Now. Ha Seok Jin is hot. I noticed him well in 'D-Day'. It's a bit different now that instead of a serious doctor he's a spoiled bussinessman, but... If this beats the old version in the kiss department, then it's not in vain;-)) His partner Jeon So Min can be called many things, "hot" sadly not being one of them. Best example are her eyes. Those eyes remind you of old woman. So, while I appreciate casting Ha Seok Jin in a romance with kiss scenes, his partner I had to kind of tolerate/ignore.
Okay, 1st kiss is far from passionate, LOL. But it comes as early as in episode 4, so there can only be progress. It's cute, how completely unrealistic story this is. In reality, the woman would have ZERO chances with a guy so attractive like Ha Seok Jin. And that's not counting the whole money plot. Epi 5 there's the 2nd kiss, and it's also the little peck kind. The 30 years old woman certainly had no reason to get flustered (I think the original version girl wasn't this old, by the way). The plot is still the same old like 13 years ago. If the woman had no interest in the money or in the guy, she had no reason to fake/date him for 1 single day. Not really.
Main guy first takes main woman on boring dates like classic music concerts or art galleries. Then he has a conversation with his friend about what people should do on dates, and the friend insists on things like going into amusement park, watching a movie together, holding hands, calling each other on a phone at night, or buying flowers. Like any of that is original and less boring, lol.
Best example is when the woman attempts to show up in "sexy" dress. The dress is still quite conservative, it's of kinda beige, unobtrusive colour which underlines the actress' own pallor, yet one guy whistles after seeing her and the main guy tells her that she can't "go around half naked". It's like they don't suppose viewers have eyes. There's nothing much to see on the woman while she's wearing her regular clothes. When she tries to wear "attractive" dress that show more of her, we can see that there's really nothing. That's all. Perhaps that's why they put so many cartoons into the gallery for this drama, lol.
Nevertheless, main guy almost blushes looking at some pictures of her, which looks kind of ridiculous given that Ha Seok Jin is like 34 in this. If he was in his twenties, like the 2003 version guy was, perhaps it would look more understandable. When he misses their date because of a bomb thread in his hotel, she's all sulky, which I would also understand if she was 20, not 30 years old, AND living in today's times when security threads are not looked upon lightly. They have a moody argument like two youngsters would, while it's late at night and both of them have the looks of professionals tired from work. She's supposed to be special person who changes the main guy. After 6 episodes, she doesn't look like it.
Episode 7, there's a hug scene. In a way, it's better than the 2 previous kisses, which looked similar to how he'd kiss a small child. Then they have another date, in a park. Main guy comes dressed in a suit of such style and colour that only the attractiveness of Ha Seok Jin saves it (I'm not even commenting on HER clothes). Seriously, I would "love" to see the costume designer for this drama. Instead of trying to drive attention away from this flaw, the drama flaunts it by the main girl's best friend being a clothing store manager or owner or smth. The people in this drama should better sh*t up about clothes. All that all the characters wear is horrendous. Also main girl repeatedly treats main guy like one of the children in her care (she works in a middle school). It's funny one time, kinda awkward repeated times. She then makes him celebrate his birthday the corny style, and he tells her it's also anniversary of his brother's death. Speaking of awkward. Things get hot for one moment and he plain asks her to kiss him. She doesn't, then when they're parting she gives him a shy peck. It's now 3rd one in a row.
Watching episode 8... It's like watching a story which was supposed to have a different cast. Because these two really don't fit it. The guy is very attractive, but clearly different age than the role. The main girl... well, woman... also looks absurd answering questions of her super worried mother, who is all concerned her daughter is seeing a wealthy guy for a contract. Like she might lose her virginity to some vile rich guy, lol. He appears all moody on her doorstep, feeling neglected (because she didn't answer his text), demanding she at least takes a walk with him... Perhaps this is all adapted from the earlier version where the guy was a youngster (I don't remember it to the detail, it's been a while since I watched the old show). She goes with him, wearing something that looks like a hospital gown... It's all so weird to watch. Not that I'd wish to re-watch the previous version where a simple kiss was a problem, but at least, there one could understand the flaws: that show is DATED. What was going on HERE is beyond me.
And kisses? Episode 8 finally delivers, it happens on the children's playground. The two of them look like they are fighting some early middle-age crisis there though, lol.
Episode 9... I know I should be enjoying myself, but I'm not. I'm bored. I'm not even swooning over Ha Seok Jin anymore. He looks like a thirties daddy already. Perhaps he should be cast in some family comedy, now.

The definition of Sweet
This drama is the ultimate korean romance drama..Both leads , you will love them, you will cheer for them, you will laugh when they laugh, and be sad when they're sad...
As the headline said.... the definition of sweet.
The scenario in itself is not very original, but watching how their relation progress is really really enjoyable.
This drama focus a lot on the main characters, so no waste of time on useless side characters.
Watching it in 2021 or later, this drama may look a bit old. Nowadays dramas are done with better gear, better lightning and overall artistic direction, but it did not really bothered me.
The pacing in this drama is okay, it could have been better with a 12 -13 episodes format.
I believe, i will crave to rewatch it again very soon, that's how much i loved this couple.

Perfection!
This was perfect! The chemistry between the ML and FL was insane! Lots of heart fluttering moments and lots of passionate kisses! I loved how the ML was super protective, and jealous! It was adorable! I also loved how he firmly rejected the woman who was trying to take him from the FL…..multiple times! This will definitely be one of those shows that I will rewatch over and over.

Mature, intelligent and entertaining, even if it's a contract marriage story.
This drama gets a full, unapologetic rating of TEN stars. With the exception of 2 KDrama tropes, most of the "expected usuals" were put aside for an intriguing, funny, heartwarming, and romantically mature series. Much more grown up a drama than one is accustomed to find as the norm in Romance Kdramas.Released in 2016, it is a totally fresh twist of telling a story about the conglomerate family heir and all that's expected of him. There is no lacking, mousy low-income girl facing off against the rich guy who needs to intimate her. And there is no silly emotionally immature behavior between these young adults.
Our "heir apparent" Lee Jae In is worldly, cold, and focused on his own goals; he's had many shallow dating relationships. Kim DaDa is our female lead from a middle-class family and has no debt to hinder her life choices or make her the least bit desperate; she's fully aware of herself and is comfortable bing who she is. In a word, she can hold her ground intellectually. She certainly has more depth of personality than you expect when you first meet her because she is such a kind person.
Ha Seok Jin and Jun So Min are the two actors in our lead roles: I've never seen them before in my almost 200 dramas. Neither is fabulously handsome, but they are utterly convincing and likable from the first episode. In the many supporting roles and many actors with very familiar faces and they all do such a great job that this drama lacks nothing in its story telling and has no "slow episodes" either.
The plot surrounds how the lead couple enter into a contractual relationship due to the interference of the retired conglomerate Chairman, who is also Jae In's grandfather. It's a stoke of forward thinking and wisdom on his part and how this spark unfolds is where this series shines above many of the usual dramas we've come to know.
The only failing I could find in this production was the OST; it's a bit mediocre with reliance on a few boring "Western" pieces. The Korean language ballads are however, beautiful and suit the scenes very well.
I do HIGHLY RECOMMEND this drama. Why it isn't as popular is a bit of mystery. But maybe it's because of marketing budgets. The quality of the costumes and cinematography are above average but not exceptional but isn't necessary for your entertainment.

100% love with kisses sprinkled all throughout
One of my favorite dramas of all time because of how awesome the love between the couple was and how they basically only focused on them and they didn't try to fluff it up or add unnecessary parts every part was almost always completely necessary and it explained a piece of the story that you needed to know. I really liked how it was a lighthearted and how even the sad parts were understandable and you didn't feel mad because it was not like an understandable breakup it was really nice I really really liked it and I liked how they went into their lives even after they got married which usually drama don't do and I really love seeing that and I feel like my characters got married enough together for the rest of their lives which I love. Also can I add that the female lead was so strong she had a spinal like anything I've ever seen before usually they'll let the villain walk all over them this girl had to come back every single time and she did not fail I loved it that was so good I've never seen that before in drama so also I recommend it for that.
The rewatch value for this is so high just because I will recommend this to anybody since it's just so fun to watch and it's really cute so yeah if you like where couples stay together no matter what and just love each other then you will like this one a lot it's just so cute so fun.

"This is an oldie but goodie series "
A beautiful love story that will leave you feeling good at the end not emotionally traumatized and stressed. The story is simple, beautifully written and the cast bring it to life in an amazing way. The lead actors' chemistry and banter is so good to watch. I was smiling with/at them in many scenes. And the kisses were 🔥....no dead fish lips here! No car crash, no amnesia, no over the top rich in-laws against the marriage, no backstabbing friends, no loose ends. It all came together beautifully! And the best part for me was the female lead though not rich was confident, brave yet respectful. She stood up for herself and didnt make me feel pity or embarrassed for her- which is usually the case in most rich boy / poor girl stories. "This is an oldie but goodie series " The one word that comes to mind after watching this series is REFRESHING!Was this review helpful to you?
Totally Sweet
For a relaxing non complicated binge with humor, sincerity, and romance, this is worth watching.Loved the chemistry between all the actors, the music, and the development of the story.
What more can I say to fill up 300 characters without disclosing too much?!!! This is just enough to whet your interest.

Loved this series.
So well put together. You really get to hate him at the beginning and as the first episodes unfold - you'll find yourself getting anxious about if she will start to like him too early. He is so good at being bad that you fear anything good will be taken away the next time he is angry. That is good writing and great acting.I don't want to dive into any of the details since so many other reviewers do that well so, I will just stick with that it is something to put and leave in your watch list. You will have favorite moments and go back to them often.
A little side note. In some dramas you can tell the actors/actresses aren't in to each other in the kissing scenes. They are just going through the motions. Not these two - the little details in how they kiss are perfect. Think Korean Odyssey when they kiss each other in the library or, when they finally spend a night together - those kisses/moments are perfect. Same with this series. They are trying so hard not to fall in love but, just can't help it.
You will enjoy this one.

Cute drama to kill time
The drama's biggest appeal is a strong and assertive female lead who holds her own against money and power. Unfortunately, Kim Da Hyeon's assertiveness disappears in later episodes. Instead of being smart and level-headed, she is reduced to a hormonal teenager who fails at communication after a slew of misunderstandings. Although, the main couple resolves their issues fairy quickly, Da Da's propensity to ignore Lee Jae In's phone calls and throwing mini temper tantrums becomes quite tedious. The writers build up Jae In to be an aggressive male lead with an explosive and rude personality. They throw in every tsundere cliche of him wanting Da Da to dress modestly and getting overly handsy, which is off-putting. However, I appreciate that his treatment of his employees changes for the better as he starts to fall in love.
I like the romance and chemistry between the main leads. But, that's all the drama has to offer. All of the secondary characters are very shallow and forgettable. Most of them exist purely to drive a wedge between Jae In and Da Da without having any other purpose or a personality. Han Joo Hee's entire existence is to serve as a romantic rival and appear in front of Da Da spouting the same boring nonsense about her leaving Jae In.
The pacing is alright. But, because the writers do not bother developing an actual plot outside of romance or any of the side characters, 16 episodes seem a lot for such a shallow story. The drama would've benefited from 12-14 episodes.
Overall, the show is enjoyable but forgettable. It was a one-time watch for me.

Main lead (eye candy <3) is just the guy you would love to date - man as he should be. I loved that he was typical chaebol, but nothing like abusive type- which is typical for Kdramas.
This drama is watched in one go and is pure pleasure- everything is on its place without making you cringe or duh.
actors did their best job and main lead expression was always on top exactly letting you feel how the character would have felt.
I wish everybody can find their own 1% <3
