Wonderful drama

This drama is really wonderful. You feel that you are in a roller coaster ride of emotions. I love the characters of ML and FL and also you will feel the love of both actors. As they are really in loved with each others. I really feel the sweetness of ML and FL. Their crying scenes especially Cheng Yi, when he cries you will truly feel his emotions and cried with him too. I really love Chinese Drama because there are always lessons that you can learn when watching. Like these one. If someone makes mistakes there are reasons why do people do those things. There is something that triggers them why they do that. You will understand them and forgive and move on. I highly recommend this drama. I watch these a couple of times already especially if there are no new episodes I binge watched them. I truly love this wonderful drama. Kudos to all the actors and actresses. ❤️

akfjkajsjs i liked it but.. i didnt like the last 2eps bc i feel like the 2eps were crushed and didnt show any flashback like i wonder what happend to seonwoo's mother like is she alive or what??(she's probably dead lol) and i think the ep16 is just a waste of time they should've ended the drama at ep15?and the police r so useless and the detective & yebun didnt have any chemistry at all tbh i feel like they forced the romance for ppl who likes romance or for fanservice lol so overall 7/10✨️

Mr.Queen = The Best Drama Ever

Mr. Queen was so good. I don't know how it's legal to make a so good k-drama? while i was watching i laughed, cried, and cheered. it's one of the funniest k-dramas I've ever watched. i want to loose my memory to watch it again? it's also good for people who likes good endings.♡
The cast that played in Mr.queen is litterly the perfect cast for this story and acting. it's one of my top 3 favorite k-dramas. I really recommend and it's a must watch for people who like Comedy, Drama, good endings and the feeling of excitement♡

I wasnt expecting much from drama but it was a really nice easy watch the story was good and both the ml and fl were great. the only annoying thi g was that the episodes were only 10 mins long fab show will definately watch other shows with this ml and fl in it as they had great chemistry and made the show watchable. this is the first short episode drama i have really enjoyed others have been rubbish or very sleazy whichbis not my cup of tea. can anyone suggest similar dramas with this type of storyline please?

The story of a unique friendship

This is the story of a unique friendship between a weird man and a repeating student who is studying for her college entrance exam...
After a hard day l, she decided to take her life from a building rooftop and there she meets a weird man. Somehow he ended up being her math tutor and from there is the start of q new friendship..
The story was breath of a fresh air, really unique and beautiful.
It was about how they ended up finding a different meaning of their life, a motivation to start afresh.
Acting part was good too.
It was good for a light watch.

Surprisingly well written!

Surprisingly, this is a smartly written, well defined adult-themed BL that unfolds from an infatuation to quite literally life partners. I was impressed with how well this series evolved and told a full and complete story. Sure, it had a lot of bumps along the way, and tended to be too much of a Soap Opera in places, but it had heart and grit and frankly never lost its way. It is one of the most solid BLs from Thailand to come along in quite a while. In the end, however, the story did something rarely seen in BLs and almost never in Thai ones. It had a graceful ending eluding to the notion that they were and remain a couple still deeply in love and still happy to be so. They are life partners, if not soulmates in every sense of that term.
You can read my full review of this pretty good series at BLBliss.com.

Loved the Series!!! - Mystic Pop Up Bar

I was exploring this particular genre of "Reap what you sow" and this came in one of the recommended of one of the darker shows I had watched. Honestly, it did not disappoint. I loved it and I am glad that I picked this one. I loved the supernatural elements, the parallel worlds, the tinge of comedy and romance while the main crux of the problem revealed itself after.

There were a lot of things I really enjoyed.

The Story Line
I absolutely loved the story line . It was perfect but yet there was some want left in the end.

I loved how the drama started, pushing us to the past and how the current setting came to be. And i loved how the drama answers the questions the viewers had regarding the past. The concept of getting your grudges fulfilled is already an existing concept but adding a twist of a bar was very interesting.

I love how the backstories were introduced and many of the cases felt very realistic despite the supernatural touch.

Each of the characters were well played and likeness of each character was also well placed. I loved the little family that was beginning to form despite the truth that came in the end. It really felt like destiny played a huge part in their lives.

The moral of the drama was well utilised. That for family/love, we even sacrifice itself and that if it is true, no matter what, we will never regret it. It was very wholesome to see the main characters sacrifice for the sake of loved ones though the whole thing began on a misunderstanding and a very obvious villain.

However, there were a few points that got me a little dissatisfied.

Even though, the story had tied up all its knots well, answering all questions, there was no proper epilogue, showing a happily every after. So the emotion there got cut-short. I would have loved to see the true happiness of Kang Bae with his new found family and girl friend.

Along with that a few of the moments, especially towards the end could be explored. Like what exactly happened to the villain, what is the condition of the villains dad, did kang bae's ability disappear, what about cinnabar now that kang bae is normal. It felt a little messy when tying up the ends. Episode 12 was way too rushed towards the end.

Also I was a bit unhappy of how the villain was built. He felt way too powerful except for when it was really needed and he was defeated in a pathetic way, though i wouldn't really be able to judge that as it was not really shown.

Acting & Cast
When it comes to acting and cast, there is two things I notice majorly.

Are the Actors able to do justice to the characters?
And
Are they able to move the Audience?

All the actors were able to do a really good job and have portrayed there characters very well. I liked the leads and disliked the villain - as it should be. The only part where I would give a slight lower rating is there were moments of slightly cringe acting, maybe to give a comedic effect.

As for were they able to move the audience? Of course, I smiled at parts that were adorable like when Kang bae and cinnabar were exploring their first love. And I teared up towards the end because i hated what a grave situation they ended up in due to a misunderstanding they were in.

Over all, this drama was a really good and worth it watch for me. But I would give it a slightly lower score just for those few areas. I might watch it again if in a mood but not till the end.

P. S - my rating for music is low because there wasnt really any music except for the competition and the karaoke. So it doesnt really count.

If you think Imaginary Cat is a silly fantasy feline, I assure you: The cat is real!

Jong Hyun, an aspiring but struggling webtoon writer, has been loving and caring his sassy cat Bok Ghil for 7 years. Enters Na Woo, a café part-timer who lost her cat long time ago, and she's ambitiously drawn to both Jong Hyun and Bok Gil.

If you think Imaginary Cat is a silly fantasy feline, I assure you: The cat is real! I am surprisingly impressed for the depth within the story, beyond this strange title! This is not a fluffy romcom drama with a cat subplot... More than that, it focuses on Jong Hyun's emotional journey on his career and personal struggles. Him and his cat’s moments propel his character growth, I think the plot is brilliant! There's a romance subplot, but the female lead wasn’t appealing because she’s constantly being so nosy by invading Jong Hyun’s personal space.

Both Yoo Seung Ho and the cat Bok Ghil were connecting with each other so well that I enjoy this drama solely for their chemistry. Their scenes are uniquely shot from a cat person’s perspective. Also, we can hear the cat’s inner thoughts; which I want to thank the screenwriters for writing Bok Ghil scripts awesomely. They did their research on cat's logics and behavior really well. I believe that this story was written by a cat lover, that stay true consistently until the end.

There are several emotional plot twists that had me giggling, crying so hard. I ended up re-watching the whole series after it’s done. I appreciate how the plot is going and how they are portrayed in the story. I would recommend this to any animal lovers. It’s a short watch (8 eps @35 min), so if you want to feel an endearing cat-loving journey, please watch Imaginary Cat.

The guy may try to be good, but the people who cross his path have the worst luck.

I wish more people watched this because there is so much to discuss and joke about in this drama:) The story centers around a security guard at a thermos factory who gets it in his head that if he commits meritorious service he'll be able to score a job with PSB. He's both stubborn and determined but most unluckily creates havoc wherever he goes. He also sets up a lot of events in motion that unfold over the course of the series to often tragic results. I should mention here that the comedy genre is definitely the black and deadly - not the feelgood type.

Other key characters in the story are Hu Ting - Old Shang's nephew, policeman and husband of Lv Ling. Their marriage problems are one of the multiple story threads.
Then we have Shang Jin - Shang's somewhat estranged daughter and the youngest doctor in a county hospital, who tries to investigate mysterious symptoms on patients rumoured to have visited Laoyao Mountain. It's a mysterious place featuring in a lot of town legends that is home to either ghosts, aliens or Japanese gold depending on whom you ask.
There's also Xueqin - a dumplings shop owner, who often acts as a sounding board for Shang's crazy ideas and has a brother who's walking trouble. Not sure why she's listed as a main character. Her storyline and acting are both on the weaker side.
Finally, in the background we have two local "crime lords" battling it out and an out-of-town criminal gang 'tiger brothers' who are one of the most unfortunate to have ever crossed paths with the good guy.

Stylewise the series is a mix of black comedy, crime thriller and life/family drama. There's off and on screen violence and some genuinely tragic moments. A lot of the humour is a miss for me but overall it's engaging fun.

Good Enough

Korean Drama " A Time Called You " is the remake of the Taiwanese drama "Someday or One Day", and somehow it makes it work. It does follow the story closely to the original, but it makes it fit the Korean standards, altering the storyline slightly, but without ruining it.

The drama, first of all, is pretty entertaining, with the main mystery being intriguing and reaching its full climax in the final episodes, which were full of action and twists. The ending, in addition, was just right for the story, bittersweet yes, but appropriate for the story and leaving it up to the viewer to imagine what will come next.

Moreover, the actors and actresses of the cast did a great job with their performances and they handled their characters masterfully.

Finally, the drama managed the fantasy paranormal element smoothly without complicating the story or confusing the viewer.

So, overall, eight and a half out of ten.

Fluffy, comfy and stress-free drama

This is my first time to comment and give a review here in MDL and I'm happy it's about Hidden Love. Here's my two cents.

I haven’t really been INTO Chinese dramas until Hidden Love. I watched a few of them that are really eye catching but it’s very seldom. Hidden Love opened the doors for me to notice other notable C-dramas out there.

SPOILER ALERT!!!
What I love about it?
1. The storyline. Hidden Love mastered the art of portraying the spirits of youthful love, like those heart fluttering feelings when you have a secret crush on someone are SPOT ON. It transported me back to the early days of our relationship with my then boyfriend, now husband of which I can relate to the feelings Sang Zhi felt towards Duan Jiaxu because that’s EXACTLY how I felt towards my BF. Apart from that, I love that there are no evil 2nd leads in the story that would challenge the main leads’ relationship as well as there are no overbearing, overprotective parents/family members. I love how they wrapped up the drama with the best marriage proposal ever. Who wouldn’t melt with this line, “Six words. Only one person in a lifetime.” My tears just keep rolling here together with SZ and DJX.
2. The casts. From the main leads to the supporting casts, all of them did their parts exceptionally well. Kudos to the casting team on finding these actors who brought our beloved characters to life! Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan are the perfect Sang Zhi and Duan Jiaxu, there could be no one other than them. They will forever be immortalized in my system.
3. The OSTs. I think one of the things that made this drama successful are the OSTs played in the series. Seldom do I find a drama where I enjoyed almost all songs included in the official soundtrack. With Hidden Love, all songs felt comfortable to listen to even if I don’t understand the lyrics, the melody are relaxing and sets you in a mood. Zhao Lusi contributed two songs in the OST which I soooo love dearly – “I Just Want To Hide You Secretly” with Silence Wang and “I Have Someone I Like”. Victor Ma who played as Sang Zhi’s brother (Sang Yan) also contributed to the OST with his song “Be Your Light”. I couldn't tell which is my favorite because all of them are just sooo good.
4. The BTS. Their behind-the-scenes interaction can easily become a drama of its own. You can see how happy the atmosphere on set was. If the chemistry of the main leads is already top-notch in the drama, then their BTS is way beyond that which made me pine for them to be a REAL-LIFE couple. They are just sooooo amazing and comfortable with each other.

Hidden Love will forever be my “go to” comfort drama, when I just want to have a relaxing, happy viewing to cap a long, stressful week. As of writing, I am re-watching this series for the third time. And it never disappoints every single time.

The best e-sports themed drama I've ever watched!

I came across TKA as one of Netflix's recommendation. At that time, I am not into Cdrama and I didn't know any of the actors in this series. I just thought the plot is intriguing and the male lead is so handsome, so why not give it a try?

Oh boy, this drama did not disappoint! This is coming from someone who is not a gamer, not an avid Cdrama fan and have zero expectations coming into the series. I haven't read the novel nor watched the anime version as well.

The things I liked about it:
- The plot. It is a story about a pro-gamer who fell from grace and how he bounced back in the game. This kind of plotline has really caught my interest the first time which made me decide to give it a go.
- The CGI. This is the first drama I've seen where real life characters portray the in-game characters as well. I was so amazed by how this was done, not to mention the excellent graphics of the game itself.
- The gaming environment. I have never been into a gaming arena before and this show offered me a glimpse of what it was like during e-sports tournaments.
- Yang Yang. I loved Yang Yang because of this series. Not only is he dead gorgeous but he somehow justified his role as Ye Xui like this character was created with him in mind. There could be no other actor for Ye Xui except him.
- The OST. I suffered severe LSS with Glory Battlefield even though I couldn't understand any of the lyrics. It was recently added to Spotify but during the time I watched the series, I have to stream it in YT and have it on repeat because I just can't get over with it.

I have rewatched this 2x already and mind you, I never skipped nor fast forward any of the 40-episodes with ~40min runtime per episode in each of those viewing. That's how much I loved this series! I think I will be rewatching this in the future just for the thrill of it. Yang Yang and the gang are my type of eye candies that can ease away the stresses of life.

showed improvement, but didn't fill in the gaps

It started off weak and I found the FL insufferable in first few episodes.. she does improve, if only slightly. I'll be honest, I stuck around the beginning and middle for visuals of ML and second ML but as the ML and FL accepted their fate and the chemistry improved, I did enjoy the show more. There are massive plot holes and weird story lines that fall off and pick up out of no where, not to mention extremely annoying "support" characters-I couldve done without the entire work crew????

In the end, I still enjoyed the couple and their growth/ chemistry. It was probably the only reason I didn't drop it. It tries to hit every genre and falls flat for nearly all of them but I still can't say I hated it.

A Beautiful Ryang Um Who's Like a Flower: Layers of His Character

I feel like Ryang Eum's character is interesting. He's complicated. He's definitely a more reliable friend than Eun Ae. But at least Eun Ae could understand the fl better. She even admitted that she understood her better than herself.

Meanwhile Ryang Eum seemed to have unseparable bond with the ml. It looked like there's no one who could understand him better than Ryang Eum but there was a time that Ryang Eum failed to understand. It's his heart. It felt like they didn't share the bro codes only in that particular thing.

"I don't belong to anywhere. I'm just here and there." When the ml said that what he actually meant was that he's longing for a place of his own. A place called home. And his reply with "Right. You don't belong to anywhere. But wherever you're, I belong to your side." It creeped me out.

I don't know what's his real deal was. Was it because of too much loyalty or he saw him more than friends? But I understand why he did what he did. Personally, I can relate to his character. That's why I can say that he's being childish at that moment. I thought he also realized his mistake but he just decided to cross the line.

And he really meant it when he said he didn't regret it. Moreover when he witnessed what happened to the man he looked up to at the end. If I were him, I would be glad if turned out I was wrong. But the look in his eyes, he was so mad that in his mind he's true about her after all.

I understand her decision and it seemed like there's another reason that will unfold in the next part. The writers seemed to have an intention to make it as if she didn't really meant it when she said "I don't love you enough to leave everything behind." Maybe they will provide a good and brutal excuse for us and we will buy it later. Something like "I love you too much that's why I was letting you go." But what makes it clear for me right now is, he gave everything for her, even his life. But she couldn't do the same. That's why to me what she said was quite literal, that 'he loves her more than she loves him' and I think Ryang Eum would be agree with me.

Was he okay when he saw Gil Chae sending him off just like that after what he's been through for her tho? Ryang Eum is not just another supporting character. And his bond with Lee Jong Hyun is too strong for him to let him go like that. Ryang Eum is smart and tactical and sometimes manipulative. Our main lead would have been died several times if it's not because of him. He has the ability to change the direction of the wind. If you know what I mean...

Based on the teasers, it seemed like something happened to the female lead. I wouldn't be surprised if Ryang Eum had anything to do to pull the trigger. Maybe he didn't need to take much effort. He just needed to sing, and it would be like a butterfly effect. When a small flap of its wings might cause a tornado at the mainland and the peninsula.

Or there's a twist of a character development and it's the other way around of what I've said about him. It would be interesting if later turned out I'm wrong. And I'm really anticipating of what they have in store in the next part.

Gets better episode after episode.

I think I have a soft spot for K Dramas and there aren't that many that I find terrible or stop watching, so my review is probably influenced by that but here is goes.

I enjoy the main leads separately, but in the first few episodes them together annoyed me a little bit. The ML's wishy washy I love you because of a spell, but I'm going to be mean to you at the same time personality paired with the FL's it's all about me.. drove me nuts.

However getting in to further episodes when it starts to reveal what's going on and they get past all the nonsense it becomes one of my favorites. They have chemistry and are cute together and their back story brings them alive.

The gardener and obsessed ex-girlfriend storylines further the show.

I really enjoy it. If you bear with them at the beginning and accept it for the cute romantic comedy it is , I think you will enjoy it too.
