Warrior Baek Dong Soo (2011)

Both give a similar feeling and main character development is kind of same.

Similar scenarios: A real friend will trust in you no matter what. Both drama's show the bond of friendship is stronger than greed and ambition.

Both are historical dramas with some of the best bromance I've seen in dramaland.

both have similar plots as they relate to conspiracies during the Joseon era and gave off the same vibe. When I was watching Conspiracy it reminded me of Baek Dong Soo so much even the ending was quite similar. If you liked one you will also enjoy the other :)

Somehow Warrior Baek Dong So left a similar impression on me as Weak Hero Class 1!
If you like action and heart-wrenching friendships, then these dramas are for you! The fighting choreography is some of the best ones I've seen.

Weak Hero Class 1 is a high-school drama, and it revolves around bullying and childhood trauma, while Warrior Baek Dong So is a historical/sageuk drama, which of course has a lot of political turmoil, assassinations, and sword fighting.

Even though the genre is completely different, both are dramas that highlight loyalty and betrayals, both are not romantic either. Both are great quality shows that might make you fall in love and shed tears for the characters.

Both leads start from something humbla before everything is taken away by higher power. They have a similar development

Bromance, with a bit of romance that doesn't take over the whole story

this drama has like 1/10th the viewership count to that of Goblin's, but something i consider far superior in story.

honestly, i think people who liked Goblin so much should watch this. truly an amazing drama. no fantasy though, and heavy palace politics that overrides romance. but i feel like this is THE drama that earnestly rewrites the rule for a good, heart-wrenching bromance for me, cry me a fckin river.

truly, could not recommend enough.
