First are the comparisions. They have the same concept, but in kimi wa petto I still feel that matsumoto jun was way cuter, like puppy dog cute, but JGs was the kind of puppy you could see as a man. The chemistry between Ha Neul and JGS was like brother sister and she didn’t start off as cold as the lady from kimi wa petto- maybe because a drama has more time. Still, the movie brought out some points that the drama didn’t touch on, and although they are very similar, it almost feels like a different story.
I really like how they pretty much let JGS get manish from day one, so when the transition from pet to man came it didn’t seem so awkward. I didn’t like that there were some holes in the plot (I filled them in myself from kimi wa petto), and I also didn’t like how JGS’s goal was so sketchy and undefined. ballet to musicals? really?? his dancing seemed a bit stiff, and a bit much, but singing was heavenly. (but they did show off his singing, so yea! i missed it after YAB.)
All in all I would definitely watch again I liked all the eye candy, and the concept from the drama. If it can convert an Arashi, matsujun fan girl like me, it will be fun for all.

The storyline is built up very nicely, the actors are awesome (especially the female lead!) and somehow they were able to mix drama, comedy and lovestory in a pleasant way - it's not too much or too less from everything. It's a good and well-balanced movie who deserves recognition beyond the original. I have to confess that I liked this interpretation much more.
I'm going that far and insist that this movie is not based on the Japanese original but is inspired by it- that sounds so much more precise and may be able to change your expectations (and prejudices) on that movie.
Definitely a must watch!
Cheers,
Genshi

There are some cute moments between the lead couple as they get to know each other. However, there are some other random moments in the movie involving supporting characters like the friends of Kim Hanuel's character, which don't seem to be relevant at all to the main storyline.
There are no surprises to be expected - after all, with a period of cohabitation between 2 people, there's bound to be mutual attraction and we see that playing out as the line between a pet-master relationship and a romantic relationship start to blur.
Don't expect too much if you want to enjoy it. Recommended for a light-hearted movie break.

Jang Geun Suk playing Momo - could there be something more adoreable?
(And to be fair, he does play the part fairly well!)
But unfortunately the movie failed to deliver on all other parts. The story was rushed, the editing frantic at times. If I hadn't watched the Japanese version before, I wouldn't have been able to follow the story or at least thought it was utterly stupid.
I love the Japanese dorama and watched it several times.
So my advice: Give the movie a try and then, no matter whether you loved or hated it, WATCH THE DORAMA and see what this story could and should have been if done right!

It’s really refreshing to see Jang Keun-Suk with a light-hearted and go-with-the-flow character. His character was very sexy, crawling on floor to address his ‘master’ and even pulling down his shorts at one point. I really saw him in a different light. Trust me when I say, for those of you who loved him in You’re Beautiful, your thoughts about him aren’t going to be so pure. Especially with those dance moves and the bathtub scenes. With his cute and funny acting, you can’t help but admire the fact that in addition to manly roles (Itaewon Homicide) he can be cutesy as well.
The romance was so adorable and interesting. Not many people would agree to being someones pet. It was intriguing to see their relationship grow and develop over time. How she only thought of him as Momo and then towards the end fell in love with him. It was very funny to see the way he acted with her, saying perverted things like, “I only touched your chest,” and her reaction. They seemed to have some good chemistry on screen.
While I admire the romance, I don’t admire Eun-Yi as a person. While she is hardworking, I found her very weak. For example, you don’t bring your first love to your house, while another man is living with you. I mean, come on, no one is that stupid.
Music: It had some pretty good tunes, nothing I would put on my iPod though, if you know what I mean. There was one song that was sung in Engrish by JGS. I couldn’t understand half of what he was saying but the melody along with the acoustic guitar sounded nice. He just needs better pronunciation.
Cast/Acting: A lot of people are saying that JGS was cast to show off his dancing and singing skills. In reality he had to take dance lessons for this role. It isn’t as if he was cast soles because of his dancing. I think he did a great job, as I said earlier. While there is room for improvement and he could have done better, I think he did pretty good.
Kim Ha Neul, was okay. I can’t give her too much credit because it isn’t that hard to play a normal, stupid girl in love. There wasn’t much of a challenge and she didn’t really do anything but keep one man on a leash while another guy pursued her. With that in mind, her chemistry with JGS wasn’t that bad. They were cute together.
Rewatch Value: 9

The movie is super adorable, and I wouldn't mind having Jang Geun Seok as a pet, he's suuuuuuuuuuupercute. I know, he's a really good actor but he mostly get's roles that are manly and cool. But seeing him acting cute was on a whole other level. Made me fell in love with him again and realize that he's just too good to be true! *o* You really won't be disappointed by any of the actors, they play their roles really good. Unlike the drama version, I really couldn't stand the guy playing momo. o.o The mean girl made you hate her, the sweet momo made you fall in love with him, the ex made you laugh (because he just doesn't have any luck! XD). The cast is really good!
The other thing I liked about this is that they made it a movie instead of a drama. The story could proceed in a normal pace without letting the audience get bored. It's a perfect runtime for the plot!
The thing I didn't like as much was the music. Sure, it wasn't bad, it's Jang Geun Seok who's singing after all.. But I got a bit confused at the musical. (Can't say more, you'll see for your self if you decide to watch it!) (WITCH I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD!)
Personally, I found a new favourite! :D So I really recommend you to watch this if you like comedy (and some romance)

Replacing Matsumoto, Jang Keun Suk takes on the role of the boy who has a sparkling career ahead of him. In Ho is a boy who spends most of his time reaching for his dream. A dancer who wishes to advance to perform in musicals sometimes in the future. Not really having somewhere to live and always ending up having to sleep on the hard wooden floor in the dance studio he manages to fix up an agreement with a buddy of his. He'll take his place as a cleaning lady for a woman who seems to have way to little time on her hands.
Meanwhile, Ji Eun is a woman of unusual status both with height and career. Everything seems to be working out succesfully for her, Except one thing. She Can't seem to find a man who can accept her for the person she is. Not a man who can live up to her standards atleast.. Constantly being let down with guys she decides she wants to get a pet. A Dog that will welcome her when she arrives home from work, A playful dog who'll appreciate all her hard work. In Ho moves in to her apartment and takes the place of his friend with one condition. He has to become her ''Pet..'' Then, She'll do the cleaning herself.. Only becoming a pet won't be enough though.. He has to give up on all human things, Especially sexually. Agreeing to this agreement, A hard road ahead awaits them both as love shows up in the most unexpected place.. A Romance between a Girl and a Boy. Will their Master and Pet relationship come in the way of the romance happening?.. Will the secret about Ji Eun's pet being a human, be revealed?
I really liked this movie.. I actually really didn't have that much expectations to this story atall.. I saw the actual drama a couple of months ago, And I liked it.. But it didn't make my top 5 dramalist.. This movie made my favorite list unexpectedly.
The Rewatch value is plenty high, I actually feel like rewatching it again right now, Despite of just having completed it. The musically score and soundtrack were really good with performances from Keun-Suk himself inserted into the story.
This Movie is a must watch for sure, Especially recommended for rom-com lovers, And fans of the Kimi wa Petto drama..

I do sincerely recommend you to watch this movie but please watch the J-drama version Kimi wa Petto first! You will much more appreciate this movie if you do! :)
4/10
Acting/Cast [9/10] - The movie really only centers around two characters, whose actors Kim Ha Neul and Jang Geun Suk perform their roles superbly.
Music [10/10] - The music is just divine! Jang Geun Suk sings quite a lot of songs and if you're like me, you'll probably relisten to those songs a million times in a loop after you watched the movie!
Rewatch value [7/10] - I really do like this movie and the overall cuteness makes me really happy after finishing watching it. I've seen this movie 2 times now and I don't usually rewatch movies/dramas so I definitely think you can enjoy rewatching it. :D
Go for it! ;D
