This drama has many things going for it: a nice cast, an okay story, good visuals and music and even delicious foods, but still it fails to keep you interested. It starts very strong and grabs your attention with its cheerful and entertaining atmosphere. You get really into it and can't wait for another episode. Then suddenly halfway through, it turns from a romantic comedy into a hardcore melodrama... thus alienating everyone who began to love the drama for its light and funny mood.

Although I did not really enjoy this drama from start to finish, I still recommend it to anyone who enjoys the main actors: U-Know Yun Ho & Kim Ga Eun. The both did a great job and I just wish the story had not gone the route it did.

I order you was a nice and enjoyable drama to watch. Probably not the drama of the year, but a good one indeed.
The story didn't have anything special, apart from the fact that it was set in a lunch box restaurant, which was quite new and refreshing. Otherwise, the characters were all quite mainstream, the-asshole-at-the-beginning-but-actually-warm-hearted-guy, the childish and immature girl, and the second female and male lead that try to get in the main characters's pants. The chemistry between the main characters was very good too.
What I disliked more was that the show started quite cute and light-hearted, but half-way through it got very serious and melodramatic, especially in the last two episodes. The plot twists were really predictable and the decisions of PSA were so stupid it got me banging my head on a wall for thirty minutes.
The cast was quite good, I thought that all the actors fitted their roles pretty well, and Jun-ho pulled out his more serious and mature role nicely.
But Kim Ga Eun. This girl. Her over-reactions and acting were so terrible, it was extremely cringe-worthy. I don't care if it was because of the director or the writers that made her character like that, it still had me gritting my theeth all along. Thankfully, since it got more serious at the end she stopped acting like a meatball=heaven. (You'll understand what I mean when you watch the series.)
The OSTs were very pleasant to the ear, quite memorable. They were quite cheesy, but I wouldn't mind downloading them to my computer at all.
I wouldn't rewatch the series, mostly because I don't like rewatching dramas, but I still recommend anyone to rewatch the first-half as it had quite cute and funny moments, but the second half less since it was full of tense moments and would be more painful to watch than a lamb dying from dehydration.
Overall, I would give it a 7(sorry if my overall rating shows 7.5,mdl lagged). Even though I felt very salty because of the end, I could not forget the good laughs this drama gave me. It had me well gripped and I was always a loyal follower of these series. I would recommend it to anyone, as it is quite easy to watch. Romantic comedy is rarer these days, so you should jump on this one if you are a great fan of them.
Ps: Don't watch this on an empty stomach. My fridge has suffered enough.

Honestly, the only reason I picked this one up because I needed something light, frothy and candyflossy to de-stress at the end of the day. And it served its purpose well for about up to episode 4-5. Then all hell breaks loose and all the familiar, annoying K-drama cliches are paraded one by one in a measly effort to progress the plot - jealous interfering ex-wife, typical-nice-guy second male lead, makjang-y secrets from the past involving accidental death of mothers. You name it.

It's not like the drama had a lot of things going for it - Yun Ho is at best a mediocre actor who has finally managed to get rid of his onscreen stiffness while the whatshername actress doesn't fit the cutesy role because more often than not I found her irritating rather than innocent or naive. (Who the hell wears such adorkable dresses and rainbow-hued skirts to work?) And yet the writer went ahead and destroyed the one thing that the drama served up well - flirty banter, aegyo-filled scenes, hot kissing and skinship. Another thing which galled me to no end was how quickly the guy went from 0-interest to let's-kiss-like-we-want-to-screw-against-the-wall-level-interest. There was absolutely no build up to the romance. Further melodrama and an excess of glycerine in a rom com is a deal-breaker. Especially melodrama that makes no logical sense whatsoever. So long story short, if you are looking for straight out hearty fun, lots of laughs and rom-comy goodness, you are better off looking elsewhere.

I don't even know where to start writing this review... Well this drama started off great, it was funny and went forward fast. I'm a little skeptical against idol actors but I saw Yunho in Nightwatchman's diary and I thought to give this a go because he's very good at acting.

That's about all that was good. After episode 4 or 5 it turned really typical korean drama. Like straight out of textbook. There was two love interest for female lead, after female lead got together with one of them it was push and pull all the time "let's be together, then break up but then be together again but then break up again". And of course male lead's ex-wife came to the picture, it brought more melodrama and so on.

So a very typical korean romance drama. If you're watching this because of Yunho I recommend to watch it, he really can act and he doesn't have those stiff moments at all what some idol actors tend to have.

how can i begin

at first it was a little shallow cause no one fall for another that fast & strong then began to imagine like that

then it becomes nice , then predictable , then silly & vapid
it's very antagonistic story with same cliches

then it becomes v.provoking cause she judged a child at something wasn't his fault at all WTF
he was just a child

i saw it was very frail reasons to leave each other Whether ( his ex-wife or his current girlfriend)
then it turned lukewarm

this drama just to watch once when u r boring & want something light without focusing
i saw this drama is just a waste for (U-Know Yun Ho) talent just as (heading to the ground) drama
same weak plot

I gotta say i enjoyed it very much, so funny and light that you watch from start to finish.

Has some comic moments very well done and some awkward ones too but it's fun to watch.
The main couple did a great job, they are so funny together and lovable, the chemistry is there and they are so cute i want to keep them forever lol

Their story begins with a misunderstanding but it develops in a nice way. The story had some plot holes yes and could have been better but they wrapped it up pretty well, they managed to be consistent and give them a fair growth together, to overcome their struggles, both of them, on their personal troubles and the ones they create together.
They show how hard forgetting past loves can be and how hard it is to also learn to love again with someone new, to take a chance in love again.

Was a refreshing one for me and i liked it a lot, left a good impression on me.
And i recomend those of you who have a soft spot for sweet funny romances (as i do sometimes) to watch this, you won't regret it.
It's funny and delicious at the same time haha :P

Ahhh, they could've made this so cute and simple....
but no.
I've seen dramas 3 times longer than this one, but with much fewer plot twists.... there are so many, it became predictable for me, what would happen, because it was like the writer said "Let's make this as shocking as possible!" but I've seen a ton with some of the same ideas in it. It was just trying too hard to become something it wasn't. And it's honestly a shame, since they could've made this so great... had a lot of potential.
The main leads are adorable (didn't like the female lead at first, I guess I had to get used to her), has a great chemistry (even with second male lead) and honestly, I really adored second male lead...
the second female lead though... she was SO annoying... gosh, she made me wanna drop it.
The OST didn't really stand out to me, because I was more focused on the many turns this took. I'm fine with drama, but I don't like it when it's there for absolutely no reason. All the drama, was useless. It just didn't add to the original story at all. I even want to suspect that they changed the writer, from about episode 8 and then changed it, every single episode onward. New episode, new writer.
I'm amazed with whoever came up with this idea because, it generally was a good idea. The first couple of episodes though, made me cringe. Maybe because I haven't watched that many of these kinds of dramas but I'll give credit for the food scenes. The food was looking nothing less than GORGEOUS, and the cooking scenes was nice.

I'm probably not gonna rewatch this, and if I do, it's because I like the leads and second male lead.

Watch this for the food!

This show had some beautifully filmed scenes that were like a food orgy. The colors, combinations and freshness of the foods were a joy to see.

The story was okay, but it moved from cute and fluffy to melodrama unnecessarily. The main couple had talked through their past traumas together, giving each other advice to forgive themselves, but when push came to shove, the female lead forgot all that, hence causing the obligatory separation. She said some terrible things and never apologized, which really bothered me.

U-Know as Chef Yeo Gook Dae - there were certain scenes in which I felt he was overacting and I never really felt a progression for his attraction to her. His scenes after they broke up were touching, however.

Kim Ga Eun as Park Sung Ah - she was cuteness personified. She seemed so tiny and they had her dressed in these cute little skirts with clunky shoes and she was just precious. At the very beginning I thought she was going to be a total airhead, but she calmed that down pretty quickly.

Jang Seung Jo as Kevin - it hardly ever happens, but I definitely had SLS in this show. I felt that he was a much better match for the FL. I had just finished watching this actor in The Good Detective (he was excellent, as was the show) and he was a completely different character here. He was classy yet kind of goofy, and I loved his supportiveness of the FL.

I have to say that my favorite parts of the show were Jang Seung Jo and the food.

If you like to see half-chewed food in someone's mouth this drama is for you!

This dumpster fire of a drama started off bad and got steadily worse. The FLs 'acting' was particularly awful, consisting almost entirely of boggle-eyed staring, gasping, panting, OTT lip-licking, and a jaw so relentlessly slack that I expected drool to start appearing at any moment. Oh and screeching, let's not leave that out. And close-ups of her open-mouthed chewing. The male actors were only marginally better; less annoying but also charmless and wooden. The non-plot switches from the thinnest, most pallid of rom-coms to incomprehensible melodrama halfway through, too. Just no.

When the fault is not ours

She fell in love with his cooking, his lunchbox cuisine reminds her of her mom. He fell for her after listening to her reciting a love proposal meant to be written for his customers. He was married or almost married. (This part was never completely clarified in the drama. There is a second male lead but no Second Male Lead syndrome. All main characters acted well. It's a moving yet humorous and sometimes Lol moment drama. The kissing were intense. The ending is happy and satisfying. I smiled a lot and cry a little when watching this drama. I Rewatched this 2 times in the last year or so.

The main problem with this drama comes from the forced, abrupt, and utterly predictable story and plot. Like many of the other reviewers have pointed out, this drama's genre changes mid-way through the drama -- Starting off with lots of comic relief, then turning into an all-out melodrama -- is one of its greatest flaws.

I also feel that the character's personalities are somewhat inconsistent; U-know Yunho's character changes drastically from how he was presented in the first episode from the second episode onwards, and not in a "character development" way. He came off as a rather cool, aloof sort of guy to a slightly immature kind of guy who teases the girl he likes.

However, it also does have lots of nice food shots and cooking clips that were great to watch while I ate in front of the computer. The shots are all clean and nice, and it does have some nice lines that were well delivered.

If you enjoy watching romance dramas with handsome guys, pretty girls, and perfectly arranged food, this will do just fine.

Just finished watching the first episode and all i can think about it is: OMG, what a rude bastard!

I mean... When you watch other dramas it seems perfectly natural for rich people who are disconnected from the common folk to act arrogant and feeling high about themselves. But this guy works on the food industry and has to deal with public all the time. Yelling and blaming a customer for a mistake HE commited is really the best way to captivate buyers and make them come back to his store? My degree in advertising says otherwise...

The preview of the next episode doesn't help you much to relate with the male character... Apparently the girl will be forced to work for free after he performs a heimlich manneuver to save her life, wich ends up destroying an ugly but priceless decorative dish... Can this guy be any more of a douche? How are we expected to believe that these two will be deeply in love after 16 episodes?

I think i'll give it one more chance, but as of right now, i'm not so sure that i'll stick with it after two or three episodes...
