The worst possible story development

First half was very good. Easy to watch and funny. But second half was bad. It was painfull to watch festival of mutual crying with only a few good moments. And the last 4 episodes was totally useless.

Meeting her in the train and spying her was a total nonsense absurd and naiveness.

And why she tried to reject him? She could just pretend she is only a model for AG-3. Why her bevavior is similar to AG-3? Because robot was programmed to be like her. That's all.

Perfect argument. She can just pretend that she meets him first time and they would be together without problems. Even if he some day would know a truth he propably wouldn't react so dramatically, maybe even would be happy that she was AG-3.

Instead this we got totally unreasonable behavior of main character and very bad plot.

Or maybe instead "accidental meeting in the train" he should meet with Jo in business purposes and suddenly realize that she is very similar to AG-3 and try to date with her, gradually getting aware that she was a model for AG-3.

There were many possibilites to develop the story. Instead we got a very naive and absurd plot with only a few good eposodes after he realized she was a robot.

Let me start off by saying this drama is truly worth it. It makes you want to watch more of it, no matter how long you have to wait (Which is something I don't usually do but it was that good that I waited weekly for it). Jia and Minkyu are unlikely yet comically paired, which is what I loved the most starting this drama. Their relationship leans towards a funny luck of fate that turns into a love story that you'll probably never forget once you watch it. Jia is a dreamer, one who finds herself in a predicament that eventually leads to something she couldn't have expected if she tried. Minkyu is stuck in his own problems, mainly from his possibly deadly allergy to human contact. Together, they make one of the best story lines I've watched so far. I'm Not a Robot will make you frustrated, teary eyed, and laughing all in 32 episodes. It's truly one of those dramas that is beyond sweet, funny, and just amazing to watch. I'm speaking highly of this drama because I believe it deserves to be spoken highly of. The chemistry of the main couple, and even the entire cast is what makes you love this drama even more. For 32 episodes, it makes you willing to rewatch it, just to see the story once more. Jia and Minkyu show the depth of a relationship, the ups and downs, all while pulling you into their story further. I'm Not a Robot is worth the watch, and if you don't believe me, watch it for yourself. (Hint: You won't regret it.)

Overall, I loved this show. The cast is amazing and it is very well acted.
At the beginning, it's really really funny, though it turns more into a drama along the way, to the point that the tone changes completely. This is probably due to the fact that 32 episodes were, imo, too much for this story, since it's quite obvious towards the end that a few episodes were basically fillers and a bit repetitive. This, and the fact that the tone could've been better balanced in the final episodes, is the only reason why I can't give a full 10. But it is still a very good show and I recommend it.

Here goes my first review.
It's not easy to keep up with Kdrama. So many to watch, so little time. But I am a fan of Yoo Seung Ho, so even though I hesitated to watch this drama, eventually my wish to see him act won and I dived in with zero expectations...and I ended up binge watching it. I could not stop.
What I loved the most about it was the chemistry of the cast. I think it's the key to success. You can have the best cast and the best story, but if they don't click in front of the camera you'll end up with a disaster. I'll reference here Thirty But Seventeen fiasco, in my humble opinion.
One second I was laughing so hard my stomach hurt and next second I was grabbing for tissues sobbing like a teenage girl that got dumped by her celebrity idol (and I am nowhere near a teenager).
On a serious note, what I liked the most about it was the acceptance of the different they tried to promote. The desire to help someone. I didn't find the usual shallowness in this one. Also they managed to come full circle and wrap it up elegantly.
I'll stop here simply because it's hard to say more without spoiling it and I'll just say, it's worth watching because it's a well rounded drama.
Enjoy!

So, I really did not enjoy this drama as much as I thought I would based on the reviews. The first half was quite promising, and I think both the romance and characters of the leads were being very well developed. However, that gets somewhat wasted in the second half. The two leads spend several, painfully slow, episodes apart, to the point where I was honestly beginning to forget about the development of their cute romance. Not to mention the whiplash from going from a very lighthearted and comedic first half to suddenly being thrust into an extremely melodramatic second half.

And this second note is a minor one, but I also was not really that interested in any of the subplots. The corporate drama was boring and predictable, and the side characters' romantic subplots were passable at best.

I didn't know I would love this drama so much that I end up watching all night just to finish this in one sitting.
I fell for Yoo Seung Ho. He's such an amazing actor. I've only seen him in Missing You and I hated him a lot on that drama.  I wish to see him more and I am excited about his new project with Kim So Hyun.
There's nothing unlikable about this drama. I cried a lot and laugh a lot. I just soooo love this. I want to have more. I just don't want it to end. It's been a long time since I've felt like this after finishing a drama. I want part 2 T.T!!!!!!!

Wow

I recently reached my milestone of having watched over 100 k-dramas and was thinking about what would be in my top 10. This romantic comedy is definitely one of them. I am surprised that this is still considered so underrated.

I prefer comedies that are realistic, yes, that is difficult when you have a drama about a robot that is so human it is unlikely to exist for another 100 years, but I hate shows that step into the territory of being a farce. I think that is very hard to do and is something that Western comedies frequently fail at. Some may argue that it is often too serious to be a comedy. That is partly true once we reach the middle part of this drama, but it does not last too long.

I like to try and think how I would respond if I was in the same position that the characters find themselves in. I know this can be a bit of a stretch and it is unlikely I will ever be rich or meet a lifelike robot, but I really think I would behave the same if I was in their shoes.

The best comedy for me is when the characters try their best to play it straight. The situation may be funny, or even absurd, but the actors are not acting as it being so. Their actions are believable and not exaggerated. This is where such a good script helps the ML and FL really show what great actors they are.

I really have to commend the writer for creating such a flawed ML character who starts of as immature, but likeable, and who matures in a methodical and realistic manner. There are no sudden jumps or changes in character. You must praise an actor who is capable of showing anger but whose actions are understandable and human but shows an emotional growth that is rare in any drama, never mind a romantic comedy. Although the FL character made mistakes, she remains sympathetic and loveable. Again, the right actress with a good script.

I maybe would have liked the ending to go slightly further. I say maybe because I did not want this drama to end, but the ending works without dragging the drama on unnecessarily.

I also love the music on this show. It is not overused, it emphasizes the comedy and hits the right emotional notes when needed without being forced.

I think this is a good drama for when you're in the mood for a simple drama. To be honest there aren't a whole lot of elements to this other than some slight angst and romance. Of course, it's a kdrama- so it does have a love triangle involved which made room for character development. This being said, I would have liked the plot to be a bit more complex, I just felt like the story-line was missing something. I can't put a finger on what, but I needed a bit more spice to give a 10 star review. Honestly, I don't see myself re-watching this but I would recommend it to someone trying to enter the kdrama realm. The casting a great, story-line is great, and the elements are good for someone just getting into kdramas.

Fun watch

Rated down strictly because this show was entirely too long, with too much extraneous stuff. Aside from that, this was a wonderful drama. The two main characters in this were lovely. I loved their relationship. His dialogue with her after he finds out that she's a robot? He was absolutely wonderful and my heart broke for both of them. His friendship with the team was fun to watch, they were all misfits in their own way, yet they found friendship with each other. The ending was cute, though somewhat rushed. Definitely a good show to watch, though. Great chemistry between the two main characters, no "fish face, open eyes kisses".

The cutest cuties

This were my second drama I watched with 유승호 오빠 as a ML. I rewatched this many times.
Story: Really interesting plot. A psychological disorder refering inability to touch a human' body because of trauma. He trusts robots. But develops feelings for "robot" FL. This is the plot twist I like haha.
Acting /Cast: I adore all members of "I'm not a robot" cast. SeungHo acts very well. Noone's acting nor character annoyed me.
Music: For me OST is the most crucial thing because it can take us bad to the thrills, story of drama. Light songs. I love it. I have noticed that Stella Jang sang also in MY STRANGE WAY HERO OST.
Rewatch value: not too many not too little. Just
Overall. Chemistry between FLl and ML is thr cutest.

I've stayed really far from this drama for a really long time. The story, the cast and the cover in itself they weren't convincing me from watching it because I've thought that was the same rom-com drama were from a bunch of accidents start a love story, but I was extremely wrong.
I love it since the first episode!
I loved the cast, the story, EVERYTHING!!!
The story starts in a funny way, but from episode 20 till the end becomes really deep, touching and super sad in many parts which make this drama, the perfect Kdrama!!

This drama is an unexpected, wholesome gem and deserves all the love it receives. I'm not good with words, but this drama left me with so many positive feelings that I felt compelled to try writing a review--I hope that these words, alongside the other great reviews, may help convince someone to give this a try.

Since many have emphasized what a pleasant surprise this drama was, I'd like to reach out to those who are still skeptical. This is for the reviewers who have faced disappointment in even the most popular romcoms, or even their favorite ones, because I am the same. I'm here to tell you that you can let go of your doubts.

I recently began watching dramas again a month ago and kept seeing this title pop up on the front page, but I'd skip on it. The saccharine-sweetness, the cliches, the lackluster humor or the abundance of plot-related letdowns that I had experienced so many times over--no, I had sworn to myself I would not fall for that again. ...And I didn't.

After watching through the first episodes of other dramas and giving my complete attention to them, hoping that one would keep me going, my will started dwindling. I decided to give I'm Not A Robot a shot. Once in a while you'll find a diamond in the rough. This is that diamond.

WHAT TO EXPECT
It's one of the most well-balanced romcoms I've ever watched, which is an odd way to describe one, but you know what I mean--there's a pattern in dramas you find after watching a couple dozen dramas, that leaves you with less hope and lower standards when you're picking out your next watch. Maybe the 15th episode or 16th episode contradicts the past 14 episodes--14 hours!--you've invested into it. Perhaps some of the unaddressed conflicts leaves you feeling irritated. Perhaps your interest begins dwindling after the leads get together, which is something that you can't help of course. Perhaps you've grown to love the secondary characters, and feel a tinge of regret because they don't receive enough screentime. Or perhaps you're tired of the melodrama consuming the entirety of the episodes.

You will not find these issues in I'm Not A Robot. Yes, I was amazed and beyond impressed! How could such a little-known drama, with such a seemingly basic premise, do so much right, when my other beloved dramas haven't been able to do it?

In this drama, you'll find an oddly impressive chemistry between the leads. You'll find a phenomenal delivery of acting and emotions by our leads, supported by a strong secondary cast. You'll grow a fondness for that extended cast of characters. You'll find yourself not feeling concerned about the questionable plot because everything around it works in symbiosis to make you feel comfortable. You won't find a beyond-the-top makeover scene that's supposed to impress you, because this drama is so good that it doesn't rely on it or the other common, tacky romcom plot devices. You won't find an edgy, over-the-top, poignant statement so obscure that everyone will point it out and dissect it. This drama is straight and direct, genuinely warm and cozy, and pulls no punches to play with the logic you've grown used to in dramaland.

Most importantly, you won't feel a tinge of regret or sadness after completing 32/32 episodes--you'll just want to watch it again.
