i ccsntttt wathchhh thjs pls stoppp

i’ve only seen one other zhang miao yi drama which was “when i fly towards you” and that was one of if not my fav romance drama of all time. something about miao yi is so comforting and she just makes you immediately more happy when watching her dramas. her acting is so brilliant and she pulls off the coming of age romance genre like no one else can!!!! i genuinely don’t know how to put into words how talented she is, i think i’m in love! she’s cutie pie #1!!!

and for this being juns first acting gig in a while he ACTED. he’s an ACTOR. knowing how he acts with svt and how he is with fans compared to how he is in this drama threw me for a loop. i think i was just so used to him being goofy and silly that seeing him be this serious “i hate everyone but you” guy was crazy. but i really do think he pulled it off. it was so worth it waiting for like 500 years for this drama to come out. and as the show went on you could genuinely feel the progression and development of his character. him and miao yi together is genuinely one of the best pairings that could have happened. their chemistry was insane and felt so natural.
the only thing i would say was that there was a bit of an abrupt change between like complete childhood friends to like dating and in love but i guess it makes sense with the progression of juns feelings, so it like didn’t ruin things for me obviously i just wish we got to see more of the in between on friends to lovers…almost like “flirting” or like tension ig.
but the build up was absolutely perfect and everything about the romance was so so cute and sweet, and im glad we got a bunch of episodes of them like actually being a couple couple cause sometimes the leads will like get into a relationship, have like one cute scene, and then it’ll end, but we were spoiled with them in this!!!

and the “i’ll remember your temperature” line from juan juan in ep
18….bitch if that isn’t the most romantic thing i’ve ever heard like i got heat flashes that was the craziest thing ever said. i’ve never heard something so romantic before…and it was such a quick line they just kinda moved on…I CANT MOVE ON. ILL REMEMBER YOUR TEMPERATURE??? BITCH WHO SAYS THAT??!!? let’s make out rn.

i also don’t really cry while watching shows that often but something about cdramas showing graduations and having nostalgic school montage with the voice over saying “hmmm i’m really gonna miss this place” makes me cry so hard that somehow i end up on the floor.

jisoo i get you!!!!!!!!

i know that every new kdrama can’t be my favorite but this was so good i want to rip my eyes out.

shin hye sun was such a standout like she ACTED. and i absolutely love love love ha yoon kyung i don’t think anyone could have played cho won like her, like she cries like no one else omg. this was also my first ahn bo hyun drama and i was eeekkking and ahhhing half the time he was on screen. can he pls get type casted from this more cause he played the “emo sad boy don’t touch me but i love you i’ll protect you i’m shy but strong cute boy” guy a little too well. i want cha chung hwa in every show, movie, piece of media, even in my house giving me life advice. i want her to be my mom she is so fabulous. this also wasn’t a drama or character that i ever expected chae min to play, he just always gave me that school boy vibe but he stuck out so much in every scene he was in. gave me a silly little surprise seeing him in here and i will admit seeing him so serious all the time gave me a giggle

it has all the beats of a regular kdrama, so while a little bit predictable, it’s one of those shows where it doesn’t really matter, if that makes sense. the four main characters’ stories made them so loveable and so relatable (maybe except for the second love interest guy he kinda got on my nerves) it touches on grief in a very different and almost healing way than other things i’ve seen. and although it’s very easy to sympathy with seo ha and cho won, ji eums story and her pain stuck with me so much and was such a big part of why i felt like this show touched on reincarnation and different lives in such a calming way. it just felt refreshing.

the first 8 episodes were perfect and so so comforting and it’s not that the other four weren’t it’s just that i think it fell into the big kdrama ending trap. i kinda wanted more from the big reveal of ji eums first life. i was so excited the whole time to figure out what happened and then when it was revealed it was a bit anticlimactic, but still so so fun none the less. It also kinda was in the middle of being dragged out and too fast so it felt a little weird the last two episodes, so while the first 8 episodes were very romance heavy the last could were very like actiony and serious so it was a bit jarring. But i also think it’s hard for shows like these to balance the thriller action plot and the romance plot. but even tho it has those faults it was still absolutely amazing

the main couple was the cutest thing i’ve ever seen, i screamed, i cried, i jumped, i had to pause so many times just out of pure butterflies. the build up was absolutely perfect and i think i started talking to my screen pretending j was with them at some points. the second couple had me giggle so much as well which i didn’t think i would, and i think it had a lot to do with cho won. the way she acted and her lines just really made their romance feel like a 2018 kdrama. the guy kinda……was definitely a guy but i think by the end he redeemed himself and i was too focused on cho won half the time so ehhhh idc. all the relationships had so many sparks to them even the platonic ones which just made me fall in love with them even more.

I liked it

I didn’t know this pop group. But I will listen to their music now. So many reviews have said how bad the acting was but I think they did a great job. I agree, their English was bad. But I thought they pulled it off great using all members of the group in drastically different roles. And, yes, Nine is beautiful.

I would have liked at least one episode after their confessions. The ending kind of left me a little unsatisfied. But I enjoyed this short series and was thoroughly entertained.

Another Surprise

I placed spoilers at the end of this review.

Warning: There is slight disconnect between the marketing and the actual content of this series. However, this was a good thing (for me at least). The official trailer and show description suggested this was going to be mostly a very light and fluffy romcom, but had a nice amount of drama too. That being said, this series had a more interesting storyline that I anticipated.

The positive: The script is not perfect, but it was entertaining and not too predictable. They did a good job explaining the past history of Yi and Diao’s friendship and family relationship. Although there is one to many storylines for an 8-episode series, they did a nice job layering them and didn’t leave any loose ends. The cast was great and did a great job with what they were given considering some of the flaws with the script. I also like how supportive Yi’s father was with Diao. Overall, the cinematography, special effects, and CGI was good.

The negative: The main problem was the story continuity from the previous series (Cutie Pie) involving how Diao lost his childhood memories. The new storyline was a little far-fetch, but at least it was interesting. Even though it was a drastic difference, this was only a minor problem for me. The script had a lot of comedy that seemed missed placed and not very funny. There was also the random introduction of side characters in the middle of episode 6. Although the product placement was subtle, it still became annoying at times.

Random Notes:

Once again, I was pleasantly surprised because I was not a fan of Yi and Diao’s storyline in Cutie Pie. I liked their backstory in this series. You don’t have to watch Cutie Pie before you see this. They did a great job at making this a standalone series.

Interesting that they were able to get the same child actors from Cutie Pie, but not the same dog.

I thought it was hilarious that the dog was dressed like Chucky from Child’s Play in episode 3.

******Spoiler Alert******

The consistence problem with how Diao lost his memory made Yi and Diao’s storyline in Cutie Pie make no sense.

I was worried that Yi’s only reason for faking his amnesia was to try and win Diao back and happy that it wasn’t. It was part of it, but it was not the main reason.

Don't trust anyone

Wasted potential with this bro. I am going to average it and go based on my reviews, and I am going to try to be nice, but its probably going to end in me flaming this show. The average is 8.31 stars out of 10. I rounded it down to 8, but I will probably make it a 7.5 because it wasn't that good, but I will cut it some slack because I can. Everything is probably not grammatically correct, but whatever. i am taking a nap

I was laughing my ass off at Hia Yi getting flipped over in the car because you could see him flip with it, and I was going to hell for laughing, but I had to pause. I was laughing so hard, bro. We are finally getting the long-awaited backstory that I had been waiting for since cutie pire, bro. Hopefully the show continues to have fast-paced but information-packed episodes with a hint of sexual tension and jokes and is just over all lighthearted with that same sort of dark undertone. This should be fun. It was not fun. It was birthing and confusing, but some parts went crazy.

I could end my review right here, but I am going to keep going because I hate myself. We got a lot more information dumped on us; it was almost like they were trying to smash it into 8 episodes. There were plot holes and a lot of lying. And besides the car getting fucked, there are a lot of real relationship problems. Like lying, bro, that is such a problem, and even after they say they won't, they do it again. That's one thing the show did right. The lying brother If I were Diao, I would not want to know any of this stuff, from the tiger stuff to my own family rigging my car. I feel like that would just stress me out if I were him, bro. I was making predictions about the uncle, and I was right on those, so go me. I was right about Makorn, or whatever Yi's sexiest ass dad's name was, not rigging the breaks of the car. We weren't really getting a lot of Hia Yi and Diao at first; there was a lot of focus on their whole world and not really them. It was getting on my nerves. They need to get Yi some damn counseling. He acts the way he does because this poor kid got fucking transmuted. And blames himself, and he was so fucking young. that's crazy. Good for them for using that fake ass tiger, bro. They are using real animals in some of these Thai dramas, and just the idea of those animals around those young kids is just no.

Who let Lian cook with all these damn lies? The whole thing with Yi milking his amnesia to prove to Diao that he loves him just proves my point of this show and the main characters fucking lying to each other all the damn time because they want to see them happy. Yeah, wait till the lies eat your ass, bro. Yi is going to get his cover blown either by himself or Lian because Lian tells his man everything. Diao is eating up every second of the affection Yi is giving him, and it's good for him, to be honest. I would feel betrayed if I were him for lying to me like this, but at the same time, he is still the same, but he just wants to love on me to prove himself, and I would gush over that. So true me on the 17th of September. The whole lying thing was definitely a theme in this, is all I have to say.

Yi and Diao are literally just tramuatized kids who grew up. It was so good acting around that part. That random ass single dad, who was very sexy, might I add, is going to be a problem with him not taking no for an answer. Diao is going to be used as a pawn, like in the never let me go kind of vibes with the signing away everything so he doesn't get hurt. I got really involved with Yi's outburst and just broke down. I feel like they really got closer in that scene, and I think it was actually really well done.

I was really suspicious about Aon being a terrorist. but he wasn't. I am sorry, you are so sexy. I got scared, bro. I feel really bad for Diao. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t trust anybody, bro. It’s crazy. Yi needs to tell Diao everything; they are the only thing each other has, bro. If they had more communication, none of this would have happened. LIyterally. The car accident would not have caused the memory loss, but at the same time, the chens would have already been used by the Diaos family, so I don't know. I am on the fence.

They are doing a lot of plot building for a show that is ending in two episodes. They are trying to shove in as much as possible because of the plot dumpster ass that the first two episodes had with the whole amnesia shit because Diao's family is trying to kill him for Yi's money. We do not need another runaway bride; we already had one with Kuea and Lian. I beg they better not do that to our boys, and then we just get one medical ending. This show is definitely going to get a medical ending, and I don't want to manifest that, but by the way, they haven't wrapped up the plot yet, so we are going to get a medical ending, sadly. That's it. And this took me forever to complete. The sex scene was banger; it felt so natural. They tried really hard to save the sumpster fire plot with cute moments and some moments with good acting. But it could not save the plot, sadly.

There is too much investment and not enough love from our main couple, bro. Mad annoying.

This is my first time ever finishing a show on time. Sure, I watched four episodes this week, but I finished them on time, and that's all that matters. I would have finished this earlier in the day, but it wasn't out of Iqiyi yet, so I was witting. Was it a 10 out of 10 ending? No. Did I give it a 10 out of 10 because I am easily persuaded by cute kids? Yes, yes, I did. I have no shame. Could the final sex scene save the thriller plot? almost. I would not be mad if they milked these two and their cute ass kids for a spical episode. I would not be mad at all. If only this didn't have a memory loss plot, it would have been 10 times better. Good evening, ass show. Thats it. I would not recommend it. Its not that good, but do what you want, don't listen to someone on the internet, or make your own choice. That's it. okay bye!

maybe you will need some patience...

Destined With You was saved by the chemistry of the main couple. as this is a romance drama I was expecting that this would happen, but I didn't thought only the romance could carry this drama for so long.

in my opinion, the story is really weak, filled with plot holes and unnecessary fillers. the lack of strong support characters and of a solid background for the couple really bothered me, like only the two of them existed in the drama at all! the colleagues of Hongjo are so annoying and didn't add anything to the story, and the same happened with Shinyu's parents, whose relationship were so poorly written. the second lead didn't played a big part at all in the story and also bothered me a lot throughout the drama... I think that character development is one of the most important things a drama needs to have, and in the case of Destined With You it was almost like it wasn't really there.

the comedy scenes were not really helpful with the drama pace at all and this drama almost needs to be cooked 😂 you have to wait quite some episodes for the story to flow and to be a little more interesting.

but even with the bad points I made, the drama is really entertaining and cute! the photography is beautiful and it might be worth it for you if you're really into romance and is interested somehow in the main cast. Jo Boah and Rowoon had great chemistry and their acting is so good here! I really want to see them work together again!

overall, this is a weak drama for me, but with some potential to be a cute and fun watch with a little patience. I don't usually rewatch shows, but even if I did, it would not be the case here.

I cant stand it

I started watching this drama when it was airing, I'm a big fan of the saga "School", so I was so exited about this drama, but at that time I couldn't finish it because it was so frustrate for me since episode 1. Of course when I decided to drop it I didn't know Sejeong was there (either Roowon) so, yesterday I decided to give it another chance and idk if it's 'cause I'm 25 years old, maybe I'm too old for this kind of dramas, (wich it can't be, cause when I watched it for the first time I was 18, their age and i didn't like it either) but I can't stand it anymore.

Sejeong's character got me on my nerves, I think she is WAY SO dumb and the fact she was always on the way it's ridiculous. I mean anything bad situation that was happening she was there and was acused unfairly. Also I hated professors, they were so corrupt that got me on my nerves too (maybe more that sejeong's character)

Sweet and loving

This series was a lot of fun, I enjoyed the leads and the chemistry between all of the characters. They were really good together. The series brings you through a whole lot of emotions. Laughter, sadness, hurt, loss, and love. The emotions were there and had you on an adventure of finding love no matter the gender. There were so many beautiful moments. The one down part was the series is short with only a few episodes but it did tell the story greatly. Just made you wish for more. the leads were my favorite in sharing a love of every lasting from childhood to adult with a great supporting cast. Wish there did a bit of a better ending with showed what happened over time but it was all touching.

best kdrama

i’ve never gotten so attached to characters in just 8 episodes but i love si eun and soo ho so so much. every episode is so sickening but in the best way possible. the build up to every single fight was excruciating but i loved it. i usually hate the bully story lines in k dramas but it was used in such a different and actually interesting way in this show.

i absolutely loved all three main characters at first, including bum seok, and then his character flip happened and i tried to just think that he’s mad at his father and taking it out on his friends but you really cant use that to justify his actions by the end. by the last episode i don’t think anything could have made me genuinely feel sorry for bum seok. (also up until like episode 6 i thought the reason that beom seok was mad was that he was gay and had a big crush on soo ho…………was definitely proven wrong)

by the seventh episode you could kind of tell where it would go just by the build up of it but i don’t think anything could have prepared me for seeing that fight. i stand by the fact that soo ho did absolutely nothing wrong, bum seok was just so insecure with himself that he took it out on someone who wasn’t.  soo ho i love you.

si eun was an amazing friend from the very beginning. he always cared about the other two no matter what and did selfless things to be a good friend and not to look like a good friend like bum seok. i love love love how they told his story. it felt cohesive and no matter how attached i got to someone else it really always felt like i was watching in his pov which i rly appreciate.

one of the best shows i’ve seen. the highs were rly high and some parts made me so happy but the lows were rly really low…………

also shin seung-ho call me

A Playful Finale to a Captivating Journey

"Naughty Babe" provides a captivating conclusion to Khondiao and Yi's journey, which began in the "Cutie Pie" series. With only 8 episodes, the series feels a bit too short, especially considering how relatable the characters are and how much viewers might want to see more of them. There was a clear opportunity to delve into Khondiao's family affairs, particularly their plan to take down the Chen family.

The series primarily revolves around the evolving relationship between Khondiao and Yi. Khondiao believes that Yi has lost interest in him and is seeking pleasure elsewhere. Heartbroken, he decides to leave for Switzerland, but a twist of fate occurs when Yi has an accident and loses his memory.

The plot takes a sharp turn from a romantic comedy to a mystery. Viewers are offered a glimpse into Khondiao and Yi's childhoods, their past traumas, and the reasons behind Khondiao's memory loss. Furthermore, a larger, more intricate plot involving Khondiao's family emerges, revolving around their pursuit of money and property from the Chen family. Fed up with being used by his family to manipulate and harm the Chen family, Khondiao and his friends hatch a plan to resolve the issue for good. What ensues is a comical cat-and-mouse game between Khondiao and Yi.

Credit is due to the series' creators for managing to keep the tone as light-hearted as possible, even in the midst of darker themes such as attempted murder and blackmail. The actors Max and Not deliver exceptional performances, and their on-screen chemistry is unquestionably a highlight.

However, there are several plotlines left unfinished. Notably, Khondiao's uncle's ultimate plan remains undisclosed, and the character of Chen, who could have served as one of the antagonists, disappears without a resolution. Perhaps a full 12-episode series would have allowed for a more comprehensive exploration of all the introduced plot points.

In conclusion, "Naughty Babe" is an enjoyable watch and a fitting conclusion to Khondiao and Yi's storyline. The series excels as a light-hearted comedy, offering numerous swoon-worthy moments for all.

Painful to watch as a k-celeb fan

Doona gives you a glimpse of the harsh realities that idols and celebrities face as a consequence of fame.
It was really painful, can't help but imagine the idols I've been following in order to keep me happy, are merely treated as pawns and products by their agencies. That in the process, they lose themselves and just tolerate this treatment just to keep them afloat.

The series was sad, real, and somber, but it also plants a seed of hope that everything will be alright as long as you chase happiness.

The relationships depicted were 10/10. Their dialogues, for being so raw and uncurared, 100/10. Chemistry? 1000/10!!!
What a great comeback for both Yang Se Jong and Suzy in the small screen. OST and scoring was also very good. Cinematography and production design was also.veryyy good.

Overall, what a great binge-worthy series. Finished all the 9episodes in one day.

P.S. I thank Suzy for accepting this project. It was a bit hard for a SayA to watch her seemingly reenacting what MissA's relationship was like behind the scenes.
