I was really interested in this show. The idea of the girl who could see the life span clocks of everyone was unusual and intriguing. And for about the first 10 episodes, I really enjoyed it. However, then things changed.

The main female lead started getting on my last nerve with her choices. I liked Lee Sung Kyung in other things so it's not her acting. I think it was the writing for her character that really started to bug me. The on again/off again way that so much of the story was written just became too much for me. It is just riddled with plot lines that are "lets do this, no wait, lets not do this, ok well, maybe lets do this." And I'm not just talking about the main characters story line...it's literally throughout LOTS of the story lines. You just want to shout, "SOMEONE STICK WITH A DECISION ABOUT SOMETHING!"

So, I can't really recommend this show. It's not horrible, but it's not great. It's decently acted and will fill some time for you, so if that's what you are looking for, then it can fill those requirements.

Let me review this drama by points,

1) Amazing plot ruined by story writer

2) Chemistry between the two main leads not enough. First I think it will grow over the upcoming episodes but I am wrong.

3)Mika's brother relationship with Mika's friend is more interesting than the two main leads.

4) Lead actress performed well than the lead actor

5) If they use this clock concept with perfectly well written story ,this drama will be the best drama of the year.

6) Overall it still watchable if you have time , just give it a try for the handwork of about time drama cast.

Didn't like the ending, didn't really liked the cast, as if there was no chemistry between main male and female actors, but what bothers me the most is that it was pretty much useless. I was hoping one of them would die in the end or something different would happen (I'm a fan of sad endings or some type of endings that aren't happy with this type of storyline), but instead of sad ending they put useless ending instead which destroyed everything I've watched from the first episode.
Would never rewatch this drama, would not recommend to anyone. This is only good as a background if you're doing something else, not a drama to go very deep into trying to understand what's happening when in the end it's a total flop.

Love is a question of time or timing...

Could be awesome with the wonderful and thrilling idea of the story.

STORY
Life time is imprinted in everyone's skin but only few can see it. One of the few is Choi Mika, a joyful girl that has less than 100 days to live. But...
She encounters Lee Do Ha that can stop her clock and, as she discovers later, even increase her life time.

And the drama is about that. The stage is a cultural enterprise that will produce a Musical show. It deals with practice, actors, castings, etc but I think this is not important to the show. And, at least for me, is a little boring.
They struggle because of the fact that her time increases draining his time. So Choi Mika prefers not to be with him, but he loves her very much...

ACTING - it is good. Everyone does the job, but I like specially Bae Soo Bong (Im Se Mi), even if I find her character weak, even if she resembles being very strong.

OST - it's fine, I don't appreciate very much musical songs.

REWATCH - no, because there are so many shows better for me and I know the outcome of this.

OVERALL
Don't know how I can put my thoughts in order.

Is there a love triangle? Don't think so because Lee Do Ha never thought about Bae Soo Bong.
Don't understand Bae Soo ending like that! I such powerful woman and...she deserves a better ending for her. I think there are not any interesting things happening except the time struggle. Well, the second couple romance is kind of cute.

What is the reason for that ending. I think it is poor, long without addressing some issues and...
It could be so much better...

idk why some of y’all hate this K drama

Ok being honest I only started to watch this show for the actor, Lee Sung Kyung and maybe to get a few cries out of this drama because I’ve been obsessed with sad k dramas. Anyways I know people say the ending is really bad and I mean I understand that cuz I was like really confused at the end but OVERALL the k drama had very good romantic scenes and cute scenes that made me giggles a lot and I don’t get how some ppl always have to bring real life into this! Like this is k dram not irl and it has the word fantasy in the genre! I think I really like this drama cuz of the OST!!!so i highly recommend this drama to someone that likes a cute storys btw the story is pretty depressing sometimes so beware

Very good plot, but spoilt by side stories

Some generic stuff before the review of the drama: I am from India. My first review here. Used to watch Korean drama clips on Facebook. Very impressive. I don't know the titles of the clips. Very interesting fresh dramas..But then I don't get those clips these days often in my feed for whatever reason. Indian TV dramas are single dimensional. I am not going to crib about it here. I like the way how Korean people apologize each other with a half bent. Very respectful towards others., Elders are treated with respect. Quite close to Indian family standards.

This is my first Korean drama which I watched fully. I was able to finish this one completely because of the impressions i got from other korean dramas.

I am not familiar with the names of the actors. I may use their roles instead.

The plot was very interesting and fresh. In the small clips that I used to see in my feed, I got to see the intro of the drama and I felt it was an interesting perspective. In fact that single scene and the lead actress are the reason the show was watchable for me. I am here reading reviews after watching the ful drama because of the only reason that I am unhappy with the way the interesting plot was messed up because of not so good side stories and unrelated musicals / songs in between ruining the whole plot. I skipped all the songs. It was slowing down the show.

- The whole casting was good. Except that the age difference between the two lead actors was visible. He is a great actor, but for his age. three women fighting over him was bit unacceptable

I totally get that the hero was grim because of his past break-up and if it has been a young actor, someone like that director in the drama, it would have been great.

The best scenes are the ones between the lovers. The actress negative role was also good.

All the sub plots seems okay. Somehow the drama didn't have the same impression i used to get in the clips

About time introduces the viewer with a new concept, the ability to see your time of death. The whole drama revolves around the question, what if you meet someone who can extend your life? So, the premisses nice enough, the story interesting, the chemistry between the two leads is killing it and the first episodes were sooooo good, it was only a matter of time beofore this one started to go down. And it did. Unfortunately, the musical parts were tiring, the story started getting boring and the twists were just too predictable to entertain. Those things killed the romance, that was so strong and emotional at first. The final ending was good, but I guess a more dramatic one would have been kind of better.

About Time (2018) - The concept of the drama is really nice, but I think the chosen actors for the drama fell short of my expectations, and eventually made the drama uninteresting for me as a viewer. I did finish this drama for the sake of finishing this one. There is no definite reason behind the clock and all and so I think an answer was not given to me as a viewer to think that it is the main focus of the drama as the name suggest. I think it’s too “romantic” for me, still there are heartbreaking moments especially when it comes to family but I think it gets more tiring at the end part since the comedic part was nowhere to be seen which is what was initially portrayed in the drama. No chemistry between the leads and sorry female lead, this type of character does not really suit you.

Well the last episode was really confusing for me but still I managed to finish it. What I loved in this drama was the MUSIC. I really can't help but fell in love with the songs and the background score. This was a different genre and was interesting to watch it at first. But I felt bored in the middle of episodes and stopped watching it. After some gap I again continued to see it. I can't say I loved this drama but it was okay in general. It was bit boring for me and I wished the male lead actor could be some other guy. Overall it was a decent drama with few ups and downs.

would have made a good web drama

I'll echo everybody else by saying, this was an interesting premise. but its not enough of a concept to warrant an entire drama. think "Dear My Name", a web drama about ppl whose true love is written in them. it's a similar concept, but I think "Dear My Name" works better bc it doesn't try to be more than what it is.

About Time tries to do everything. the musical storyline was uninteresting. Dongjun's character was fully unnecessary. I aggressively did not care about the friend/brother's romance. basically anything that wasn't the main romance would have been cut for me.

but even the main romance: why do the ML/FL change on a dime? FL is very comfortable going after what she wants, and when ML agrees, she immediately acts like she doesn't want it. there's no explanation; the audience is just left to guess at her reasons (which may be reasonable, but are left unsaid).

like I said, interesting idea. but maybe if they had ONLY done that idea, instead of all of it, it could have worked.

The concept of 'seeing life clocks' was interesting and that's what made me watch this drama.

Story : In the beginning the story was good leading on to something but didn't. Even if the Choi Mikaela could see the time how they survived was a mystery I couldn't grasp. The love triangle made me want to drop it all along.
Acting: Leads role were good. Choi Mikaela and Lee Do Ha both did well and their chemistry got good after a while.
Park Woo Jin ( Secretary) did an amazing job bantering with Lee Do Ha all the time. Han Seung Yeon and Choi Wi Jin had very cute roles and I loved them! Although the mother was irritating to watch. The director, old lady, Lee Do Ha's brothers all there for no reason.
Music: There were so many songs in the drama and only few were good.
Overall: It was pretty average if you count everything in.

A Drama Worth The Watch

This drama took me by surprise. It was not my intention to watch the entire show. Was suppose to be a simple quick check as I was looking to see Lee Sang Yoon's work. However, on first episode, I was already captivated. The story and the love story within was really VERY GOOD.

A woman, Choi Mikaela (Lee Sung Kyung), is someone who can see everyone's time of death reveal to her, as an imprint on their bodies and unfortunately, she can even see her own. With 100 plus days to live, she accidentally realizes that her time clock stops, when she is in close proximity to a gentleman named Lee Do Ha (Lee Sang Yoon). Eventually, not only will her time clock stop, but as she consistently is with him and happy, her life span 'extends' favorably. Their chemistry together from hate to love. From discomfort to deep commitment was a tremendously strong performance and one could not help but keep rooting for the FL every time she gains more time.

Obviously, the show went up another notch as we see everyone's life revolving around this couple also had their very own story to tell, The relationships that can be so precious, especially when you know when that person will die. Have we done enough for them, did we tell them what we wanted to say, everything seems so much more urgent, with little time left. The stories as it was told and played out by a very strong cast was touching and did bring out much emotion and self-realization of relationships around me. Furthermore, it helped to also have the "bad ass" fiance, Sung Hee (Han Seong Yeon) who fought tooth and nail to keep Do Ha from Choi Mikeala. Sung Hee kept the frustration, and she definitely kept my attention throughout....nothing better than a really good, bad lady. But, yes, Do Ha only loves Mikaela.

The only "glitch" for me, which I think perhaps also affected some viewers, was at the point when Mikaela realized that when her time lengthens, Do Ha's own life span 'decreases'. Realizing that this transfer of life will eventually cause early death to Do Ha. I would have much preferred that she talked about it with Do Ha, but as the drama would have it, she keeps running away from him without explanation. These few episodes did get on my nerves. But , Do Ha's love, perseverance and commitment to her was perfection and truly warmed my heart.

The message about love in this drama was well written in relation to time. Not a moment to be wasted. This drama is highly recommended. It is not a perfect drama but truly WORTH THE WATCH.

Cheers! K-drama Forever!!
