This is the 2nd Thai movie I've seen since the day I got hooked with Asian films and drama series. It falls under romance-drama genre in this site, but I think it's more of a rom-com type of film. Though it's not your typical romantic-comedy movie. Lead actors don't have mushy lines to utter nor it has cliche scenes that we commonly see in a number of rom-com films. But trust me, you would absolutely find yourself smiling over sweet moments in the film and even laugh heartily on more than a couple of funny cute scenes.

This is more than boy-meets-girl kind of movie where the story usually just revolves around the lead actors being in love and how they conquer anything and everything that hinders their relationship. This movie, on the other hand, will give the viewer a glimpse of both lead actors' selfless character that one would agree that they really deserve each other and would hope that they end up together. It's unique in it's own way; smartly revealing each of the lead actor's amusingly cool character that any film viewer would be able to relate to and appreciate.

The concept of destiny that often seen in romantic films was given a different twist in this movie. A must-watch film that will leave a smile on your face and a smile in your heart and soul.

What are you waiting for?! Go check out this wonderful Thai movie!

YES! I finally watched this movie!

I had it for a long time in my Plan To Watch list but I didn't want to watch it until I could find a good quality site, and oh boy! the waiting was worth it! Thai films never fail in making me laugh and smile.

I'm so in love with this movie, I loved the story and the way the writers told it. The scenery, cinematography, directing and clothes are beautiful and well done.

The actors made a really good job portraying their characters, I totally could feel sparks between them (which is funny because they know each other and fall in love with each other without actually seeing their faces). The kids did an amazing job too. I fell in love with them, they were funny and sweet.

I also loved the main two characters, I want Mr Song to be my boy!! hehe. He was my favorite character, he was funny, clumsy and kind hearted.
Miss Ann was a great character too, she was always so true to herself and loved her kids with all her heart.

The OST is perfect. It was so beautiful, and catches the feeling of the movie very well.

I would totally rewatch this movie anytime!

Romantic in Its Own Way

So far it's the only movie/drama that i dare to give 10.

The teacher's diary. It tells us how A DIARY can be soooo powerful that change 2 persons' life at least (if we don't count the students). Simple idea but creative & excellent in execution.

1st, the love story. I appreciate the production team for making a romantic love story without any skinship, even any meetings. They build the romance & intimacy through words written in a diary. It's cute, sweet, unique, & elegant. Do you know a song "I Knew I Loved You" by Savage Garden? It fits with the movie. The storyline from the past to the present is also well executed & beyond expectation.

2nd, the school story. Really inspiring. When feeling lazy, bad mood, not productive, watching this makes me regain my spirit & optimism. I love how the teachers (Ann & Song) try to survive in such conditions. They're lonely. But loneliness isn't always bad. We can contemplate, think deeply & be grateful of anything through loneliness. Ann is actually smarter than Song, but Song has the way of thinking that she doesn't have. They complete each other as teacher. As adult, they also have to be leaders, elder bro/sis, even parents, whom children can rely on.

Overall, it's a warm & loving movie. Ploy & Bie did excellent job.

Words can have a very large impact on us; more than we often care to acknowledge. Sometimes a few words of encouragement can really change our outlook. This movie was truly uplifting. I expected some romance and perhaps a bit of a rom com flare, but it offered more than that. It was sprinkled with a wonderful dose of positivity and perseverance. It's different, but I couldn't help but be reminded of the 2006 American Film, the Lake House.

I was not disappointed with this film. It not only met but exceeded my expectations!

What I love about this film is that it is an unusual love story, events don't unfold as they traditionally would. You become very invested in the characters and root for them -- you're happy when they're happy, you're sad when they're sad.

Bie Sukrit Wisetkaew and Chermarn Boonyasak did a fantastic job with their roles. Bie captured his awkward, determined, charming character perfectly and Chermarn truly embodied the down-to-earth woman looking for something real in the midst of her traditional life.

If you want to watch a film that will make you feel good, watch Teacher's Diary!

First Impressions Last!

Yes, it was! This is the first love story movie I watched which led me to start liking what's inside Thailand. Watching it for I think three times already only shows that I really like it even from my first glimpse of the film. To give some outline of the film, it is the story of the two crossed-paths teachers who were sent by a town school principal to a remote school in the middle of the lake to teach around 4-7 students in the vicinity who are not capable of sending themselves to a normal school. Teacher Ann, who was sent as one of the remote teachers, cannot defy the fact that it is a whole new world for her. To ease and normalize every scenario, Ann jots down her feelings and experiences during her time in the place, including her loneliness and isolation from her family and his long-time boyfriend. Unexpectedly, someone accidentally discovered the diary and heartily read each line written in there.

Personally, THE TEACHER'S DIARY has been a great hilarious, dramatic, and tearful movie. In the first few minutes, it made me laugh and enjoy their lines and actions (both teachers and students), but the middle part turned me sympathizing with the story to the point that I cannot help but cry. Remote school students portrayed well their role according to what is required. Supporting actors and actresses gave justice to their respective roles. And especially to the two teachers who played the main role, kudos to their excellence and dedication. Up until now, I am still hoping for the second season due to its open-ended ending that left me thinking of the next event.
