Story: The story was good. It had lots of layers to it with twists and turns...Definitely had some unpredictable points. I did predict a huge twist about half way through but that didn't stop me from enjoying the rest of the movie. If anything, it made it more interesting cuz I wanted to see if I was right and if I was right, how it would play out in the rest of the movie. The story definitely will entertain you.
Acting/Cast: I think the cast was AMAZING in this movie. Everyone played their role well to the point that it seemed that the role was written for them. The actors even had the facial expressions down PACKED! Everyone will find one character that they will love or root for in this movie and because of the story, you have no idea what these character's agendas are...It is just brilliant! Also Who doesn't love Hyun Bin in a suit?!
Music: I always find it hard to review the music because it is the last thing I notice in a drama or movie so I don't really have anything to say for music because I don't really remember noticing it or noticing anything special about it.
Rewatch: I will totally watch this movie again. It is just a nice entertaining movie to put on when you want to relax and get enjoyment out of a movie.
Overall: If you like movies like Oceans Eleven and The Heist, you will love this movie. It is just a fun ride of pure entertainment...also HYUN BIN IN SUITS!!!

- The performances of the lead actors are decent.
- The screenplay is for the most part gripping.
- The action sequences have been shot and executed quite well, most notably a terrific car chase.
- The film starts to get thrilling towards the end, and the climax is quite an unexpected as well as an amazing one.
Negatives:
- The story takes its time to set up, and in the process the writing at times turns a bit uneven.
- The editing is also not without its share of flaws, as the film could've been trimmed slightly.
- The dramatic aspect has not been handled very well.
Repeat value: Low
As a whole, THE SWINDLERS is an entertaining and a decently made crime action film which is worth watching watching once, if you're interested in movies of this kind.

Truth to be told, I am a big fan of con movies and because of that, it's not that hard to please me, I'll buy everything. That said, I believe there are more or less three types of con movies:
~ "complex con story that just clicks by the end and makes everything clear"
~ "complex and unrealistic con story that is just a pure entertainment"
~ bad con movies
This movie fits perfectly into the first category. The moment you think you understand what is going on and what are the motivations behind all the characters, it twists it all... many times. It also has my favorite element: con artists conning other con artists. This allows me to not feel guilt towards whoever gets screwed and just enjoy the ride.
The movie had my blood boiling a few times, got me to laugh at times; overall, definitely evoked some emotional reaction. It ended on a satisfying note too. The performance of the cast was extremely good, especially from Hyun Bin, Yoo Ji Tae and Park Sung Woong, which should not be surprising. There were quite a few plot twists I did not predict, and some I was happy that happened.
The plot is not some grand scheme that involves x number of important characters. It's kept local, with a smaller cast, but rather than making this less spectacular, it gives this feeling of a bit more realism (if we even can talk about levels of realism with con artist movies) which helped me get more involved in the story.
To summarize, everything is a lie in this movie and everyone is conning everyone. And I enjoyed it a lot.

Action filled with really unexpected twists and turns
If you want movies with a twist that will make you say, "Whoa, I didn't see that coming" this is the right pick. Plot-wise, it will bore you on the first half but then towards the end you will realize that the first half has a great contribution on why this movie ended with a BAAAAAM! And it's for you to find out why.With the casts, of course Hyun Bin and Yoo JiTae are really one of the best actors I've watched. The supporting roles are also common faces in dramas and movies so it isn't hard for me to appreciate them together.
All throughout the movie you can also feel the tension and also the actions going on, but when you're about to figure it out, the gears will start changing and give you a different direction. I personally was taken aback and felt like I was conned myself.

great movie with great storyline
2nd time re-watching it and I enjoyed it again. I really love the storyline and acting are all spot on. If you love twist and turns of the great storyline, you better watch it. One of the best con movies! It's about how the con artist planned the whole operation to revenge of his father's murder. You think you know the storyline by guessing through out the movie, but you won't.. in the end. It gonna blow your mind. I always love how things are unfolded in the end and show you why and how he managed the whole operation!Was this review helpful to you?
THE SWINDLERS doesn't swindle and gives full entertainment
I thought I had seen this movie with the first scene of a scam. But then Hyun Bin appears as notorious thief tricking the cops and fleeing, I was like Nahhhh, I haven't seen this one.Then appears a group of swindlers, corrupt politicians and an attorney. All this in first 15 minutes, I mean who wont be curious to know what is going to happen next. This movie movie creates an enticing impact and doesn't let the audience bore.
Making Hyun Bin a mega swindler who only swindles the swindler is the like giving a cherry on cake. As The movie fast paced, its hard to tell who is getting swindled, everyone runs their creative mind with 1000miles of speed to swindle and I am jumping on my sofa trying to figure out whats happening. I enjoyed the whole process of these conning people. the end its truly surprising, and emotional.
The acting is delightful, and engrossing. Hyun Bin is flawless throughout with each scene my heart stops seeing his intense fight sequences. The action sequence are well shot. The guns, fights, jumps are superbly captured.
Every character had their spark and made their presence felt. I enjoyed their incredible performance.
Am totally up for rewatch of THE SWINDLERS. It doesn't swindle the audience but serves its purpose to entertain the audience to the fullest.

Must pay attention!
I must admit that I struggled with this movie, if only for the fact that I usually do other things while watching movies. You CANNOT do that with this movie. The storyline changes on a dime! This movie is like the best sleight of hand - you are looking at one thing, and while you are, they do a bait and switch on you. I never knew what was going to happen from one moment to the next.Excellent cast. I've seen everyone in other works, and enjoyed them each time, but You Ji Tae as Park Hee Soo, was outstanding, playing a different character than I've come to expect from him. Charismatic and yet cold, I never knew what his character was up to. The entire cast had good chemistry with one another, different Swindlers forced to work together. Hyun Bin, I'll be honest, he could probably stand in an empty room and read the phone book out loud, and I'd be in. He was good in this, I kept going back and forth as to whether I liked his character or not.
Low on the re-watch value for me, only because once you know what's going on, you wouldn't be surprised by anything. My only complaint was, and this is just my prude-like personal opinion, but I wish they wouldn't translate the curse words. I don't like to hear them, but if they are in another language, I can pretend they aren't cursing. Seeing them in writing was very jarring. Again, just my personal opinion.
If you've got the time to pay attention, give this movie a watch. You won't be sorry you did.

9 stelle anche per la trama che risulta divertente,e allo stesso tempo un po’ drammatica ,in un giro e rigiro ti incolla allo schermo con una serie di colpi di scena degni di Guy Ritchie
7 stelle per la fotografia e colonna sonora,niente di eccelso ma in ogni caso nel totale è un ottimo lavoro.
Consigliatissimo se cercate un Action ma occhio alle romantiche,non c’è romance,ma ne vale la pena ugualmente
