A drama that actually swallowed me whole

I knew what I was getting myself into, yet I was still shocked by how insane the ML is. I'm so biased because he's absurdly handsome but my god, the red flags in this drama were insane. It felt like he was falling into madness as his obsession consumed him and we were dragged along with him.

Advertised idol x actor trope but it was more rookie actor x popular actor. The bet placed was thankfully not taken too far as Chiaki fell extremely hard and quick for Ama. It's not surprising since Ama is an adorable FL. She's naive, don't get me wrong, but does have a backbone when push comes to shove. I cheered when she set hard boundaries after Chiaki took it too far at times but unfortunately, his manipulate ass somehow always managed to win her over,

Overall, a wacky but widely entertaining watch. Fantastic OST, rapid plotline that did not drag. A consuming and toxic love story of two people who are surprisingly the perfect match. Don't save either of them, they are exactly where they want to be.

Be Careful What You Wish For

Who hasn't wished at one time or another that they could just disappear or start over somewhere where no one knew them? But what would you do if it actually happened? What if that fleeting moment of frustration became the basis for your every day life? This series reminds us that even in our times of struggle and uncertainty, there are so many people around us whose lives would be forever changed if we weren't in it. It's so easy to get wrapped up in anxiety, grief, and depression, and we forget that the good times are there too. That we have people we love and who love us back. This series is a wonderful reminder to keep pressing forward and not take our loved ones for granted, and to also remember that it's ok to ask for help sometimes.

About My Sweet Mobster (2024)

This is one of my most favorite K-dramas I have ever watched․ I really loved this story‚ each and every character and the bond between them․ Every emotion that you will see in this drama feels so real that it makes your soul be comforted and isolated at the same time․ The main lead was represented so perfectly‚ every part of his personality and his expression‚ care and love was impactful and I could never forget him․ There was so much emotion in every episode and every important moment that it was in my heart․ And the chemistry between the characters was magical․ I felt the show was not just entertaining‚ but was emotionally healing․ The kind of drama that remains with you long after the closing credits roll․

Lee Jong Suk and Kang So Ra!

Doctor Stranger had so much potential, but it felt like the writers couldn’t tighten the story up in a way that fully delivered on its premise. The setup is strong and the medical thriller angle with North Korea had a lot of room to be gripping, but the execution often felt uneven and scattered, which made it hard to stay fully invested throughout.

Lee Jong Suk as Park Hun was one of the highlights of the drama. He did a great job and his delivery as a doctor felt convincing and natural, especially in high pressure surgical scenes. One of my favorite moments was when he was saving a baby, it really showed his intensity and skill as a dctor and stood out as one of the most emotional and engaging parts of the drama.

The chemistry between Lee Jong Suk and Jin Se Yeon was completely lacking. I couldn’t even root for them as a couple, and their scenes together felt flat and forced.

Lee Jong Suk and Kang So Ra had great chemistry and their dynamic felt more natural and believable on screen. You can see the admiration she has for him as a doctor which I felt turned into a crush, but I liked the way it was played out.

Jin Se Yeon’s portrayal of a North Korean spy didn’t work for me either. I couldn’t take her seriously in the role, especially in scenes where she was supposed to appear threatening, tough, or mysterious. It just didn’t land emotionally or convincingly, which made her storyline less engaging.

Overall, the drama had a strong concept and a solid cast, but the writing and character chemistry issues kept it from reaching its full potential.

How a Script Perfectly Matches Its Title: The Wonderfools

Unlike nonsensical dramas like 'Duty After School'—where no mysteries are solved, events are never clearly explained, and characters die unnecessarily—this was a show where everything was explained as clearly as possible, and both comedy and drama were beautifully executed. I was so deeply moved when the daughter of the man with the sticky superpower remembered everything. Even if a second season never comes, rewatching the show from the very beginning will feel like a second season to me. It was one of those rare Korean dramas with a well-written ending. After all, Korean dramas usually end either poorly or with an open-ended finale.

Brilliant lines, beautiful shots

Instead of choosing happiness, we laugh at the misery, more or less my personal motto (and has been for a while), and apparently could also be Park Hae Youngs motto too...

Most of the time I am a character and fluff mood watcher. But to be honest I often seem to need to be dragged in to the depth of despair to truly love a drama. This drama excelled at the art of making a drama so powerful you don't really care if you love the characters or not , one where you get fed scene after scene, line after line with so much depth, emotion and thought it made me pause and rewatch several scenes some multiple times with such lines as:

" I don't get books like "please look after mom," iv got a different idea of "mom" from everyone else"

"My hair is pretty thick, if you start a fight and start pulling it, you might loose a finger"

While I did get annoyed with most of the characters in one way or another (because of their behaviour, and after a while its in a good way) The female lead was outstanding in every single way, actually most of the female characters in this had amazing lines, great acting and felt oddly relatable in very different slightly disturbing ways. The way hardship, mental illness, trauma fear and everything in between is displayed made me fall in love with this.

The power of words, the power of the sound of high heals, the power of silence and emotions are displayed in so many ways. The attention to detail it is indeed a true Park Hae Young (as you can read in the article me and Anquat wrote about her)

All this said I am going to admit that something was off in the last few episodes that kept me from rating this with a full 10 star rating but I will say this was brilliant.

Creative but Gets Hard to Stay Invested In

W Two Worlds started off really interesting, funny, and cute. The whole setup of jumping between the real world and a webtoon felt fresh and had a lot of potential, and the early episodes were genuinely fun to watch. There was a nice balance of romance, humor, and mystery that made it easy to get invested in Kang Chul’s story and the strange connection between the two worlds.

But after Kang Chul finds out his life isn't real and that he is a character in a manhwa, the drama takes a turn that just lost me. Instead of deepening the story in a satisfying way, it started feeling more complicated and less engaging. The emotional weight didn’t fully land, and I eventually lost interest and dropped it because it stopped feeling as fun or compelling as it was in the beginning.

That said, Lee Jong Suk and Han Hyo Joo had great chemistry. Their scenes together were one of the strongest parts of the drama and really helped carry the emotional side of the story, especially in the earlier episodes when the romance felt more natural and light.

10/10 Very Worth wacthing-9.5/10

10/10 Very Worth wacthing-9.5/10
Most of Thai GL series I drop after 1st episode but Mate and
TSOU give me different feeling.
1. Mate is made from novel, two main character (Genlong, Aoey) are exactly the same as novel.
Both Grace and Oaey are charming and good at acting.
Grace is really good at using her eye for express Gen emotion while Oey shows Aoey PTSD symptoms cleary.
2. Almost plot are still the same as novel but some of them have been adjusted for more reasonable and interesting.
Even I have finished reading novel, watching new episode always surprised me what gonna happen next.
3.etc: Other character also support with their good work (Both Adult and Children).
Please support the series with legal watching through official Zense Youtube, WeTV, Amarin TV.

Devastating Tragic Love Story

The Hymn of Death was such a heartbreaking tragic love story. From the very beginning, the drama carries this heavy emotional atmosphere that makes you feel like the characters are fighting against time, society, and their own circumstances. The script did a great job showing how painful and impossible their love felt without making the emotions seem forced or overly dramatic.

What made the drama stand out was how quiet and restrained the storytelling felt. Instead of relying on exaggerated scenes, it focused more on emotional tension, sacrifice, and the sadness surrounding their relationship. Even though it's a short drama, it leaves a lasting emotional impact because of how intimate and tragic the story feels from start to finish.

My favorite scene was when Yun Sim Deok was performing on stage and she saw Kim U Jin leave, then immediately ran after him. The tension and the longing in that scene were incredible. You could feel how desperately they wanted to hold onto each other despite knowing how impossible their situation was. It was such an emotional and beautifully acted moment.

Lee Jong Suk and Shin Hae Sun had incredible chemistry throughout the drama. You could genuinely feel the longing, love, and emotional connection their characters had every time they were together. A lot of the emotional weight of the story came from their performances because they made the relationship feel deeply sincere and tragic in a very believable way.

10/10 2025 GL with the Best Cinematography, Sets, Acting, Chemistry and OSTs

10/10 2025 GL with the Best Cinematography, Sets, Acting, Chemistry and OSTs
I can honestly say this is the best GL series I've watched this year. The thing that sets RC apart from other GLs is its nonlinear storytelling and use POV scenes which I've only seen used in The Witcher series never in a GL as most GLs are shot like soap operas or Disney channel shows. The storyline and pacing are the best as there was no rushing or dragging of the plot. Each characters' choice mattered and affected the story. The cinematography is stunning, some shots look like it came from Thai Indie films which again I've never see in Thai GLs. The show also used the OSTs to tell the characters' thoughts and struggles which is never seen in a GL usually the OST is just a cutesy bop.

Good concept, poor execution

Some eps are good while others are boring. The FL and yeo seonok were draining. Kwang Soo is good. Woogy is so cute. Woogy is the absolute best thing about the drama.

We're all trying here!!

A more apt title I'm yet to see.
A story with no protagonists and antagonists except life, it makes one think perhaps there's really no winning against life, just winning against moments rather.
It had an incredible cast, seemingly effortless acting that moved us to smiles and tears at the same time.
A story that makes on question the brevity and seriousness of life, honestly, why do we live so hard as if we'd never disappear?
A friendship like no other, not conventional but real brotherhood.
To all of us Hwang dong mans, may wel learn to just be human 'beings' and not human 'doings'.

Well, it's a great escape movie, very action-packed. The original idea was great, and the execution was as expected from an escape movie. There was a mixture of comedy, even though it was mostly actions. The story has a lot of plot armours. Two main leads pulled ridiculous moves and survived multiple times. However thanks to the good directing, they were able to cover it up and it was really thrilling. Jo Jung Suk did really well here, outshining everyone including YoonA. She didn't look like a female lead at all here, I must say. He even had a better backstory while YoonA's character didn't get at all. The storyline was missing the part why they both stopped climbing in the first place. I didn't get why they kept running with gas mask on when there wasn't any gas around, even when knowing the mask was limited. On the other hand, the visual effects team had done well here.

Overall it's a good show to watch if you're seeking an action-packed story.

Interesting Concept

I Hear Your Voice had a really interesting concept with Park Soo Ha being able to read minds, and honestly that was one of the main reasons I stayed invested in the drama. I'm not usually into supernatural dramas, but the concept here was interesting enough to keep me watching. The execution was decent for the most part, especially during the suspenseful moments where his ability actually added tension and emotional weight to the story. The mystery surrounding the drama was intriguing too, and it kept the plot moving even when the writing started to feel weak.

That said, the script itself wasn't very strong. Some plot points became overly dramatic and repetitive, and there were moments where the story relied too much on convenient situations instead of natural development. The biggest strength of the show was definitely the chemistry between Lee Jong Suk and Lee Bo Young. Their dynamic felt natural, emotional, and believable enough to carry a lot of the weaker writing.

Heirs Was Carried by Kim Woo Bin

Heirs had a terrible script and honestly the only reason I kept watching was for Kim Woo Bin's performance. He brought more charisma and emotional depth than the actual storyline deserved. Every time he was on screen, the drama became more interesting, which says a lot considering he wasn't even the main lead.

The biggest problem with the drama is that most of the characters had nothing to offer outside of the romance. Their personalities, motivations, and development all revolved around who they liked or who liked them back. Once you remove the romance aspect, there's barely anything left to connect to. A lot of the characters felt shallow and repetitive, especially when the drama kept forcing emotional moments that didn't feel earned.

The writing relied heavily on clichés, dragged out misunderstandings, and overly dramatic dialogue that made it hard to take certain scenes seriously. Even the central romance wasn't compelling enough to carry the story. The show had a strong cast and high production value, but the script wasted most of its potential.
