I loved the show..it showed two perpectives of dealing with feelings...it was not rushed, story was perfect...Heo and the psychologist were hilarious.. it shows the feelings of first time lovers to an extent

I totally recommend and would rewatch it for sure.

Choi was a multifaceted character which i loved the most..jung potrayed it so flawlessly..his expressions were to die for and yi rung was cute..they both balanced out each other

The only thing i disliked was the timing of the music

I just wanted the pain to end.

I'm a fan of cliches. Seriously, I would die for cheesy romances, but this one was so disappointing.

I read so many nice reviews about how cute it was, but I didn't find the cuteness in it. The couple is so toxic, the male lead is absolutely horrifying [spoilers ahead], he told the girl he liked her, got jealous of something so dumb like a phone call from an ugly dude & procceed to flirt with a random woman because he wanted "see her cry". Therapy?

Anyway, there's no chemistry, the female lead looks like a statue, sometimes I even forgot she was there. It's not romantic (there's like two kisses and one of them is forced) and the rest of the time everyone is being annoyingly loud and boring. The humor is entertaining, but weak and I don't like the filmography, to be honest.

I didn't enjoy watching, I just wanted it to end as quickly as possible. I'll probably never watch it again.

I’m surprised that this doesn’t have a much higher rating. It is a 15 minute, 20 episode simple story, that’s like a breeze to watch. No overly complicated plots, no annoying antagonists, just a story about two clueless people whose lives couldn’t be any more different find themselves in a blossoming love story. Choi Se Hoon is portrayed here as a narcissist, and Jung Il Woo played him so well. His narcissistic character was very consistent throughout the story, unlike Park Seo Joon’s Lee Young Joon in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim in which his narcissistic character was poorly written. I do not agree with the nay sayers who complain that the story is chiche, I say, the way the story played out, the acting, their lines and the interactions were far from it.

JIW is a very good comedic actor, he has good comedic timing, he especially plays eccentric/looney characters so well. He doesn’t look like he’s trying too hard and he isn’t over acting it. However, I cannot say the same for the female lead, she wasn’t stand out at all. But this drama is worth the watch even if it’s just for the character Choi Se Hoon and his scenes with Section Chief Heo and his psychiatrist, Jong Hyun. Heo is so loveable. He badmouths Choi Se Hoon so much, but takes care of him so much more. Such a loyal sidekick. Their interactions are so fun to watch.

I usually am a little more lenient with web dramas. It's hard to tell a story in 15 minute episodes. However, High End Crush had too many things to ignore. I still went lenient on it which is why this rating is a 6 instead of something lower but I digress.

What I Liked:
I enjoyed the somewhat new character in Yi Ryeong. She had her convictions, she was raised in the mountains, and doesn't know a lot about the city but didn't really let that stop her from saying and being what she wanted.

The premise for the story typically hits a spot with me in regards to dramas. I love cheesy cliche rom coms.

The pace of the drama was also nice. Just when I started getting bored it would pick up or close a plot line and open a new one.

The humor but only in the last 5 or so episodes. Those last few eps actually had me laughing out loud at some moments.

What I didn't like:
The humor in the first 15 episodes. I don't understand why they thought it'd be hilarious to have the humor men just yelling loudly and yet somehow under their breath but that was the "comedy" in the first 15 episodes.

Everything about Choi Sae Hoon. He embodies the male lead in dramas from 2008-2014. He's entitled and mean and demanding. You still see this in current dramas but I think it's milder than earlier dramas and definitely milder than this character. I was kind of rooting for Yi Ryeong to be like nah and live her life happily with her aunt.

Overall, I think this will fade completely from my memory but it was enjoyable for the majority of the watch.

A very cute romance (but warning it's kinda a slow burn for the FL)

Ok so let's be clear from the start this drama wasn't a masterpiece but I still wish it was longer because it did its job pretty well for a short drama.

For starters, the first 2 episodes were weirdly hard to follow (the subtitles were moving too fast because the characters were talking very very fast for some reason) but fortunately it was much better in the next episodes and I began to truly enjoy it then. If I am being honest, the whole show is carried by the ML. I already saw the actor in Cinderella and the 4 knights and I really wasn't a fan of his character so I started this drama without expecting too much but his acting here definitely changed my mind. I wish he did some other romance/modern drama or maybe a more villainous role, it seems he would be great at it !

Like I said before, the story isn't very exciting or new and is full of clichés (super rich and mean guy falls for a pretty and gentle girl) but it still worked ! The chemistry was present and I also liked the FL since she dosen't let the ML bully her or change her ways because of him and it's always a GOOD thing to watch. I know some people didn't like the fact that she fell in love with the ML much later than him (even if it's implied) but well sorry not sorry I 200% love when the guy is clearly madly in love with his love interest and is acting a little pathetic because of that lol. I live for the "angst", the longing, the worrying, etc etc, especially when it's all coming from the guy (and don't worry it's a happy ending of course).

It sure would have been great if we had more time with them being an official couple, but since the drama was 95% all about them, I guess it wasn't really necessary in the end. Saying that, it's a shame the secondary characters weren't really developed and so their relationships with one another felt very one dimensional. Still, with only 20 episodes of 15 minutes each, a majority of the characters were quite likeable.

In conclusion, if you don't have high expectations and want to see a "high end" crush developing (mainly from the guy's perspective) without any breakup happening then give it a try !!

Relaxing to watch

I was looking for something relaxing to watch, something that would be easy and fun without the drama that usually comes with kdramas (i needed a bit of a change) and I have to say that this was it. I ended up enjoying it. It's about a rich guy who always has his way and it bores him to death and one day he meets a girl who doesn't care about his money nor does she allow him to "buy" her and because of that he becames somewhat obsessed with her. It was funny and easy to watch, especially because it's not a long series.

Overall: Cute, light filler drama if you don't have anything else to watch (in between dramas?) Can finish rather quickly.

Story: Typical premise. Nothing to shout about. Rich guy/poor girl story.

Acting/Cast: New actors, but they held up quite okay. Having idols cast also make the story more interesting. I did feel, however, that the main male lead overdone it just a tad bit with his aggressiveness (you'll see what I mean) and several times I really winced and it ruined it just a little for me (because then I didn't like him as much), but it can be just me.

Music: Music was actually pretty good and wove in well with the drama.

Rewatch value: Not really. No memorable scenes. Was cute and made me smile at times, but the romance was really meh.

Although my ratings sound a little bad I do think it's not bad if you're not in the mood to start a new long drama, or need some drama to help you get back your appetite for dramas after not watching one for a while. I decided to watch this because I was tired of chasing long dramas, and now I'm ready to go for longer. But honestly, a better webdrama series is Noble, My Love. I loveeeed that one!

Hoped this TLDR review helps! ^__^

This is FUN. All the 1 HOUR long k-dramas, LEARN.

I just finished watching this and couldn't resist giving it a 10 rating:-)

While I did discover short-length web dramas already, and have been watching more than 1 in parallel, like 'Noble, My Love' or 'Hot And Sweet', so at first I did not actually give that much attention to this one, in the end I must rate it even higher than 'Noble, My Love'.

This was a show in which I LOVED the funny side-characters EVEN MORE than the lead romance! Which is NOT typical for me at all. I laughed SO hard at times. Loved the music (잉키, 전세진), too.

The only stumble was the characters said directly on the camera that they'd "meet in season 2", which never happened. But I think this was perfect already.

This show is SUPER hilarious & SUPER romantic AT THE SAME TIME. Which is precisely what I seem to love the most... I'll definitely re-watch this and keep it in my k-drama collection.

EDiT: Just re-watched this for the 3rd time... I LOVE this:-)))

High end crash

The storyline really was the usual narcissistic rich and successful ML with the sweet innocent FL. There is some character development for the ML in that he actually has to work out what it means to fall into serious like and his faithful lackey tries to help him through it. It‘s very cliche but it’s my weakness in storyline but then I also grew upon fairy tales.
The soundtrack was terrible. For the first time I actually enjoyed the fact that because I was reading subtitles I could turn off the sound.
The acting was not much better. The only thing I really don’t like about many Asian dramas is their acting ability when crying. I realise that I this case it was meant to be exaggerated for comedic effect but this time was a little overboard.
The best thing about it is that episodes are very short.

Cliche, but does it so well!

The most recent kdramas have always lost me at episode 1, but this hooked me all the way through! I love the short 15 minute episode format, which kept things snappy.

This drama is sooooo funny and silly too! I love it. The side characters and heck Jung Il Woo too had me in stitches. Great comedic timing and chemistry from this cast of characters.

It's going down as one of my favourites. I'm so glad I happened to start this short little drama. The only minus point, is Jung Il Woo is a jerk in this. So much shouting and wrist-grabbing!

A very fun, easy to watch kind of movie.. I lauged throughout the movie.. The story itself is common, nothing new, but somehow it makes me happy watching. Its a far cry to any serious drama.. And i definitly would like to rewatch this movie.. The short duration also helps :-) very entertaining drama with good songs.
