both drama and movie deals about romance that started in an unusual way and both deals with finding your dream

Both are heartwarming and cute. It gives you a glimpse of the rural life in Thailand... their culture and way of life. I love that the endings of both dramas are so sweet but not traditional.

Both movies about the main male lead were not happy in the big city. At the beginning was reluctant to go to the country side. The under privilege children ended up was the driving force to attract the teacher. Really good and heartwarming movies. Must watch

Feel good stories about adults and children in small or remote places, who end up teaching each other. Added bonus: a teacher romance in the background.

Both about a falling teacher didn’t fit in to the city. Somehow went to a small town or village. The teacher fall in low with the students.

Diary tell the story and the truth. Diary record the memory, all the tangle web. Heartwarming and sweet movie. Both have passion

Both are about a young man leaving city life and experiencing village life. It took a little bit of shock, adjustment and adaptation. The end up loving and being love by the pure and sincerity of the simple vilages

Both involved teacher from the city who was not happy in life, decided to go to rural area to teach. Individual students has their own challenges and will. Poverty and every family problem. Education started from young.

Both movies are about a male teacher, faces many life challenges, overcome difficulty, dedicate their life for every kids. Very heartwarming movies

Both are teacher and poor students relationship.
Althought the Thai movie is not war related, it is about how the teacher go far and beyond to teach the students and eventually fall in love with the village and students.

Both movies involve the main male lead went out of the city into very poor countryside and regroup the kids who are living in poverty, different background.
Heartwarming movie, must watch

Both dramas show stories about teaching and love between teachers ;)

Il Mare was remade into an American Movie "The Lakehouse" and that is what I watched. Then I also watched Teacher's Diary. I felt similarities in both stories because it both tackles communications between a male and a female through written documents (in Il Mare, letters, in Teacher's Diary, the diary). There is also a longing for both couples in both stories. The only difference is that in Il Mare, it is kind of like a time travel element or something crossing between years. But in Teacher's Diary, its more of like, just alternating each other in the teacher's post, but it is in real time. In both movies, the male and the female leads meet in the end, thank god. But seriously, they have both the same feels when you watch them.

The feel to the movies are soo much similar! Both movies are soo lovable!!
