I was honestly so excited to watch this even though this came out some time ago. The beginning of this show..it is soo good. Tbh I think this show was created with a brilliant idea and when I saw the actors I became even more excited. However, I found some problems in this drama. Yes, the couple had chemistry but the love story was not well written. It was too sudden and I did not feel real and honest love between them. I do not know if it makes sense but they did not feel like a couple to me. They are good actors though.

For me, the star of this drama was Kim Eui Sung. I loved his performance. However, I do not like what they did to his character by the end. It really hit me in the final episode. His relationship with his daughter was kinda messy if that makes sense. I liked Lee Shi Eon's performance as I got to see a variety of reactions from his character that I found really interesting.

This show had too many twists. It made me tired and even bored sometimes. This show leaves you with more questions than answers tbh. Another thing (I am not going to do paragraph because it leaves this text weird looking), is that I think that the majority of the characters, except the ones I mentioned, were doing nothing for the show. They did not have a really important role and in my opinion, just filled some minutes.

Soooo many flashbacks. Why? Hm?

I don't think I will rewatch this drama any time soon because I do not think that I will remember him a lot. What I will remember is the drawing. Really amazing tbh.

I watched this drama in 2 days and it left me a little bit disappointed because when I saw 8.7/10, I honestly thought it would be an amazing show. It was okay but nothing beyond amazing. So yes..if you are a fan of a show with many twists and are not bothered with romance (like it does not bother you that their love is badly written), this show is for you I think. Thank you for reading my review :) Have a nice day.

WOW

First of all, I was quite hesitant to watch this, because I was quite disappointed with Memories of the Alhambra, which was also written by the same writer. But I am so glad that I did. The story itself is told with great layers, and it is quite obvious that they did manage it well enough that it does not feel dragging like many series. So I can say it outright, the story itself hold the series high above.

Now to the nitty gritty. I find it in the first few episodes they 'recap' a lot of time. As someone who is binge watching this show, I kinda get annoyed because I was like - I just saw that in previous episode, no need to reiterate it. As the episodes go on, they do it less and less, and in fact when they have some kind of 'recap', it was because they are adding layers to the story - which is great.

The rules of travelling. They established at first how Yeon Joo travel into webtoon and how she exits. Ok, good. But then after awhile, this has been confusing as she was able to easily go back and forth. And then you also have Kang Chul, who can easily interdimensional travel too by will. I'm just annoyed, since they should have clearly make a rule on how these characters able to travel. But I guess they have to take leeway on those things to tell story.

It's funny how the series always draw car and syringe. Clearly the car is a product placement, I would have get a plane or helicopter - or why can't they just teleport people using the tablet? The evil doppelganger of the dad was able to get in and out of the studio with a screen, why did the main characters decide to use cars to travel? And seriously, you have so many cars passing by, none of them stops to help a bleeding man on a bus stop? Is that for real?

The ending was great and satisfying. Actually the show gave great setup and conclusions half way through at episode 13 where they can easily finish the series. So for those who are fans of the romance side of the series, I think it's very satisfying ending.

Music is great, I have no problem with it.

For anyone coming into this show looking for romance first, this is not the series for you. It's science fiction meets social commentary, and it's done brilliantly. The relationship does help drive the plot yet it doesn't feel like it needs to revolve around their emotions. And if you've ever been a part of a large fandom then you'll appreciate the way it taps into the consciousness of the people who become invested in a character's story. Kim Eui Sung is an amazing actor and did a spot-on performance as the Cartoonist, his ability to immediately switch direction with his demeanor is mesmerizing.

But, most importantly, you have to pay attention at all times. Rewind if you miss dialogue, pause if you need to read the translation. Everything is well laid out and explained properly if you are patient. Obviously this show will not appeal to everyone, but to those of us it does it is an amazing ride!

For all Kdrama enthusiasts, W – Two Worlds is a must-see drama that offers a fresh perspective on the beloved traditional elements of the genre. The writing is the backbone of the show and it is brilliantly executed. The plot is one-of-a-kind and keeps the audience engaged with its numerous unexpected twists and turns. The supernatural theme is convincing and the show has a manga-like feel to it. The ending is unpredictable, so don't even attempt to guess it.

Honestly, this is one of my favorites and it is not only because of Lee Jong Suk. The story to me is so unique and it had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. It not only brings a lot of funny scenes but also a lot of emotions. I loved the whole concept of it and I honestly felt a lot for the main character and it made me think a lot about other fictional characters and what they have to go through. Just soo interesting. The love part was very well done, it made me really root for them to be together - very lovely. I want to rewatch it one day and I hope it makes me feel the same way as it did the first time.

W is one of my fav koran drama in 2016..
1. I like the chemistry between two main leads
2. The story is just so enjoyable and entertaining
3. The love scene of those two main leads was pretty intense and cute to watch
4. It's happy ending :)
There are some unfortune and sad scenes that I don't really like..
And the webtoon charactee lives in real world and vice versa seems impossible, but this is the fantasy deama after all rihpght? We shouldn't use logic watching it :)
I recommend this drama to those who like fantasy story, if fantasy is not your thing maybe you won't enjoy it as much as I do

Drags on forever

My biggest complaint about this drama is that it feels like it drags on forever. How many times are they going to try to execute a plan and then it fail? The time that was spent laying out and explaining the plan to the viewer was a waste of time because I, as the viewer, knew that the plan was going to fail. I also felt like the romantic montages were a waste of time. Finally, how many times is Kang Cheol supposed to almost die???

That being said, I watched until the end because the premise itself is extremely intriguing. I love TV shows/dramas that include a storyline with multiple dimensions. I also like Lee Jong Suk as an actor. I feel like this drama had so much potential with this original storyline, but again, it felt so dragged out that by the end of the drama I was just ready for it to be over. I'm giving it 6.5 stars because I did think that the acting was very good, the storyline was intriguing, and I did care about what happened to the characters. I don't think I could sit through this drama again though because it was just so dang long.

this drama is by far the most fantastic and excelleny drama. I personally feels and thinks it surpasses Goblin and i dont know why Goblin is so overrated given its quality compared to the W. sorry its my opinion.. Though Goblin is high budget type yet it is predictable . However W is the opposite and everything in it calls perfection.

The separation and combination of both comic world and reality is refreshing compared to the normal time travel kdrama. The spark and romance between Lee jong suk and the female lead is exciting and so excellent. Every element seems to incorporate in the drama. It will definitely catches ur attention from the first episode itself.

The comic writer seems to be the perpetrator at last which is quite heartbreaking to see. However prepare to sit in a ride to see the challenges and adversities both the male and female lead face to meet a really sweet happy ending.

This drama is very refreshing and sets kdrama a level above. Really hope will be a season 2.

Amazing

I felt like I really needed to write the review.
I've watched sooo many dramas that I actually forgot how a drama feels like. I was too much focused on the story plot and only this drama brought back how I used to like the romance between the male and female lead. Luckily no triangle love story. Though it is an Suspense thriller story the little sweet romance was more than alluring. I blushed and laughed as if I was there in that drama. It's a must watch. No wonder everyone loves Lee Jong Suk.

Mix of THRILLER, FANTASY, ROMANCE, COMEDY...

Despite the “flaws” that people mention, I loved this one, and it is one of my fav Kdrama. The two leads have such strong chemistry — unlike any other Kdrama I’ve ever watched. It was so beautiful to see how the two characters were constantly drawn to each other even with all the obstacles they faced. If you love a mix of thriller, romance, fantasty, and comedy, this one’s for u. Loved the whole concept, and I was constantly hooked. The actors btw r jus brilliant, would love to see them act together again.

That one thing, which after more than 50 kdramas led to finally make an account here

Spoilers ahead. Major spoilers. Don't read ahead if you haven't seen it already.

.

.

I've been watching kdramas for a while now. And the one thing, that, as a filmmaker, led me to finally make an account here, is to mention the one, probably the main, gaping plot-hole, that is, Oh Seung-moo being such a bad writer (mind me here, his art is spectacular, obviously), that he released so many episodes of his manhua without even having the slightest idea, or preparation of who the actual killer is? I mean, if I was a faceless killer, I would've been the same level of pissed as Kang-Chul when he discovered the reality.

And I absolutely love how well they have stitched the manhua world and real world together. And I genuinely enjoy watching it. But the only fact that no writer on earth would set one main objective for their protagonist, and set them as their main goal, would not give any thoughts to it. Idk, but that probably explains why he hasn't been famous all these years before this manhua. Given the situation though, the characters are behaving very naturally for people who have discovered that they are not real.

(I have also not completed watching it yet, so I will post edits and updates to my previous comment. I am also quite drunk, binging on this series, so I will get back to this when I'm sober to see if I've said any bs that I don't agree with while I'm sober. Although ranting this long about kdramas is not something I usually do, so I might also be drunk the next time I visit this post. Or not, because I'm going to seek treatment)

Also, I apologise for unrelated oversharing.
