Both are short web dramas about two people falling in love over Line, whilst speaking little or none of the others language.

-Both is about a love story between a korean man and a japanese woman, and the subsequent cultural clash between korean and japanese culture

-Both have an attractive korean male lead: T.O.P. in TSM and Won Bin in F2002
-Both are short: TSM is 18 eps x 15 min and F2002 is 4 eps x 50 min

DIFFERENCES:
-TSM is more artful/deeper meaning and has the better stunning cinematogtaphy and a more darker and mystical tone
-F2002 focuses more on the cultural difference, while TSM more on past hurts and love itself
-TSM is better than F2002

ALSO, Check out:
-Ueno Juri's AMAZING acting in TSM!
-Yoo In Na (Goblin, Queen In Hyun's Man) as side character in TSM
-Lee Dong Gun supporting role in F2002

Woo Hyun is a Korean man and Haruka a Japanese woman. They live different lives, but they both carry emotional scars from their first love. While looking for answers and hope, their fateful encounter will change their lives.
It started from one message …Haruka, a stage actress in Seoul, has been in a slump ever since she broke up with her first love. She cannot forget him and keeps sending messages that go unread on LINE. Despite her emotional hurt, Haruka wants to believe in love. In Tokyo, Woo Hyun, an aspiring movie director, keeps on doing interviews concerning “love”. After being deeply hurt by his girlfriend who thought about getting married, he no longer believes in love. Haruka and Woo Hyun have both grown timid of love. The two of them, who live apart in Tokyo and Seoul, have a chance encounter because of a LINE message delivered to Woo Hyun’s smart phone from Haruka. They exchange messages without knowing each other’s faces, and are drawn to each other before they realise it.

Sad love story between Japanese woman & Korean man. Secret message is more cute & relaxing drama but 26 Years Diary is more sad & heartbreaking movie based on the real story. I really like all the different country drama & movie collaboration. One of my favorite interracial movie.

Directed by Hagishima Tatsuya, Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai (a.k.a. Calling You) is based on the same-titled light novel series by popular writer Otsuichi. Like Otsuichi's Waiting in the Dark, which was also recently adapted for the big screen, Kimi ni Shika Kikoenai revolves around two lonely young people who find each other in an uncommon manner. Shy, quiet, and unsure of herself, Aihara Ryo doesn't quite fit in anywhere. Though she wants to make friends, she has trouble speaking up and holding a normal conversation like everyone else. It seems that whenever she talks, the words just don't come out correctly. Gradually, Ryo has gotten used to living life in silence as a lonely and introverted student. With no one to talk to, Ryo also has no need for a cell phone. Longing for friends to talk to, she creates a cell phone in her mind for imaginary phone conversations, and much to her surprise, one day Shinya picks up on the other side. For the first time in her life, Ryo has found someone she can talk to.

Il Mare they connect by magical mailbox but in Secret Message is by cellphone. Sending wrong message to unknown person lead to romance. TOP is adorable here & I think he should act in more romance drama & movies. I really like both of the drama & movie.
