then a rushed, last minute "couple" with no chemistry or connection. Tian's storyline revealing why he opted for hook-ups deserved a clean ending where he finds someone to commit to but they only teased one potential with an older man that ended just as soon as it begun and an awkward, mismatched feeling tease with the bellboy.
Tai and Yu only hinted a connection around the edges but nothing ever happened.
Tee and Jeab felt like the only acceptable ending because Tee stumbled through a somewhat confession in a post-credits scene that hinted at a future story to come.
Fu and Moo was enjoyable but having three incomplete storylines felt too distracting to me even though the main couple got a full, well-rounded storyline.

A letdown!
This drama is weird, seems like a messy storyline and add bad CGI to that. Their faces could not save the sh*t show.This show is like the Temu version of Maid's Revenge (2022), which is saying a lot. And, I really liked Maid's revenge. I said what I said. Bye.
Basically, this drama was supposed to be a short vertical drama, the director decided getting some pretty faces to work on it would make it a blockbuster, didn't happen.
And what the f was that AI intro? That pissed me off, right at the start

I love how this drama embraces the reality of life. It portrays mature love, trust, and the courage to move forward from the past. No one is 100% perfect, and I love that the female lead is allowed to be flawed and human instead of being the "Perfect Female Lead" She's scared, she overthinks and worries about both the past and the future, just like the rest of us.The only unrealistic part. The male lead is just too perfect. 😂
