I absolutely loved this offbeat love story between human and machine. I find the Premise of a Robot developing Human emotions very intriguing as the Robot also is a "better" person than the human version that he was supposed to portray. Seo Kang Joon managed to elicit entirely different feelings by portraying two characters so effortlessly. Kang So Bong as a character initially irritated me but she redeemed herself when she finally made the right choice by being less selfish, and help Nam Shin Robot to grow as his own entity. The other secondary characters, whether they are villains or not, are well-rounded that they have their own distinct personalities and characters.

worth watching just because of Seo Kang Joon

this drama was a mental rollercoaster for me, it started with all the best intentions and ended up with me wanting to rage quit watching it.

the first part of the drama is super interesting, it was entertaining and fascinating watching robot Nam Shin training and trying to act like his human counterpart; Seo Kang Joon is absolutely brilliant in this! He does an amazing job at managing the microexpressions and body language that distinguish human Nam Shin with robot Nam Shin.

i'm just sorry that after a while the drama became so boring, focusing only on who does what to get the company (from little jokes to literal murder???), with a side of human Nam Shin being an assh*le towards everyone, especially that poor robot. I mean, I guess it's understandable to be shocked and upset if you wake up from a coma and find that a robot copy of yourself has replaced you, but there's a limit to everything.

Kang So Bong has got to be one of the WORST female leads I've ever encountered. She starts as an opportunist double agent, and although she changes throughout the story and sides with the good guys (except that disgusting journalist friend of hers, who is there just to expose people's secrets and ruin lives), she is so annoying and SELFISH all the time. I'm sorry, who decided you were the only one who got to have Nam Shin 3 all to yourself and stop him? She keeps telling him he has to fight for his freedom and then tries to stop him every time he tries to do things out of his mind.

I'm not even going to mention the ending which was super fast and left me with lots of questions, but honestly I was just glad it was over, I just think it's too lazy to do a "one year later" time skip and assume that everyone is living happily ever after.

In conclusion, if you watch it, watch it for Seo Kang Joon and his amazing acting, because you're going to want to slap in the face pretty much everyone else on this series.

Very good sci-fi drama, go for it!

I was planing on rating it with 10, the rushed ending made me change my mind, otherwise excellent drama!
It was refreshing to watch a K drama free of so many irritating cliches!
It has excellent modern plot, well written and executed perfectly!

Finally to see 18 episodes free of screaming, nagging and always miserable parents.
There is no medieval traditions, still exercised in 21st! I
Fast paced, without meaningless episodes.
Melodrama free, love-triangles free, and stupid misunderstanding FREE romance!

Now the elephant in the room: You MUST watch it open-minded!
I was avoiding it for long time due to not being sure I can understand, let alone enjoy a love story between a human and a robot, actually still don’t understand it, yet, I have enjoyed every single minute of it and rooted for the tin can guy all the time!
Of course, there are many questions that risen while watching: How they will develop as a couple (i.e. the sex); how they will handle her aging, will she be happy and still loving him in 10 years, and so on. I would have been totally satisfied and happy to see some magic, pinocchio style ending, but that is just me ;)

The ending didn’t match the rest though……it’s not bad, but still a shame for such binge worthy drama!

Thought Provoking and Rich Character Development

I want to start by saying I hated the FL in the first few episodes because she was a liar, and was doing bad things for money, but slowly she begins to realize her errors and you can empathize with the things she has been through. I think her character development was done in a good pace, so it takes a few episodes for her to become likeable.

The same goes for a lot of the other main characters - there is a lot of grey lines in their morality values, and at points you are not sure which characters you should actually be rooting for.

The whole point of the show is to question what it really means to be human, and it explores how artificial intelligence could connect with humans and evolve according to the kind of humans that develop it and control it.

The romance between robot/human might seem weird if you've never been exposed to something like this, but I've seen other media that explore this topic, so it wasn't totally new. It was very mild in that sense, but it was both sweet and intense and painful (which I like for some reason). If you like slow burn romance, tragic star crossed lovers type of stories, this might be it.

Side note: No one can convince me that Ji Young Hoon and the human Nam Shim are not actually in love (the hand touching, the painful longing looks and the fact that they are each other's most important person... come on!).

Absolutely one of the best dramas i've watched. Every individual character plays a role in the drama adding depth to the story. Ngl cried multiple times throughout the show, and the acting was phenomenal. It had every little detail have meaning to the very end. The visuals of the film itself, cast and most make it even better. One of the only dramas i've watched besides while you were sleeping that gave me the awe factor and genuinely could rewatch so many times. You know its a good drama when you can feel strong emotions towards the characters portrayed such as resentment and the wanting of him or her to end up fine and only the good things to happen and this drama overdid itself by making me emotionally attached to each and every character.

This drama is very deep. It teaches us the meaning of being a human being and, in the end, we understand that it doesn't matter who we are, how we look or what our gender is (even our own humanity as a biological component is put aside), because everyone can have humanity. At the end of the story it comes out that, as ironic as it may seem, a robot can be more human than us! Executive Director Seo is also an example of a human without humanity and if we try comparing him with the AI Nam Shin III we'll soon realize who's more human than the other.
Besides of that, every character of this show is absolutely perfect and the acting was amazing. The producers of this drama really did a good job.
(A special thank you for his hard work goes to Seo Kang Joon and his wonderful acting)

!!!!!!!!AMAZING!!!!!!!!!
Are you human too is an addictive drama. Just watching a single episode makes me to watch the all episodes released in one night. After long time I found a good drama with good acting leads. Music is amazing. Good stunts.I already watched almost all famous dramas. After watching all these good dramas I can't find a good drama until are you human too.I usually skip the episodes in kdrama but I can't seek a single second in this drama because it has a gripping story.
For me are you human too drama is better than what's wrong with secretary Kim. What's wrong with secretary Kim is also a good drama but if you give me a chance to pick any one of these two dramas ,I will definitely choose are you human too.

The plot of this story is very unique and interesting so far. I look forward to the new episode coming out every week, if I was watching the completed series I would be pulling an all-nighter. The acting is very good so far and there’s is a lot of drama and suspense. The main leads are so cute and good looking, even the secretary. The male lead’s acting is very good , I get so excited when he switches from his cold persona to cheerful persona. So far, I would recommend this series if you are looking for something very interesting to binge watch.

At this point, Only 13/18 episodes have aired of "Are you Human too", which I have seen, and I think that is already plenty for me to give my opinion about this drama, It is THE DRAMA OF THE YEAR. The Glamorous Drama I have been waiting for ever since Goblin. I love how convincing the robot's acting is- it is so perfect that while it gives you a sense of non-human interaction, you still feel a deep sympathy for him. One almost shares the robot's dilemma of human emotions. The story gets you hooked from the beginning, because you really don't know what is ganna happen next. The plot is full of surprises. I recommend this drama for anyone who has been longing for a new unique one.

Really liked the beginning then it got so tedious

I do not know where it went particularly wrong but what I do know is that at the halfway mark - I lost utter interest .

To start with the positive , the premise of the show is great and worth a starting of the show. The brilliant AI Robot and the circumstances surrounding his creation were really captivating story points. Where it went wrong for me was the very quick resolve of the situations in the world of Are You Human Too? It kinda got rid of its angst and X Factor that it could have had going for it . Every great piece of screen play has great tension and pull and the writers were adamant in getting rid of it at all costs which I thought had a purpose but then served as BORING.

So ? Everyone KNOWS EVERYTHING, what is the point and you are telling me we have 10 more eps to go???? Doing what ?

Then , the female characters in the brilliant Mom scientist and the kicking ass bodyguard just all became weeping heaps despite the strong backgrounds. Honestly , I was exhausted .

Then there was the obsessive second female lead who also seemed to have a rather strong intellectual pursuit and she was bogged down to a literal bedside BUT we were introduced to her running PR of a whole conglomerate! AAARGH

The plot twists seemed forced too like they were correcting their past mistake in resolving everything too quickly by eps 5 so they cheaply threw in some pointless plot twists.

And the last gripe was the romance . Just a no from me. Badly presented . Badly done . Kang So Bong was just not written to deliver.

And no - I do not think that this show had any brilliant commentary on being human and being a robot as most people suppose.

Overall - I really tried but the points listed were just too overwhelming for me to continue.
