Method (2017)

Although they have diferent plots, they both have dark, misterious vibe. They have a good plot going on. If you dont wanna watch cheesy, cliche bl give this a watch.

They are both South Korean and deal with are actors coming to terms with homosexuality through a play that deals with it.

Similar plotline of actors in a romance becoming romantically involved with each other in reality. Method is a darker take on the concept though.

Both are korean psychological thrillers about manipulation, power imbalance, obsession and obsessive love, unclear motivations and twisted characters that dont hesitate going to extremes. Both include taboo love triangles and age gaps and are pretty dark.

Both are Korean language BLs where one of the male leads is questionable in terms of his true feelings for the other male lead. There are mind games and turbulent lovers with both films.

Method is a Korean movie about two actors rehearsing for a play and the unhealthy hold they have on each other.

Both are films about a seemingly straight dude who gets pulled into a tangled game of cat and mouse but BL version. Complex feelings, love triangles, and dark undertones.

Both play with "what is real and what is part of the story." I can't explain more without spoiling.

Both main male leads have wives and supposedly happy lives until they start a forbidden affair with someone much younger than them. That other person falls in love HARD and doesnt mind going to great lengths..

The story, set in a theater club, is about a guy who wants to be an actor. At the beginning there are misunderstandings between the two protagonists but afterwards they begin to feel feelings that cannot be compared to a simple friendship. The plot is quite similar ;;

- both are psychological thrillers
- both have a gay relationship
- imo both have an obsessive relationship (?) method less so
- minor cheating (on the side heterosexual relationship) subplot
- both movies

1. One of the main characters is an actor.
2. Homosexual relationships.
3. Betrayal and the same method as in the "Method".

Both productions revolve around theatre; both have a similar premise where actors get too involved with their roles.

If you liked this hot mess, you will probably like Method. Method is basically the better version of Depravity / Break. It's about a method actor who gets way to absorbed in his role with his costar in a twisted love story. I honestly feel like the plot points are more interesting in Depravity, especially the lack of ambiguity, but the execution is so much better in Method.
