I finally got to finish this series after more than two tries. There was something about the vibe or the script in the first four episodes that kept me from engaging with the story. Although I loved the high quality and EmiBonnie's natural beauty and chemistry, I originally had to drop it.

Now that I have completed it, I feel the series could have been better. While I was totally immersed in the plot, Nene's constant "I want to destroy their happiness" attitude—specifically targeting Khem's kids when they were clearly already unhappy—was very irritating. Instead of making a logical, more impactful move, she chose to break emotional bonds. This didn't make her character enjoyable at all; she was just as bad as Khem.

Pam agreeing with Nene's revenge plan without insisting on knowing Nene's backstory felt diabolical. Even if Pam wanted revenge, she should have known better. Furthermore, the fact that Dokrak easily forgave—or rather, accepted—Pam was another breaking point for me.

On a positive note, I totally LOVED View as Oat. I really wanted to see more of OatNene. Mim slayed her role, too; I think this cold look suits her much better than a sweet or lovely one.

Kawi is a character with so much emotional baggage; he seriously needs a long break from the family drama. For some reason, I actually disliked Orn more than Khem. She lets her husband have mistresses and is perfectly fine with it as long as her reputation isn't damaged. What kind of mother is that?! She needed her 19 or 20-year-old kid, Rak, to grow up and point out how disgusting and shameful her husband's actions were and how the other mistresses' children were being treated badly. Oof!

In the end, despite how much I loved the chemistry, something about the vibe and overall style of the series prevented me from fully enjoying it as entertainment.

My willingness suspension of disbelief refused to bend the knee hence it was a disaster watch for me

It all started when the
1. The Lion Roar Tiger Gang Bang kept appearing in public and escaping with guards running two inches behind them in slow mo, fgs it was ridiculous. I disconnected every single time, I know why it's like that plotwise but the disconnect was instant everytime. Plot fault.
2. That Shen Zhishu has a total of three expressions, it reached a point where I knew the face he was going to make even before he made it and was never disappointed. I think I've seen this guy somewhere before and his acting and stylish in this drama is the same from the last place I saw him, directors fault.
3. Tinghui getting drugs shoved in her face at the edge of that clip was unbelievable, and Huang Bo going the way he did and the chief surviving that fall only to be stabbed the way he did had me asking Google if I was missing glasses for TV, cause a lot of what I was seeing wasn't making sense, eh. Because Huang Bo was tattered and Almighty Gang Bang Chief turned out okay, I know I know cliff Falls are the way they are but nah...it didn't work here. Plot fault.
4. See that Right Counselor, every single time he showed up on screen, all I could see were his eyes that always looked like they were swimming in liquid and there's something on his throat! Like he has 2 Adam apples but the other one gave up coming out halfway, I nearly whipped out my magnifying glass just to be sure.
This has taught me a lesson, I'm never going to watch another drama if my willing suspension refuse to bend the knee again, I'll just drop it and respect myself and the screw.
Although this was a fail with me, it's a solid 8 nonetheless in terms of cinematography, costumes, set, fight choreography but some of the characters were straight up butchered, that Meng Tinghui would talk tough and then get squared by some random hooligan that kidnaps her every other episode, she just couldn't choose a struggle most times, phew. That suspension of disbelief is really underestimated y'all.

interesting cute drama, def filmed couple years ago.

this was cute, I really don't have any complaints other than the sounds not matching. the worms towards the end were hilarious, it was way too cartoony. but all in all it was a very cute drama but the ending kinda drove me nuts, it was filmed a couple years ago, so there being a second season, I kinda doubt. hopefully I'm wrong because that was a massive cliffhanger, I feel like it could have just ended with them being happy (I liked the couple but Shisi was my fav even if he had motives lol) but they had to end it with the bad that that I thought died, to only show up at the end and bringing back some chick that looked like the fl for her to say some lines all evil like and then it cuts off. and what's weird is after fl saved ml (he didn't care that she may die? he didn't say a word lmao) they're back at palace and he said she is asleep for them to cut it to the bad guy and chick ending. and what about the emporer?! like if they don't have a second season, I would stop watching around ep 18 or so. so other then that wacky ending and the cartoony worms, it was a cute drama that I enjoyed for a time waste. so other then that wacky ending and the cartoony worms, it was a cute drama that I enjoyed.

This is hands down one of the best shows I have ever watched! The storyline is super engaging, the acting is top-notch, and the music gives absolute chills. I've watched all 40 episodes and I am totally hooked. I genuinely cannot wait for the next episode to release. A solid 10/10 from my side! I need more

While this was airing I never actually got the motivation to watch it. I'm not sure why but I kept on delaying it. Anyways, after watching it I regret not watching it while it's airing. This was extremely funny and just super cute. It wasn't that angsty which I also appreciated given that I wasn't really in the mood for angst. And uhh my biggest motivation may have been Tui... perhaps. Anyways, I enjoyed it extremely much and I really hope this will get an extra part.

So if I'm honest, I'm not familiar with TayNew at all. They're one of the only gmmtv pairs (aside from the new pairs) that I am not updated about. Like yes, I watched all of their series but I never really felt the need to know more about them. This series made me change my opinion on that and I just love their visuals together. They actually looked perfect for this series and I'm afraid I became obsessed with Tay.

I remember being confused when watching this on the actors part. I am a huge fan of Lykn, even before their debut and they're my main group but my stupid ass thought this was the series that Hong and Nut played in. When I saw Tui I was like freaking out because he is my bias and I just love him so much. I then found out I got confused between a dog and a plane and Twenty One. Anyways, I am really glad the other members of Lykn are also in series so they have more opportunities. I really enjoyed Tui's acting and he reminded me of JJ and AJ Chayakorn with the third wheeling. This is my first drama ever seeing MondRye as a pair!! I really like them and I am already quite familiar with Mond Tanutchai but not with Ryu Phudtripart. Their acting was amazing and they beter get a main series!! Actually, I saw Ryu as New Year in Ossan's love story and I think it's clear in my review that I love Ossans love story.

The ost's are soooo cute and I love them!! I didn't really like Fly with me free my heart at first but it lowkey became my favourite song. I also really enjoyed Rescue You (กู้ภัยกู้ใจ) and No Reason (รักไม่มีเหตุผล). Also the way they added songs from like Ossan's love Thailand and other iconic songs is amazing. But I am specifically just rlly happy about the songs from Ossan's love because out of all Gmmtv songs they're my favs. And this is also a nice opportunity to give Tui another solo which he really deserved!!

I'm desperate for a new our sky and I need this to have like a special episode. More because the story ended a bit tooo open. And I'm honestly just really curious how their future looks like because in my opinion the last episode kinda lacked aside from them being married yk? Like I remember them mentioning wanting to adopt or get a child later. I still think the ending is good when you compare it to other drama's.

I don't get why the dad would not agree Toto because of his job. Toto's work is medical right? That's what a lot of parents really like. It just made no sense to me. Sure it was a medical team for the airport but still. Also, why did Kanit not tell the truth of his ex boyfriend indeed being a pilot?? This part just got me confused.

Overall, this was really funny and cute. Maybe the ending was a bit to rushed and I would love to see like a special episode, but I doubt we'll get that lol. The humour in here is amazing and the main reason of my high review. It's just too funny and not cringy. The first episode just starts of with the weirdest shit ever but it gets super original. I have laughed so much. Some parts in the series made me a bit confused but the acting and story is over all amazing. I know a lot of people criticised A dog and a plane but I loved it!!

Both participants have met beforehand with a relationship expert on communication, behaviour to equip them to succeed on identifying attraction and barriers to making a commitment.

The date is compiled from the participants. Full day, meaningful conversations, holding hands while walking to locations required, sleeping in the same bed overnight.

Next morning the blind date's decision to continue on their journey with explanation. together or separately.

The show follows up, one month later with interviews of both individuals, family, friends that participated for lessons learned.

My First Hong Kong BL and What an Epic Premiere. Ash Has Action, Romance, Crime and Insane Chemistry

I grew up watching Hong Kong 🇭🇰 TVB dramas throughout my childhood, so I have always had a special attachment to Hong Kong dramas. When Ash was announced, I was incredibly excited because this is my first Hong Kong BL, and after watching first 3 episodes, I can confidently say this drama has exceeded my expectations. You can watch Ash on Youku or YouTube, with Episode 1 available for free. And despite the “Miniseries” tag, this definitely does not feel like a typical miniseries. Episode 1 is around 50 minutes, Episode 2 is around 45 minutes and Episode 3 is 43 minsutes, so we are getting a proper full length viewing experience.

And WOW, what an epic premiere! I already had a feeling Ash was going to be good after watching the trailer, but the first five episodes completely sold me. This drama gives us action, crime, romance, police investigation, undercover work, fighting, suspense and intense chemistry all in one package. We have Hui Leuk Tou, our CEO, and our undercover police officer. During his undercover operation, the police officer goes by Cheung Wai Keung, complete with his dyed hair and completely different appearance. Once the operation is over and he returns to his life as a police officer, he takes on the identity of Fei Foon. I LOVE this dynamic because it genuinely feels like we are watching two different versions of the same character. The change in appearance, personality and circumstances makes his character so much more interesting.

And then he meets Hui Leuk Tou. Their first encounter, especially the moment their eyes meet, immediately gave me love at first sight vibes. Their fighting scene together was also SO good. The action was well done, and I already knew these two were going to have incredible chemistry. Then we got the white singlets, and that scene alone deserves its own review. 😂 The chemistry between them was so hot and intense, especially when they were taking care of each other’s wounds. The slow romantic music playing in the background made everything feel even more intimate and sensual. And when they lit each other’s cigarettes? THE EYE CONTACT. THE TENSION. THE CHEMISTRY. I also love that this drama does not waste time dragging out the romance. Within the first 30 minutes, we already get an intimate moment and a kiss. There is no endless waiting around or unnecessary dancing around their attraction. The drama knows exactly what we came here for and gives it to us. And that intimate scene with the belt? WOW. The restraints, the kiss, the music and the chemistry all came together so well. It was intense without feeling disconnected from the story.

One of my favourite emotional moments was when they had been missing each other and finally reunited in the alley. I also love how the drama plays with perspective. At the end of Episode 1, we see the events from Hui Leuk Tou’s perspective, and then Episode 2 begins by showing things from Fei Foon’s point of view. That was such a clever choice because we get to understand what both men were experiencing and feeling rather than simply following one side of the story. The flashbacks also work really well and gradually give us more context about their relationship and everything happening around them.

One thing that made me especially happy is hearing both leads speak fluent Cantonese throughout the drama. They are Hong Kong actors and the series was actually filmed in Hong Kong, so seeing the familiar buildings, taxis and streets immediately gave me that nostalgic Hong Kong drama feeling. 🇭🇰 There is something so satisfying about watching a BL that genuinely feels connected to its setting. The Cantonese dialogue makes the interactions feel so much more natural, especially because the actors are using their real voices. Unlike Sammy’s Children’s Day, where the actors’ voices were dubbed, Ash lets us hear the leads speaking in their own voices, which makes the performances feel more authentic and natural to me.

Both actors are absolutely stunning. This is my first time watching Kingston act, and I was pleasantly surprised to learn that he grew up in the UK and Canada while being fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. Pairing him with Leo Peng, who is also a model and actor, was such a good choice. They look incredible together, and their chemistry is already one of the biggest highlights of the series for me. They have the looks, the acting ability and, most importantly, the chemistry.

It is honestly so difficult to find a BL that manages to combine intense kissing scenes with a genuinely interesting plot, good action sequences, fighting, crime, thriller elements and police investigation. Ash is ticking every single box for me. The story is not simply about two men falling in love. There are secrets, dangerous connections, an undercover operation and a much bigger criminal situation unfolding around them. The deeper they get involved, the more complicated their relationship becomes, and that is exactly the kind of BL I love. I want romance, but I also want an actual story that keeps me invested between the romantic scenes.

And we can talk about episode 3? The hair washing, the forehead kisses, the soft cuddles, the sleepy good mornings, the kitchen hugs, grapes fed from one hand to another, white singlets and stolen kisses on the sofa.
Every little moment feels like a love poem, so warm and intimate, like they have already built a little life together.
And then they kissed for so long their sausages got burnt 🥵They are ridiculously hot, ridiculously cute, and so effortlessly married. I could watch hours of them and still never get enough.

If I had to mention one criticism, it is the use of Anime AI in the flashback. Yes, I agree it would have been better to use real actors, but it was less than two minutes and honestly did not take away from my enjoyment of the series. The plot, chemistry, acting and overall production are far more important to me, and this series delivers on all of those. It may also have been a budget decision, and I would rather have a short anime flashback and still get the show than not have the show at all. Plus, this was not Kingston and LeoPeng's decision, so I would hate to see people dropping their ratings over a couple of minutes when these actors worked so hard to bring this story to life.

After five episodes, Ash has already exceeded my expectations. It has everything I want from a BL: intense chemistry, gorgeous leads, passionate kissing, romance, action, crime, suspense, undercover police work, fighting and an actual plot that makes me want to know what happens next. Most importantly, it finally gives me something I have been wanting for a long time: a Hong Kong BL that actually feels like a Hong Kong drama. The Cantonese, the locations, the atmosphere, the action and the overall style make this such a refreshing watch.

And those two leads? I am already completely invested in them. Ash gets a 10/10 from me after the first five episodes. If you enjoy BLs with strong chemistry, intense romance, action, crime, undercover police work and a more mature atmosphere, PLEASE add this to your watchlist.
