I liked the romance & the main leads, the second leads and many misc characters as well. The OST was also okay. I liked it that they didn't overdo the triangle in this one. The reason why it's not 10/10 is because the surrounding story is just not very interesting. This whole delivery business vs. big evil corp thing was extremely typical & for the most part boring and 50%+ of the drama was about this. Other reviewers mentioned that they could empathize with the problems that these youths had to face in "helljoseon", but I found many of these outlandish and unfathomable, it's a bit too much drama logics for me. It's not really slice life, but fantasy, which is fine, but they tried to sell it as slice of life.. The ending was also a bit unsatisfying & although it was a happy ending, it was extremely rushed.

For comparison's sake SooBin's most recent drama "Where Stars Land" is very similar in structure & the level of the comedy & flaws in general are also similar, but the life at the Inchineon Airport was WAY more interesting, I liked that show a lot more for that reason.

A strong series among the romantic ones

Happened to notice this Strongest Deliveryman right after watching Start Up (2020). Both series deal with the formation of a company, a delivery company in one case and IT companies in the other case.
I find Strongest Deliveryman better written, with secondary characters better developed, better music, and a better crafted ending.
In spite of the writers of the series being different, the series share points, which cannot be coincidental. Here are two:
1. grandmas running eateries, who in both series play a fundamental role in starting the companies;
2. Kim Seon Ho, who has the second male lead role both series, is nicknamed "good boy" in both cases.

Strongest Deliveryman is not a standout drama by any means. The plots are pretty standard of what you'll find in other dramas, just standard David vs Goliath. What it does differently is highlights some of the difficulties and challenges faced, from the perspective of a deliveryman/deliverywoman and low-income citizens.

I personally think the story progresses nicely, but it did take me a few episodes to warmup to the Jin-Gyu and Ji-Yoon's personalities as I find the antics a little over the top. However, I absolutely love the romantic moments between Kang Soo and Dan Ah.

Overall, I think it's a good show if you are looking for some light drama romantic comedy.

It is such an honest drama that you can feel its sincerity. It made me cry. Kim Sun Ho’s acting really made me cry.

I started it not expecting much but got so much. It shows beautiful friendships and hardships. Even though people fight, they make up like old friends make up with each other.
It is a drama with beautiful people; everyone is lovely and friendly.
The second couple is the Best!
And the music is lovely too.
It is a slice of life drama that doesn't feel like a slice of life drama but still something to relate to and gives a feel of a slice of life drama...

It's actually a good one if it wasn't for Cha Soo Bin's acting. The plot is average. The kind of predictable drama that you would just binge-watch when you have nothing to do. But I see it actually as a waste of time. I watched it for Go Kung Pyo and Kim Seon Ho but I was decieved with the rest. It's quite original for the fact that it's a story about deliverymen among all other jobs and it was quite funny at times. Give it a try if you like Cha Soo Bin. But I would rather recommend that you watch "I'm Not a Robot" instead it's a hundred times better.

I don't think it ended as strong as it started (it began to drag a bit in the last quarter, lost the darker edge it started out with, and certain plot points weren't given as much attention as they deserved), but I enjoyed it for what it was and what it aspired to be. Hell Joseon is a real place, and I felt the characters pain each time they tried, failed, then pulled themselves back up to try again. I ended up being more invested in the secondary couple than the main couple (cause they were just too dang cute), but I appreciated the main couple's struggles in their relationship and how they supported each other and held each other up when one was falling apart.

I wouldn't watch it again, but I'm glad I watched it at least once.

Gets lost in the wilderness

Starts with standard sad girl opening. Ok. Soon we learn sad girl is a tough girl with dreams. Even better she has a plan and is working hard. Sad girl meets misunderstood street boy. Uh-oh. Still through the first episodes sad girl seems to stick the plan. Yay. Uh-oh, sad girl's family is a boat anchor trying to drag her down. She cuts the cord and sets them adrift. Yay.

Second leads are rich girl wanting to stand on her own and rich guy who's an f-up. They're both pretty good characters. Yay. Of course, rich guy likes sad girl...but don't worry about it...you know where it's headed.

Drama stuff happens...ok so far. Then we take a hard left into the wilderness. Street boy takes over becomes incredibly righteous, starts his own business (CEO and suit time), strong/sad girl becomes more arm candy like now. Street boy/CEO becomes the leader of the neighborhood businesses etc. and we descend into war of the evil chaebol restaurant empire trying to crush the righteous local restaurants. Blah...so much promise wasted.

Still it's entertaining enough and I like the characters, but instead of grabbing the epicness that is within reach, this drama settles on mediocrity.

I really enjoyed this drama, it was fresh and had a unique story line. The characters were all pretty likable, all flawed people trying to find their way in a suffocating society. It was funny, sad and the romance isn't overblown against the main story. My only complaint, which affected my view of this drama a lot unfortunatly, was the ending. It felt extremely rushed, as if the writer ran out of ideas on how to end the series. The resolution of the story line is pretty shoe horned. I would still recommend this drama though, it was very fun to watch.

The only redeeming quality of this drama is Kim Seon Ho's laugh talking.

I was pretty hopeful going into this drama, and it started off ok, but for me the entire script was weighed down by really gross and unclean feeling behavior by almost every character. That's no reflection on the actors, who clearly tried their best...but the script is actual trash. I will say though, Kim Seon Ho is really fun to watch in almost every show. Little dude does this really pleasant laugh/talk combination that just makes him super likeable even when he's playing a dick or, like in this drama, a whiny entitled little crybaby.

My biggest issue with this drama, apart from the arguably weak plot hooks, is the cringe behavior of most of the characters. You've got the rich whiny dude, the rich rapey hyper-agressive immature chick (probably the best character in the show tbh, from a comedy perspective), the physically abusive FL, and the domineering-under-the-guise-of-being-helpful ML. Of them all the ML got the worst character in the script. It was gross how he forced his own personal beliefs on how people should live onto literally everyone he met. It was gross when his interactions with the FL lead turned from sweet to controlling. It was gross when he forced people to behave in ways he deemed appropriate, even when they asked him to stop. It was gross when he was allowed to behave poorly and get mad but chastised the FL lead for doing the same. The whole thing got super cringe super fast, which was disappointing because the interactions in the first part of the show seemed so healthy.

I couldn't get into this show...I almost stopped multiple times, but I have a disease where I want to finish whatever I've started...so I dropped several more hours into the frustrating and honestly offensive world these poor characters had to exist in. And I'm not talking about oppression and poverty, I'm talking about unhealthy, unsustainable behaviors that are morally questionable but try to force viewers to accept these same behaviors as some sort of pinnacle of humanity.

In the end, I regret wasting my time a little bit. I can appreciate the effort from the cast and crew, but the script was pretty banal and cringe, so what's the even point.

Ordinary people with great ambitions and planning

I watched this drama because of GKP. But it turned out all the characters are strong and great. I love the story of how that one poor man went through it all to plan a digital startup. The female lead is very strong and she’s consistently strong until the end. The story has lots of appealing messages to people, but the execution had some problems that I feel it a bit boring to watch the first time. When I saw small videos on YouTube, I really enjoyed them.
I remember I felt a bit disappointed with the romance of the first couple. I mean I would expect some heavier romance between them. So it is kind of lost potential.
In general, the story of delivery men is still relevant today with Uber and grab everywhere. If you are not looking for something fancy, then this drama would offer light and heart-warming relationships and life lessons.
If you have watched startup, you will see the approach to business of these two dramas are quite different. I think this drama offers better realistic perspective on entrepreneurship than SU.
I don’t know about the music of this drama, so please ignore my rating for music.

Writing Failed a Good Start

LIKES:
Concept of friendship and delivery people are a band of brothers.
Kung-soo’s character and positivity.
Music was okay, nothing memorable.
No real FX.
Okay production.

DISLIKES:
Dan-ah wasn’t a nice person, not to family or friends. If they were trying to make her seem strong, they could’ve done it without her constantly hitting or kicking people. Sure if it was self-defence or something similar it’s fine, but it became ridiculous and not just annoying. I liked her independence, but the rest of her character was dumb.
Didn’t feel the chemistry between Kung-soo and Dan-ah, the romance aspect wasn’t really needed.
The comedy was overdone and not funny, felt stupid.
They ruined Kung-soo’s character of being a good human that doesn’t hold grudges in order to conclude his storyline, which is simply crap writing.
Rushed ending, with too much happening in the last episode, but time management was an issue throughout the whole drama. Some parts were really boring, the romances were poorly done, to the point of being cringeworthy.
Kung-soo had a bad dose of a hero complex, he didn’t have any character growth, it was almost like the writer reversed his character at the end.

OVERALL:
It started strong and then got bogged down, to the point of having boring episodes. I barely finished it.

Surprised at how much I enjoyed this show!

I was quite surprised at how much I enjoyed this series. It looked really cheesy on Netflix's home preview page. But with a friend's suggestion, I found ended up really liking it.

First of all, the show is comedic has a lot of extremely over-the-top scenes, especially with bunch of delivery bike men and their shenanigans. But that's the thing is that this show doesn't try to be too much more. The cheesy over-the-top stuff actually made me laugh a lot!!

The acting was also superb, especially the main 4. I really enjoyed Chae Soobin as the main female lead, and the other cast members were great too (I noticed Kim Seon-ho from Start Up and I quite enjoyed him in this one as a more comedic character).

In conclusion I think this one is a really easy and laid back series to watch, but it also has really loveable characters to cheer for and laugh at/with.
