I loved the relationship between the guys. Their friendship was so fun. The love between the leads was just so sweet and cute. I took. 5 points off because of the ending but it was not a deal breaker. The ending left me wanting more.

Health Is Sexy!!! AF
What a DELIGHT this was. A true ROM and COM, and yet I also bawled my eyes out several times. I’ve seen some reviews say that this show is fatphobic, but to be honest I expected something much worse. The core message was emphasized so many times that “health is sexy,” and the female lead never lost the weight because of her ex, but rather because she had serious health concerns. Also, her progress is slow and steady, with a healthy diet and workout routine. The only thing is that I wish the show had a healthier approach to food and dieting. Eating a balanced diet also means that you get to eat or drink something unhealthy without making such a big deal about it being unhealthy. Eating healthy also doesn’t mean that your food has to be unseasoned and bland, or just consisting of salad and greens. In that regard I agree with Ju Eun that she was like a rabbit🤣I also found it a bit disheartening that they had her gain the weight back because of her pregnancy, and 26kg at that. That’s just unrealistic especially because the male lead was only gone for a month.Other than that I loved the main couple so much, they were adorable and so much fun. Loved how much he loved her dimples, and I am so sure that he was the one who wanted that little “pop-the-dimple” game to be their thing🤭. So cute🥰🤩! There was so much love and devotion between them, but also so much teasing and bantering, they were a fun couple. I am also glad that any trouble was communicated quickly and that there wasn’t any opposition in regards to their relationship! Now the second couple… In that equation, U Sik was the problem both times (with Ju Eun and Su Jin). I didn’t like Su Jin at first, but even with her sly remarks and annoying behavior towards Ju Eun, I grew soft for her. What the show did well was showing that skinny doesn’t immediately equate to being healthy. Su Jin still used chocolate specifically as a coping mechanism to stress (maybe a means to binge on the low), and she seemed to suffer from body dysmorphia. Her strict dieting also impacted her fertility. U Sik though is trash🚮🗑️ (as is Mr. Choi—he literally almost killed the male lead and barely got any harsh punishment other than losing his job temporarily).
As a whole, this show was honestly so, so good. Some of it is not super great to be honest, but I still had such a marvelous time watching it. The couple was *it* for me, as were the male lead’s friends—they made a cute quad—and the takeaway that “health is sexy and beautiful” is in fact encouraging. Especially because the female lead wasn’t wallowing in self-pity all the time, but still confident no matter her size.

I recommend this drama for people who love rom coms.
First and foremost. THE CHEMISTRY. There is a level of familiarity between our leads, almost from the beginning. They bicker a lot, but come to an understanding (and almost affectionlike) relationship rather quickly. Even throughout advancements in the plot, this doesn't change, and I think that's the nicest thing to see.
On top of the leads you have one of the best bromances I have ever seen. I think the friendship between Ji-woong, Joon-sung and Young-ho might be my favorite friendship in my drama viewing history. They're tough with each other, but do it in a way that shows that they care, more than if they were to actually say the words.
There is also a great commodore between the boys and Joo-eun. Even in the beginning when they were around to simply try and get rid of her, they still treated her with respect, and that only grew as time went on. The friendships, all across the board, were a very high point for me in this show.
The plot was good as well. It didn't dwell on a "fat" girl that wanted to transform herself. By all means, that exactly what she did, but it was more than that. She wasn't just looking to have her pretty face back, though I think she looks beautiful before AND after, she was doing it for herself and after learning of her hypothyroidism, was doing it for major health benefits.
I really like that the guys didn't mock her weight (with the exception of a couple ignorant looks and statements by Young-ho).
I also liked that our female lead (Shin Min-ah) was a strong person who always stuck to her morals, no matter what. Her character didn't change after the weight gain (except for maybe her self-consciousness) and didn't change after she'd lost it again. She didn't have a damsel in distress attitude (except for when she actually was in distress or danger) and always spoke her mind, offending people be damned.
On the other side, you have a strong male lead who is actually vulnerable and extremely soft hearted. He takes on almost a fatherly role within his friendships and it works.
Wasn't too keen on the second leads, but they served their purpose and even had some redeeming qualities to them, which is more than I can say for other second leads.

She's my Venus!
The first half was really good and a lot of fun, the 2nd was decent, I'm glad they didn't do anything ridiculous in the finale, but the time jump after the accident was irritating as hell. ML was really selfish. He's lucky FL is so understanding. And let's not even talk about the 2nd lead couple, 'cause what the hell? Don't know why everyone treated them like it's nothing special when it's clearly not a couple that people should support so to speak. I'm not talking about the viewers. They could've done more with the show if they exclude the accident, that had no reason to be in the show at all. Choi Hyeran's story is just another level of madness. It was written so poorly.
I think the show had a lot more potential!
Anyway, overall, it was a good show, it's now in my fave list, Jisub and Mina were great together, also the boys and the Korean Alfred.😅

Pretty Cute.. Only Mildly Annoying lol
These are the small amount of notes I took as I watched the series. No full review here, sorry. The first episode or two of any new drama is always the worst. lol Especially if the last drama before that was really good. So far it's okay, but he keeps following her to check up on her but they've not really given him any real motivation to care that much other than him claiming he "won't be able to sleep" and he feel some type of way about sick/injured people.
What on Earth is with her pants? Is there a flood? I get she's supposed to look dumpy but the pants are mid-calf! And it's every pair! Also, this old "friend" or whoever is the worst. Is she meant to be attractive because she looks like the chunky end of an iPad pen with that terrible haircut.
My god she falls to the ground A LOT.
Why is EVERY single pair of work pants she owns the same horrible length? Why do they all come to halfway down her calf!? It's driving me nuts.
Okay, so this show was cute. I was very confused about how they were going to drag it out 16 episodes when they fell in love so quickly, but the pacing didn't wind up too bad. Overall good.

better than I thought after reading the bad reviews
I read both positive and negative reviews and I wasn’t sure to start, but I don’t regret it. In general I think it was good and a cute romcom, it has flaws but I still enjoyed it.The good points :
- I liked the leads. I think they are good chemistry and I love their dynamic. He for sure started to like her even before she started to lose weight. Good kissing scene.
- I liked the friendship and the bromance
- I found it funny and entertaining most of the time
- I think the general plot was okay, I wasn’t bothered by the fat comments or the plot about her being « fat » (maybe overweight, it wasn’t actually bad » and blah blah blah. I was expecting something bad with the comments or reviews. It wasn’t that deep for me and she was the one who wanted to lose weight.
- the music became good
- I like that there is not really annoying and unnecessary love triangle or second lead. Or even annoying characters in general or annoying plot and drama. Much appreciated, in recent dramas that’s often annoy me a lot. After FL breaks up at the very beginning of the drama with SML, her ex like the SFL and we have the relationship between the leads. Yeah there is some scenes with FL and SML, but there is no love left and I wasn’t annoyed by it. I understood that, they were in a relationship for 15 years… It was in the firsts eps and very few scenes. There was no annoying side characters with unrequited love in the drama.
- Happy ending, I found the airport scene funny too
- there is no break up. just ML who leaves for like a year after his accident to get better, physical therapy, etc. but that didn’t last more than 1 ep
- I liked secretary Min
Now some minus points :
- that second couple wasn’t it. The cheating ex and the coworker/friend from school. That’s not a couple I was interested in, they got their happy ending, good for them... It became better to watch later on, but still. At some point I actually felt bad for her though.
- The dimples kiss was cute at first, but after a while, enough
- the guy talking in English, that was annoying at some point
- the third couple, I actually think they are cute. the girl was kinda a stalker at first though. But there are so few scenes of them that I felt like their relationship time line didn’t make sense. Seems like they are a couple in the last ep or her with his mom, feel like we missed a few chapters. I would have like to see more of them and the development of their relationship than that second couple.
- ML that didn’t talk for FL for the year he was gone
- mL’s father, he got some redemption at the end…
- became a bit boring later on, I was on my cellphone sometimes
- too many flashbacks
So, I would recommend. I think it’s an easy to watch and fun drama without trash problems or many annoying things.

Nice enough.
The story, concept and main elements are engaging although all the usual Kdrama tropes (like the ML's chaebol family is totally disfunctional etc) are present. The pace slows at times and they overuse flashbacks to fill time. This is poor writing in my opinion. Last 3 episodes are a complete wash. The acting was good, characters likeable and music score enjoyable. Lead couple was over dramatic (also a trope). 2nd lead couple is more complex, more interesting, more real.Final takeaway: chubby Shin Min Ah is too frikin cute!

It emphasizes that you should be in a normal weight (not fat but also not skinny) not because you want to look good, but because you want to be healthy. It also emphasizes that you should have regular exercise along with healthy diet to achieve a healthy body.
They not only show case Kang Joo Eun who want to loose weight to be healthy, but they also give example of Oh Soo Jin that lose weight just for looking good. It’s really interesting to see the difference in them, and you could see the effect of what a difference in diet and reason of losing weight could lead to a very different live style and health effects.
I think the casts are top notch, I love everyone in this. So Ji Sub is great as usuall and ‘dripping in sexy ness’. His interaction with everyone is great. You could see how he was like a brother and father to Jang Joon Sung and Kim Ji Woong. His romance with Joo Eun grows naturally and so believable. I also love his interaction with Manager Min, who act also like a father to him.
Si Minh Ah as Kang Joo Eun is also great. She bring such a positive attitude, ‘I could do anything if I put my mind into it’ is definitely my favorite quote from her. It’s her mantra in life and the reason she could conquer any problem she faced, including losing weight and become healthier.
Love Sung Hoon and Henry Lau, I think this is the first time I see them in a drama. They are so good looking and adorable. I wish they give more background story to Ji Woong. The background story and development for Joon Sung is good.
The music is very romantic which fits in with the story. Nothing that I really love but it’s nice.
I definitely would rewatch this drama again. And everyone should give this drama a try, you would not regret it.

Humorous with lots of heart!
When her boyfriend of 15 years breaks up with her unexpectedly, the FL hires the ML as her personal trainer to help get back in shape & turn her life around.Even though she doesn’t fit society’s {warped} definition of beautiful, the FL remains confident & true to herself. Though she has moments of feeling discouraged because of the negativity around her, she never lets that keep her down. It was really nice to watch a show where the woman knows her worth & doesn’t let anyone push her around. It’s a powerful message that many need to hear.
I liked how the ML didn’t go easy on her, but rather encouraged her to {safely} push her limits. And when he saw her tenacity & drive to succeed, he began seeing her in a whole new light. He never cared about her size, only ever her health. The situations he’d put her in because of his job were quite humorous (but I know if I was in the FL’s shoes I’d have died of embarrassment 🫣)!
Through their journey to get her healthy & their cohabitation to keep her safe, they develop a strong base for their relationship to be built on. Once they become a them, they’re so adorable. Their chemistry is so natural & easy right from the start, I immediately shipped them.
We see them both be each other’s strength. When his old injuries & disease flare up, she’s there to encourage him that he can handle the pain & keep moving forward. When she’s struggling to kick bad habits & overcome health issues, he’s there to keep her on track & remind her she’s worth it. Where one is lacking, the other steps in & helps cover the slack. It’s such a beautiful portrayal of a couple who are truly partners in all things. There’s some real emotional scenes that produce all the feels so be prepared to swoon & get your heartstrings tugged.
Bonus: the bromance is wonderful & worth watching just for them. The “big brother” they’d follow anywhere, the sweet “middle brother” who’s a professional fighter, & the quirky “little brother” who’s constantly speaking in Kenglish (Korean + English) - I loved them so much! And how they include the FL in their tight circle of 3 (now 4) is just *chef’s kiss* 🫠

It’s my second time watching Ji Sub in a drama after Im Sorry I love you which I’ve watched many years ago. I always knew he’s a good actor and can be good looking and that he must have aged. But didnt realize he can be this sexy and good looking still.
I enjoyed seeing the charcters. Not an epic drama but definetly a good watch!

OVERALL A GREAT AND FUN WATCH
Very cute!!!Tbh it made me a little iffy to watch at first because of how heavily it focused on fl weight but I liked the fact he liked her at any weight and was very supportive of her goals. To begin with, No stupid drama, no second female lead the ml refuses to cut off, no toxic mom, grandma, or dad that's trying to ruin the relationship
A VERY CALM WATCH
and ohmygoddd the fl isn't pathetic and lets the main guy walk all over her
...cant say the same abt the second but she wasn't awful
would I watch again?? prob.. so many ppl told me this was their fav n I'm glad I got the chance to watch
0.0 a hot a racy night... omooo so cute
