Forbidden romance between Master & student

Never really understand why sometimes love between master & student is like forbidden things in the heaven realm. Is it to avoid everyone want to master because of want to fall in love or having relationship with their master...? Or just obstruct the cultivation....? Maybe we must learn Buddhism to understand this...

This drama OK for all the wrong thing I think. Haha... The good thing are the scenery or background & the music, this maybe one of the most pretty Xian Xia I've watch. For the story itself, hmmm... Enough to make me hang till the end, but not so good either. I stop caring for the story from the middle, but still curious enough to watch how everything revealed in the end.

Really like how FallingSlowly88 wrote: "Lets make 15+ episodes of misunderstandings. Lets also make every man obsessed with the main character. Lets also WITHHOLD moments of confession and understandings for the sake of derailing / padding out the story because 'it's not the time'. Lets also not have a single good female for the main character to look up to, or a male who isn't in love with her. The list goes on..."

Haha... Yeah.... This drama have everything messed up. The whole world put the blame on a little girl that have evil aura, all the man that close to her fall in love with her or at least want to protect her, all the female get jealous because of it & want to kill her & to make things more messed up.... The only friend she has & trust, in the end also using her for her own reason.... Sigh.... What a lonely world for this little girl... Haha...

Overall if you want to check this drama I'm not gonna say you can't, but in my opinion kinda such waste of time. Better check other drama that have better story to tell....

Please don't watch it it will truamatice you. The acting and the story i just cannot. And itt is just so fucking toxic and childish, like what the actual fuck. Anyway don't watch it. The sound effects are also so freaking weird. I actually wanted to rate it zero but I can't so don't mind the rating above. Everything above ( in the rating) is supposed to be zero. Thanks for reading this, hope it helps!!😊😊

when to watch season 2

i was complete episode 30 and i think there is a another episode are there or SEASON 2. OR WHATEVER BUT WHEN IT IS START AFTER EPISODE 30.
I LIKE TO WATCH THIS TYPE OF DRAMAS.. STORY IS STRONG BUT FIGHT DIRECTING IS NOT MUCH GOOD IT SHOULD BE BETTER I THINK ..just waiting for update
the production value is low, low budget, random actors/actresses, mediocre acting, etc. But this drama is very fun to watch, and honestly none of those matters compared to plot/story. The director and screenwriter is the original author, so if you like the novel you will definitely like this. The main character here is probably the best and coolest ML ever. Very strong but hides his power until its needed, knows what he wants, definitely not naïve, and is not a lovesick puppy. Simple story, simple writing, but still manages to be very entertaining and funny

TILL WAITING

Excellent Drama

I just finished the drama. This is an excellent suspense drama, which does not have a single moment of calm and quiet. In many moments of anxiety I gnawed my nails, during the various episodes.
All the actors play extremely well, the plot is fascinating and keeps us on the edge in our seats. The plot is full of twists and turns and also surprises.
Standing out from all the actors is the main actor: Lomon, who is absolutely a real sweet candy and I hope to see more dramas in which he is the main star.
I highly recommend watching this drama.

Underrated, Quirky and Heartwarming

I started watching this to pass the time, but this drama surpassed my expectations. It's quirky and has a sad undertone right from the start but it's sweet and heartwarming. At the heart of the show is how to deal with grief and they handled it well. Koichi and Mitchan are so sweet together. You can feel their love through the screen.

The internal monologues, which are something I'm usually not fond of because they can be so cringey, are really well done and felt genuine. I love contrasts between the Koichi and Mitchan's personalities and they really complement each other. Their story progresses naturally and you really see the character development especially Mitchan's.

The timeline at the beginning felt a little odd and the supernatural stuff isn't really explained, but that's not too important. Watch this drama for the characters and the love they have for each other. As someone who doesn't usually like sad endings I must say that it was warranted here and really well done. Any other ending wouldn't have fit the story

Refreshing take on a modern romance

Such a lovely story of a young crush turning into more in adulthood. There is nothing remotely sinister in the childhood portion, as seen from the perspective of a young girl, with the object of her attention having no idea, but just being kind and helpful to her. No ulterior motives by DJX. The adulthood portion is wonderful as feelings start to develop and will ring a bell with so many people when falling in love.
This is a very realistic story about romance, helped by the amazing chemistry between Zhao Lusi and Chen Zheyuan! The smiles, sparkling eyes looking at ech other, they are so beautiful together. Lusi again does that youngster to grown up seamlessly, not just in the way she speaks but in all the physical attributes she brings to playing a youngster. Chen Zheyuan has never looked so attractive as the sly, sexy, foxy DJX, trying to woo SZ when she is grown up and he has fallen for her. Brings alot of emotion to the character as well. Her brother is amazing as well, as is all the other cast. A supportive loving couple ,it is a delight to watch and wish it had gone on longer!

i recommendthis series

This is one of the shows where it can be very subjective for me personally i loved it a lot really! It was heartwarming and overall just gave me so much joy. I love Talay and Puen’s love and it was just a lovely journey to watch them fall for each other more and more. Definitely will rewatch this when i want to watch something sweet. The acting i thought was good and the story was a nice sci-fi story with not much angst which i love. The ads maybe were excessive but it didn’t really bother me. Overall definitely enjoyed it! If you’re a fan of sweetness I recommend this a lot.

best bromance/friendship drama, with a lot of fun

I loved this drama so much ,, the Main leads are amazing ,, they have chemistry together more than the female lead with Rain
Rain and Kim Beom did an amazing job playing their roles ,, every time they show up I smile instantly
not just because of their charm but their characters were like real brothers
I'm not saying it's BL ,, Not at all but there was Brotherly love ,,, pure friendship love for one another and it showed a lot
It's Brotherhood of the best kind ,,they depended on each other in everything literally
And it's not just them ,,, the other ghosts were amazing ,,each one had his own story and his own struggle ,, I wished the writer spent more time exploring the other ghosts lives than wasting time on draggy romance
The start of the drama was really powerful but in the middle the romance became so slow and annoying
they waited for too long to reach the point of mentoring KST ,,, he was used as a vessel most of the time
It got ridiculous when it became all about romance and they forgot the Villain ,, he did nothing but few threats here and there
the plot was too week but had so much potential
it was ruined by romance
but the comedy was good ,, I laughed a lot
it was light not dark
had amazing emotions between the ghosts and their stories
the medical stuff was fun not boring
I recommend it so much because it's enjoyable watch

Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum shine but the romance falls flat

I enjoyed watching tale of the nine-tailed. but there were parts where it fell flat. I loved the chemistry between the brothers there story developed really well and we got to see them bond throughout the drama. my favorite scene was when they were fighting the ah gwi in the forest, the choreography and the script was so beautiful and emotional. But the love story between Ji ah and Lee Yeon felt disengenuine in some parts, the strong female lead slowly broke and by the end she felt like a weak side character. I thought the scene at the beach was beautiful but the ending was lackluster and almost felt like a side story. I'm currently watching season 2 although a little confused at ep 1 I feel it will strengthen Lee Yeon and Lee Rangs relationship. I think overall this drama was a fun watch and there were times i felt the tension and was at the edge of my seat. I recommend this drama for anyone that enjoys a nice action packed modern fairlytale and Lee Dong Wooks amazing acting.

Don't judge a drama by its poster!!!

As i said before, if you think this is a cliche rom com with a time travel or feel good elements just to be different (like i didi) you would be missing one of the best suspence murder sci-fi mysteries of 2023!!!!

I don't know why this became so damn underrated. Maybe having to compete with a series of long awaited dramas;) Anyways, this was a worth watch and i highly recommend to everyone no matter how picky you are on genres.

The plot was (from 2nd epi) very gripping. Ending was satisfying, cant lie-gave me mixed feelings. The leads were 100% succesful in bringing out their charecters to life (Jin ki joo is a cutieee) The ost.. especially thriller scenes were lit. The village scenery were really soothing and went well with the mysterious plotline.

All i can say is ,its a package of romance, action, investigation (star of the show),thriller, comic and feelgood surprise box!

The only negetives i felt was poster and title font which was very ordinary =_=

No plans on watching the last episode.

Exactly as the title stated. This would've gotten an easy 10/10 if not for the ending. The storytelling was compelling even though I usually stay away from dramas about affairs. That just meant it was that good for the 10 episodes, but the messages became mixed once the last episode happened. Just why? Why?!? Why ruin a great drama?!? Did somebody put pressure on the producers and/or writers? Seriously!

For those who watched the ending, is there even one reason why I should complete this drama?

Controversial Opinion here...I thought it was pretty good

Controversial Opinion here...I thought it was pretty good

All the current reviews right now are all 7s and lower. But me? I am honestly just built differently.

There are three things I need to touch on in this review.

1. I have never been so excited for a show to come out. Did it fall flat? Nah I don't think so.

Although there were definitely parts that could have been better executed. However, I feel like overall it was pretty darn solid.

I have finished it and all and all I feel pretty fulfilled. It gave me the perfect sense of anticipation and nervousness

2. Man/Mr. Jeng is one FINE ASS MOTHER FUCKER

Holy shit. He is the definition of an absolute daddy. The way he babied, took care of, and kind of put Pat into his place of this submissive role he was destined to play and I am 110% HERE FOR IT.

I know a lot of people don't like that. But I like the clique BL daddy dom x submissive housewife role troup a little too much

He is literally so fineeee for whattttt. HE NEEDED MORE SHIRTLESS SCENES LIKE WE NEED MORE OF YOUR YUMMY ABS AND YOUR PERFECT BODY...sorry

3. Why is Pat lokey so relatable?

Something goes wrong at work? Cry.

You get yelled at by someone's mom who you don't know? Cry.

Don't know how to feel about your mess of a love life? Cry.

Your boyfriend's lokey a manipulator but he's fine as hell so you thought it would be okay, but it's not? Cry.

Is your dad wearing some freaky-looking wig? Cry.

He cried a lot. LIKE A LOT. But that made him so relatable and kind of more likable because that is how I also deal with my emotions lmao.

Why was the birth scene necessary...It reminded me of Check Out and i hated it so much

Also, why did Jaab and Jen get an ending? Or are we getting another series for that?...

ALSO WHO PLAYS JAAB? BECAUSE DAMNNNNN YOU SO FINE. COME HERE WITH THAT MULLET. MULLET DADDY CORE.

****phrase I made up to describe them two and their situation:

"Maybe if you would stop 'tonguing' your boyfriend every chance you get, Mr. Jeng, yall would not have had a falling out for no reason."

****

One last thing. Ying is an icon for pursuing her BL writer dreams

Sorry if there are any mistakes, English is my first language. Just bad at it.

Didn't Hate it As Much as I was Expecting To

Okay, so me and this series had a bit of a tiff during the earlier episodes, with me contemplating more than I would've liked to on dropping it or not. However, I decided against it, only because this series is short, and I found myself actually not hating it that much. But that doesn't mean this series gets the upper hand though, cause I wasn't really drawn into the story until like midway between episode 5 -- and when you only have 8 episodes, that's not a good thing.

Let's Dive In.

The first episode was like watching paint dry. The setup, the introduction to the characters, the dialogue -- all of it was terribly uninteresting. So I set this aside for a few days and then tried again, got to episode 3, and then got bored again, set it aside another couple of days, and then tried again. Fell asleep halfway through episode 4. So finally, today, I had set a goal that I would finish this series whether it killed me or not. And I did. And I actually didn't hate it.

Bu episode 5, the plot picks up a bit and so does the romance. Well, not necessarily the romance, but we see their backstory more, and like I always say, I'm a sucker for friends to lovers. So by then, I'm at least entertained by the setup of our main characters and how they came to know each other. Another aspect I liked was the intricate lacing of Woojae's story following along with the plot that occurred. At the end, I was kind of hoping he'd turn his hetero story into a homo story, but that's me nit-picking.

The chemistry is very dull between the two actors. They're both great-looking people, so they look perfect with one another, except, nothing goes past that. The kisses are bad and even more awkward with the drawn-out scenes of their lips literally just touching. Nothing says we're in love like two dead fish smooching.

Ratings:

Story: 5.5/10 - Lots of it is boring. Don't even ask me about the side characters because *shrugs*. I watched most of this at 2x speed, and honestly half awake. It starts to pick up by the end, but it should've grasped my attention way before that.

Acting: 7/10 - It's okay. The actors don't really get to show their true skills because the script is boring and doesn't delve into any real emotions besides stoic and happy.

Music: 6/10 - Wasn't distracting. Good.

Recommendation Value: 3/10 - nah. It picks up, but it's still not worth the watch when there's a plethora of series that gain your interest in the first episode. But it's not totally a miss just because Mister International Korea is in this and I'm shallow.

Interesting plot, but bad story writing and poorly written characters...

There are very few positive things I have to say about this series so I will get them out of the way first. First of all, the sets look amazing (for the most part) and the camera work is really nice and sets the mood. Ultimately, I rated this series so low because of the script and story writing. The plot is interesting, but it was executed so badly, and all the characters are poorly written. Because of that, there were so many awkward moments....

The acting from some of the side characters wasn't good at all. However, a thing that everyone including the main cast is bad at, is the fighting/action scenes. Oh my god were they horrendous it looks like no one even tried to make it look realistic. I found myself chuckling every time a fighting scene came on, I just couldn't take it seriously. Another disappointing factor is that the main couple had like 0% chemistry. At times it was hard to watch, their 'love' looked very forced. I think this was due to the bad writing. Another thing to note is that a lot of the props were misused especially the weapons. Also the ending was so unsatisfying, there were so many things left without an explanation.

I will say this series was at least somewhat entertaining, but by no means a must watch. I would suggest you save your time and not watch this. However if you do decide to watch this show, don't go in with high expectations because you will only leave disappointed.
