Based on the manga of the same name by Mochizuki Minetaro. On the way home from a school trip, a tragic accident traps Aoki Teru's express train in a collapsed tunnel. The only other survivors of the catastrophe are his classmates, Seto Ako and Takahashi Nobuo. Teru resolves to escape to the surface, braving death, danger, and madness. But what awaits them outside is a desolate landscape of utter ruin as far as the eye can see. What could have caused such destruction? A natural disaster? A nuclear catastrophe? A time slip? With mixed emotions of hope and despair, the survivors journey towards Tokyo, encountering other survivors and inevitable chaos throughout their shattered world. --- Asian Movies Catalogue
Cast & Credits
The story is about an apocalypse. It had potential but they messed this movie (sadly) up in different ways.
First, the leads acting feels really weak and they don't move me at all. The main character is stumbling around, falling down, and then waddling around on the ground like an invalide thoughout the whole movie (and I am not overreacting I do think in the whole movie he fell down like 50 times).
Second, we're missing a good story or plot here and I don't think their actions or anything what happend was realistic. It was sometimes so boring that I skipper some scenes.
And thirth I didn't like the music at all, somehow it didn't fit the scenes.
The most annoying thing is that movie had real potential! The scenery was very good (some special effects too) but they didn't do anything with it, if it would have a more interesten story and better actors (IMO) it would have been a good movie.
Watch this if you like apocalypse movies.
Skip this if you are looking for a great story with amazing acting.
