Daebak! This is one of the dramas that hilariously hooks you from the start! Unfortunately the ratings werent that high since it was airing at the same time as other dramas like W, however I think that this drama was unique and funny in its own way.

STORY
The plot was unique- it's about two men who died from unjust circumstances and gets the chance to come back and relive their lives for a short period of time as somebody else, however they are not allowed to reveal themselves or take revenge for their deaths.

The Good
This drama is downright hilarious in the way that Han Gi Tak came back in a women's body (Han Hong Nan) and he/she is seriously the funniest actress ever! Man, she's one of my favourite actress now since she could portray such a realistic 'masculinity'. Rain also did a fantastic job at his character as he played as the other ahjussi reborn into this super hot guy and he's not afraid to flaunt it.

I seriously loved how the writers incorporated 4 different people and mashed them into 2, as Rain and Oh Yoon Seo (Han Hong Nan/ Han Gi Tak) seriously did a fantastic job at portraying the two ahjussi's personality! Special mention to Li Ha Nui (Yi Yeon) as she can seriously act and show emotions through the simplest gestures!

Although I loved Hae Joon and Da Hye's relationship, I actually looked more forward in learning about Han Gi Tak's background. Yeah Hae Joon is good-looking and all, but he didn't have a huge backstory to his character and Han Gi Tak was so much more interesting as a character! Plus once he went into the body of Han Hong Nan- his interactions with his boys (namely Seung Jae) was the few scenes I actually looked forward to the most.

The Music is a godsend- it was perfect with its instrumentals or funky beat songs which made the drama even better!

The Bad
I have to admit, but the story does get draggy at parts- especially when Hae Joon acts like a complete child towards his wife out of spite. I get slightly bored during the scenes where he and Dah Hye interacted (although it was cute) but it might be my biased of wanting to watch Gi Tak/Hong Nan's scenes more.

There were also unfinished plotholes and I wasn't a fan of parts of the ending. Yes, there were plotlines that tied up in the end which even surprised me at times, but it was just the end that made me want to hit my head against the wall because i was far from satisfied!

Overall? This drama is great! If you want a hilarious fun light drama, this is it! Of course, this may not interest some of you since it does get boring at times, but I do suggest giving this a try!

Watch if you don't mind slow burn dramas

Minimal spoilers, but the show doesn't really reward you for your investment. Honestly what the daughter said rings true "if everyone likes you, dad will feel pitiful". And that's the whole thing, the main lead was acting like the typical arrogant jerk, ofc this was from his anger against his wife and her ex but geezus... the only real indication which reminded the wife of her husband was that he was picking out stuff from the curry... Every other time she would just go damnn doesnt he remind me of my late husband. Honestly the drama was worth the watch around the 2nd story line with han gi tak.

All in all, watch for the bromance, the hilarity of a actress pretending to be a man in a woman's body. Do not watch if your expecting any romance.

funny!!

I enjoyed this drama a lot!! The storyline draws me in and makes me stay till the end, it was unique and I was looking forward how they coped with it and what will be the ending. There were lots of silly jokes, sometimes it weren't funny but I laugh most of the time. The chemistry between every character with every other character was top notchh love it a lot. In the middle it became repetitive and kinda slow but towards the ending it pick up the pace. The ending was well thought and very nice :) If you're looking for comedy with warmth kind of drama do watch this :)

I watched this because of a funny clip I saw in Facebook, I looked it up and thought the synopsis was interesting plus it was categorized as comedy. I am not familiar with the actors and actresses except for RA Mi Ran and Kang Ki Young.
I find the plot was good but the structure could have been so much better. There really was no solid reason for Han Gi Tak to return and as much as I like his and Hong Nan’s acting I had a hard time empathizing with his cause. I find the chemistry between all the couples was non-existent. If there was any it did not reach my heart, a lot of unnecessary screaming and crying in between did not help either. All is not lost however because Joon Hae’s relationship with Han Na and Hal-abeoji were genuine and heartfelt, real tearjerker for me. To be honest I was hoping for a Seungjae and Hong Nan ship.
It was funny the odd times but I would not say that this is a comedy, not by a long shot. With all the times I fell asleep while watching and pressing the forward button I’m afraid that I could not recommend this drama for my friends to watch.

Series was amazing, truly heartfelt. The acting was spectacular. The story is about two men who die but return, in different bodies, to take care of unfinished business. Complications arise, secrets are revealed and healing happens. A real insightful eye opener. You laugh and cry watching this. The only thing I can’t give a 10 is the ending. Although it ended on a positive and went smoothly I just felt like I was missing something. Even though it wasn’t my kind of ending, I would still recommend it.

Lots of comedic moments, good character interaction, disappointing ending

8/10 is my rating. This is a 2016 supernatural comedy romance with 16, 60 minute, episodes. It is also known as Come Back Alive.
Shin Da-hye (Lee Min-jung) is the wife of a nondescript apartment store manager at a Department Store. Kim Young-soo (Kim In-kwon) knows he neglects his beautiful wife for work and always promises they will spend more time together in the future. That future is cut short when he falls to his death while trying to repair something. Even in death, his company fails to properly acknowledge him and attributes his death to suicide so they are not accused of overworking their employees. Young-soo arrives in the Afterlife at the same time as Han Gi-tak (Kim Soo-ro) who also died suddenly. Gi-tak is a successful restaurant owner with a young staff he considers family. Because he was formerly a gangster, his love for Actress Song Yi-yeon (Lee Ha-nui) ended because she could not be associated with his former lifestyle. Yi-yeon shows up suddenly to ask for help in a blackmail situation her ex husband, Cha Jae-gook (Choi Won-young), perpetrated to gain custody of their child. has whipped up a scandal to force her to give him their child, and threatens Yi-yeon with it. In pursuit of a blackmailer, Gi-tak gets in a car accident and comes to close to Young-soo. While being processed to head to Heaven the two men determine they must go back to resolve some things. After a desperate escape, both men are given two months to wrap up their unresolved issues. There are, of course, a list of exceptions and rules. Each man is sent back in a new body, the gangster as a beautiful woman, Han Hong-nan (Oh Yeon-seo), and the store section manager as an attracrptive young man, Lee Hae-joon (Rain). From the beginning both “men” have a hard time following the AfterLife’s three rules: 1) They can not reveal their true identities. 2) Revenge is forbidden. 3) They cannot engage in human affairs.

spollers**. as a comedy there were some laugh out loud funny moments. The older gangster guy winding up in a young attractive female body lent it self to some very funny situations. It was also amusing that this middle-aged nerdy looking guy comes back as a handsome well-built Chaebol son. The story around their lives and the people they came back for is really interesting and I loved the friendships that developed and the interplay between all the characters. It would be very hard if you came back and people did not recognize you to avoid telling those you cared about who you were and what he knew especially when you see them suffering over your death. There were bad guys that were doing things that added some conflict to the story. It was one of the few I have watched were well into it I was not sure who would wind up with whom or if anyone would wind up together romantically and how it might end up. I thought of at least three possibilities and hoped that the first two would be the ending. I like happy and I don’t care for trying to make it very real. If it ended one of the ways I hoped for I would’ve rated this much higher because the majority of it was very good. However the fact that one of them was basically erased from everyone’s memory and the other left a big hole in everyone’s lives did not seem like a good ending it left me feeling rather sad. At the end of it they were showing possible reincarnations and the characters were reacting to them sort of like I know you from somewhere but you have no idea if they would get together or if it was just to show that those particular beings tend to revolve around each other as one of the philosophies of reincarnation. If you are OK with an ending that is not completely happy this is definitely worth watching for the first 14 or so episodes. The last tso episodes are not really bad and it does wrap up a lot of plot points but if you’re like me and were hoping for some of the happier outcomes that just doesn’t happen.

A comedy that deals with after life issues and family drama. Though the comedy part wasn't that good and eventually it was overshadowed, not to say overlapped by the family drama, the drama was quite interesting, and in a way entertaining. The story centres around two men, who have died and come back in different bodies, one as a successful young man and the other as a young woman. Okay, first, the positives of this drama: -the leading lady was amazing in her role as a man reincarnated in a woman's body. Her role was comical as well as dynamic, and she was really good in acting with her "ex lover". -some parts were funny -the family dynamics were really touching Now, for the negative: -the final episode was so-so with the main characters just ending their mission -the guy's obsession with his wife. I mean, from one point on, it was tiring -the twists were unnecessary So, all in all, a so-so drama, so 5 out of 10.

I only really decided to watch this drama because of one particular clip I saw with some sexual innuendos and colossal misunderstandings due to said incident. It was absolutely hilarious and my interest was officially peaked. The main reason why I was ever uninterested was because I never really heard many people talking about it, so I was kind of wondering, "maybe it's not worth the time...?"

But OMG I am SO glad that I finally watched it! I essentially binge watched it (I would have finished it much faster if I could have, but alas, adult duties call ;) ). I was hooked from the very beginning. The characters were all interesting and I did not find one single character horribly annoying or intolerable. I enjoyed the plot and each of the characters in their own ways.

Usually the actress, Lee Min Jung is someone I either hate or am indifferent toward in a drama, but in this one, her character was pleasant and justified in her actions, so I enjoyed her scenes with other characters just as much as other main characters. I'm happy that I've finally found a drama with her that I don't dislike her in.

I've never seen Lee Ha Nui in a drama before, but she was particularly wonderful to watch. She did a great job portraying all these different emotions and feelings WHILE still being sexy! It was great! And even though she was depressed, vulnerable, and weak (especially in the beginning), she never became annoying or intolerable during the drama.

But the actor that I think deserves the absolute most recognition is Oh Yeon Seo. She did an absolutely amazing portrayal of a man in a woman's body. Portraying her character's fumbling and ungraceful mannerisms as well as deepening her voice were just some of the nuances that she established to truly reflect a man inhabiting her body. Her performance was amazing in this role and has motivated me to look into her other dramas simply to experience her acting again. I sincerely applaud her amazing performance!

The only reason why this drama did not score a perfect 10 is because :::START SPOILER::: I wasn't happy with how Han Gi Tak was forgotten/erased in the end. I don't think it was necessarily fair, especially compared to how Young Soo definitely fell into some gray area with his wife figuring out it was him before he left to go back to heaven... I understand that Gi Tak probably felt like it was better to be forgotten so Song Yi Yeon and Da Hye could live without guilt or mourning, but it doesn't sit right with me. He was a great man and deserved to be remembered.

And also, the end scene was a bit confusing. I've thought it over a number of times and I'd like to think that Hong Nan's doppelganger was ACTUALLY Gi Tak (with the wedgie pulling and everything) and not just someone who looked like him. The fact that we don't actually know what happened to Gi Tak for sure is simply unsatisfying (the angel, Maya, never specified what would happen to them after they were erased...). Plus, the smile between the real Lee Hae Joon and Hong Nan (doppelganger?) in the last few moments could have so many meanings! Honestly, that last scene all together is an anomaly that can be interpreted in so many ways that it hurts my soul. Its just not fair. I loved the drama so much and just needed a true resolution for ALL the characters. Is Lee Hae Joon in the last scene really Lee Hae Joon, or is it Young Soo and that's why he was giggling at Hong Nan and then smiled? Was that Gi Tak in Hong Nan's body or was that just someone who looked like (and acted like, remember wedgie picking) Hong Nan and it's just a coincidence? But then, why did she turn around and smile? Ugh. :::END SPOILER::: And THIS is why Please Come Back Mister did not get a 10/10 from me. Everything else was so nicely wrapped up and people were coming to terms and moving on. I was truly okay with them going back to heaven, but this ambiguous ending leaves me dissatisfied and simply unhappy with the ending.

Overall, this drama was truly wonderful (if you disregard the incomplete and therefore, unsatisfactory ending). Every episode made me laugh - upon multiple occasions I called my brother to show him some of the most hysterical scenes, which cracked him up too (and he's not even a K-drama fan!). This drama also had some more unexpectedly tender and heart-wrenching moments. But the producers did such a great job of balancing the sober moments with the comedic. I never felt like the drama lost its comedic side (which usually happens toward the end of a drama when shit hits the fan), which I was so happy to see. Also, the OST was GREAT! I loved every song and I didn't get tired of hearing any of the OST songs. I will likely rewatch this drama down the road and I will most definitely be adding this OST to my playlist. Highly recommend, especially for those who don't mind a relatively open-ended ending. Happy watching!

I love Rain like most fans, but I did not enjoy his character in this one, who basically screams and grimaces a lot, and the hair didn’t fit him at all. He is completely unrecognizable as Rain, and that’s not a good thing. In fact, most of this cast struggles and spends their time screaming in a storyline that has some good moments, yes, but loses focus so quickly and badly that after Ep 8 I skimmed the rest and didn’t miss a thing. For me, there are too many dramas that truly are great to spend anymore time on one I don’t enjoy.

I don't even know where to begin with this show. I was utterly amazed with the acting initially. There was something beautiful about turning away guaranteed goodness for the sake of family. The two main protagonists antics as well, are so fun and captivating, and it's the type of friendship I dream of having one day. I genuinely laughed while watching, and sometimes I just bawled because of the emotion and beauty of humans that shows when people simply care about each other. Please Come Back, Mister, is really extraordinary
