I completed this show without negative feelings or frustrations, (though I did cry a little, but that is so because they're tears of joy) so it is quite hard for me to critique this one (well I'm not a critique in the first place)
It is particularly straight forward and simple in their approach in everything. No conflicts, no dramas, no plot twists. It is really easy to watch, so don't complicate yourself when you do watch it.
This show particularly attracted me because I have involved myself in a love kinda like this (basically story of my life-ish). The type of love shown in the show is not the kind of love most people often see in mainstream shows--or even in real life. I call it an introvert's love.
I agree, this show doesn't feel realistic and it is overly cliche but we all like to feel them butterflies in the stomach right? If that is so, this show won't disappoint you.
As for the actors and actresses, I love them. I am not so focused in their delivery of the skill (acting) but Its just really refreshing to see them act with their beautiful faces and quirky antics.
Overall, this show gives me a new feeling. Part of it is because I am not too familiar with Chinese culture and also because--well that's what mostly it is. So, I can say that would be a good watch! (especially if you are a(n) girl, introvert, gamer, nerd or human for that matter)
Final note: The story may disappoint you, or maybe the language, or maybe the number of episodes will, but Yang yang definitely won't. That's all. ^^

A reflection on our era of MMO socialising, but offline the characters are fairly shallow and vapid.
Overall it's an entertaining watch. However as per summary, be prepared that the characters depicted are somewhat shallow and vapid. The acting of those characters is also somewhat shallow and bland at times, but I don't know really whether it's the actors, the direction provided them, or the script which has caused that blandness.Music : Neither nauseating nor notable. 5.
Story : Yes, it tells a story. 3.
Ok ok.
Will add on 2 points because of the modern life in-game MMO socialising depiction, and there actually being a plot in the second half of the story where they have met irl and the ML is trying to start up his post-study career in being a game dev - 4. So, overall a 9.
Acting: as above. Has 'off' moments where the attempt to act is obvious. As above I don't know whether blaming the actors specifically for this is correct to do or the direction. Character depictions are somewhat shallow and vapid. I don't know whether the finger should be pointed at the actors, or the script/direction. Special mention of the 2FL though. Her character was the highlight for me. Overall an 7.
Rewatch value : 0. Unless you're into re-living the high school fantasy where you're the most popular high school girl and the most popular high school boy notices you and every other contender for most popular girl is totally schooled by your awesome good looks. In which case, it's rewatch of 10. Seriously, it's that shallow. Averaged out, that's a 5.

Just beautiful ✨
I'm gonna say that, this drama was the most beautiful and well maintained one. It's a major success mainly for two reasons. One, the actors were not a fan of unnecessary misunderstanding and drama, and two, the main actors as well as the support actors, all of them have done a mind blowing job. Well, it may seem at first that the female lead is a bit clueless and airheaded, but as the story progresses, we see that she really has self esteem, which actually misses from some of the dramas. Being a bright girl, both by beauty and brain, she was what is called 'perfect'. The same goes for the male lead. Honestly, we always see the male leads are the gods of misunderstanding in other dramas, but here, trust me, he clearly knew what he was aiming at and what he wants, and that's why he was a pro at dodging every unpleasant situation that came across his way. He also believed in his girl immensely, and that's why he didn't pay any damn attention or interest to other people's opinions. These things are very rare in dramas. But since no drama is perfect, this too has three drawbacks. First, the lead actors took a long time, rather stupidly, to confess to each other, partly because Zheng Shuang was too much shy. Second, the friends of Xiao Nai were all idiots to be honest. Like they seemed like they won't know anything even if their houses were robbed. And third, some actors were so desperate that they made the mood sour sometimes. But other than these things, the drama was a hundred percent success. Was this review helpful to you?
What to watch when you watch 020
There are several things I loved about Love 020... Xiao Nai obviously needed no introduction in the looks department... His acting was spot on and his chemistry with Bei Wei Wei only left me overwhelmed and giggly. Every time I saw an episode with them, I felt the characters and the story hit me so hard that by now I have rewatched this series at least 16 times! I know... there are several fans out there who will outnumber me in that department because of the strength of the story.Another point I appreciated in the story was the lack of suspicion between the couple. I mean...I have hardly come across a story that doesn't leave us guessing about the hero being suspicious of his heroine. The possessiveness quotient was out of this world! Truly worth a watch...again and again.

Very Cute
Very cute drama, super simple not to complex of a plot but still very well done. I love the gaming aspects of this drama which makes it a lot more interesting than just watching a normal drama with a boring plot, the video game aspects really helps spice up the drama.Story :
The story was really good, I love the way the producers wrote this and directed this. The casting was also really good. The female lead not having too many focuses but still being a genius and really pretty makes the show a lot more interesting. Usually the main female lead is given so many titles which makes them seem so powerful but they still end up being bullied which definitely takes away the purpose of the main lead. The main lead being smart and attractive and has all the girls obsessed over him is so typical but so good regardless. The way this story incorporates friendship and very less drama, like the second female lead being obsessive and all that, it still makes the story interesting enough to keep going.
CGI:
The CGI I would say it a little wonky, the scenes when they were in the game looks very fake and you can tell there's so much green screening but it's bearable. The costumes and outfits were really good though, except for the main female lead's dress in that one episode, it looks too childish.
Music :
The music was great! I loved the song they played during the ending credits, YangYang singing is sooo goood.
Acting:
The acting was ok, idk what else to really say. The female lead did okay, the kissing scenes weren't really give given the main female lead doesn't kiss back which takes away the part where there supposedly be in love with each other. It's kind of hard to believe. The supporting actors did really good. I love the friendship between the main leads friend groups. Really wholesome.
Ending:
The ending was pretty good. The main leads ended up together, and i liked how there wasn't any misunderstandings between them even though so many obstacles came in there way. What I didn't like was towards the end, the directors just put in so many problems and drama for the main lead, I guess maybe they thought it was too boring and needed to add conflict. This was very much not necessary, which is probably why the show got dragged out to 30 episodes when it could have been shorter. But it was still really good nonetheless.
Fun fact! The title of this drama is LoveO2O not Love020, it is the letter O and not the number 0 because the show name means Love ONLINE 2 OFFLINE. The main leads met and fell in love online, leading to them meeting and falling in love offline(hence in person).

A typical Idol Drama
Good drama..no cliches as such..quite predictable but also nothing too dramatic about the storyline. One thing kind of erks me is that Xiao Nai's love or liking to say began nowhere. He just randomly one day comes over to her seat on the basketball court marking his territory. It was kinda random for a guy to fall for a girl he never met, never spoke to. Nothing wrong with Wei Wei as she never spoke to this guy so her stance is normal. (Wei Wei is too skinny. Legs and arms are too thin and bony. Not that I'm criticizing her, just stating a fact)The guy is the regular perfect male lead always displaying heroic aura. He is perfect in everything and is capable of achieving anything and everything. I maybe wrong about him falling for her at the pc cafe or maybe right but the ending line that he says that "Had I known the....(cant remember the line sorry?) I would have fallen for you at first sight." What does he mean by that? Does he mean to say he didnt fall for her at the first sight..? That gives me mystery vibes as to how did he fall for her?? So if someone knows please tell me whats the case..Anyway one really good thing in this drama was the friendship among the ML's friends and FL's friends. Those true friends are something to yearn for. True friends are really rare and that aspect is what I really appreciate. I also like the character development of Zhao Erxi of how she is heartbroken when she finds that the guy she likes, likes her best friend. She blames this on her best friend but then realises that its not Wei Wei's fault. And instead mends her friendship than going on and on about it.
The game factor was also really wholesome and refreshing. The graphics were of great quality. It was very refreshing to watch a girl being a gamer also really good at it. She was not stupid as the typical C-drama FLs are. Bei Wei Wei was a good character but at some times she gave out over reactions such as too much smiling.
Concluding as, good light hearted drama with good amount of romance and a wholesome display of true friendship.

A cute fluffy drama
I'm going to be honest, the plot is paper thin and the characters are one-dimensional at best. Although I am giving this drama an 8 because it still gave what it needed to for it to be watchable. If you want a light fluffy drama to watch just to pass time this is what you're looking for. The main couple is is the stereotypical perfect couple and the second couple is so messy I would recommend skipping their episodes. I googled which episodes to skip and I think it helped improve the watching experience. Overall it was an okay drama and I would rewatch it if I was bored one day.Was this review helpful to you?
I sooooo loved it
My friend recommended me this and I just loved the ML and FL, it was beautiful. My 5 stars are for the ML/FL, Storyline and OST!! Only thing that annoyed the heck out of me was her BFF Erxi. Her character was so annoying and childish. I seriously wanted to fast forward her scenes, if I did that, I may miss the storyline. Otherwise I enjoy the interaction between FL and her friends group and ML and his. It is a happy ending. Was this review helpful to you?

A green flag drama that's so nice it's sometimes boring
I've watched this drama and while I really like how wholesome it felt I'm not sure if I really like it so much. It's great to finally see a Chinese drama where villain characters are normal, not obsessive and even show some inner growth. Total green flags.
I loved how groups of friends were portrayed. It was really nice to watch their playful banter.
At the same time the banter between the leads didn't feel half as good. I don't know if it was because of the translation but their dialogue felt quite stiff. It was difficult to see when they (supposedly) build their deep and trustful relationship. It was never showed how their connected as an adult couple (not students that are just going out). So it felt as if it's enough to spend a lot of time together to be a great couple;)
Also there were some moments when ML felt more like a stalker than a love intrest (the FL gets to know him in 9th episode). Side character KO felt creepy through the whole drama (was it supposed to be hinting some romantic interest with another guy?).
My main problem with this drama is that ML was just too great. He was great at everything and with everybody. There was not a problem he couldn't predicted and solve before the problem itself was even revealed to the audience. In the end it was somewhat boring. On the other hand, FL (who was supposed to be his female counterpart) wasn't given any challenge to show off her skills. In the end she was reduced to ordering food and playing the online game according to his instructions.
All in all, it was a good, nice watch. Although I would enjoy it more if the FL was portrayed more lively and with more occasion to show her wit.
