Both of these mellow productions focus on one female main character who lives humbly and enjoys the small things in life as she works on making food after a long day.
While the Korean version stole my heart, the original Japanese version of Little forest was also a great watch. It keeps the peaceful feeling of the Korean version but with more time to flesh out the characters and the story. It is also interesting to see how the recipes differ.
First part of the Little Forest duology, which has a Korean remake, which also appeared in the recommendations. Just like Summer Strike, Little Forest (Summer/Autumn and Winter/Spring) talks about a young woman who finds herself worn out by life in the city and goes to the countryside to rethink her life.
Highly recommend this movie if you like the show and vice versa. They both focus on being grounded in nature with cooking elements and spectacular chill vibes. They also both have that perfect summer feel. If this show brings you peace then you should also find it in this movie series (Summer & Autumn, Winter & Spring)
