Arthouse films made by two of the most acclaimed Korean directors, Park Chan Wook and Lee Chang Dong. Both films stun viewers with their ambiguity, subtle elements, and unresolved mysteries.

Both films are a gem; for its character studies matched with impeccable performances and for its story which keeps you guessing until the end and for hours afterwards.

I should also add the surreal dance both female leads share, is sure to be one to remember in cinema history.

Both are atmospheric thrillers with heart with a heavy psychological aspect and similar Korean countryside locations.

Note both are very different stories.
Similarities: Slow Burn Stories, similar vibes, slightly dark, exceellent acting.

Broker movies is about an important issue, Burning dialogues has deep philosophical meaning.

Though Burning gives similar vibes, it has a terrific ending compared to Broker. Last 30 min is intense in both the movies. (May be Burning is much more intense)

If you like Broker, you might enjoy Burning as well.

Both have characters that you'll get invested in. Both have messed up stories that say something about the human condition in a unique way. Showing you both heartlessness and sacrifice.

Ok I know these two don't seem alike but both these films are character studies that delve into the mind of screwed up people. Both have a transgressive feel with moments that will make you feel uncomfortable but it's going to be worth it in the end. In Burning the emphasis is on the strange relationship between Yoo Ah In and Yeun's and the girl despite having a third character of the girl they both desire and Middle School Girl A is about Hwan Hee and Suho's relationship even though she has a boy she really loves. Because neither of them are lovers but practically strangers.

Similar atmosphere, heavily reliant on symbolism and direction. More character than plot based. Both require you to not be a passive viewer, and use critical thinking/analysis. These films also explore similar themes, such as capitalism/poverty and pursuing your desires/dreams. The interactions between the two ML's are reminiscent of one other. If you liked one movie, it's worth giving the other a try.

Both films tell a story about:
- unfulfilled love;
- loneliness and longing for another person;
- emotionally broken people who try to survive in this world.

Both films are unforgettable, and the actors nailed their roles.

Both SFH and Burning are brilliant psychological thrillers. Both MLs aspire to be writers while struggling in society because of their financial status. Moonjo and Ben are seriously brothers from different mothers too ^^

They're both beautifully filmed, slow-burn dramas. They both have low-key criminal/thriller plots that are secondary to the human relationships.

Very creepy, slow burn movies with a lot of symbolism

Both make you think long after you finish viewing them, requiring you to unpack what you just watched

The male leads are very similar, they both are poor, they r nice but have dark personality , can flip anytime,they both handle things silently n smartly . The female lead in both the movies are crazy too.
What makes both the movies most similar is the direction, they r both slow paced,heavy n dark, the economic n social differences r very well portrayed, with a deep meaning n what they can result into, ambience n interaction with people to solve the things.

Slow burn mysteries in which the character our mc is attracted to disappears. The endings are both open and leave room for own interpretation.
